Most current AAA chase that big microtransaction money and don't focus on a great story. Retro games only had compelling gameplay and story to help sell their games
I agree totally
Play Hellblade 2 & Jedi Survivor
@@erniegutierrez410 I haven't had a chance to try hellblade yet, but I heard it's it's stunning. Jedi survivor was spectacular. It's nice when studios don't chase microtransactions and create jewels like those
I have a feeling that you'd be blown away by Y's I & II Chronicles. The games play identical to their 1980's countparts in terms of gameplay but the visuals and music were redone around 2009 I believe. They are masterpieces, I was absolutely shocked by just how good they were.
I’ve been slowly beating all the games.
@user-rl2jl8zx1c Sweet! I stopped after Origins and waiting on Nordics before moving on, still buying all the games though.
Everything you said is totally true and exacly what I've been feeling nowadays (31 years old Game Dev and currently being extremely drawn to the retro/remaster games from back when I was a teeneager, instead of playing what's currently releasing) 😄
Since we got a switch around the last holiday season. The only time any of our Xbox’s have been on was to stream. Until my wife took a vacation and she went back and finished hogwarts.
We now have 2 switch’s.
Handhelds are the future.
I couldn't buy the Steam Deck because the lack of physical support or steam subscription service... especially knowing how anti consumer Valve was discovered to be in Europe & Latin America
I'm new to the channel, and I love it. I was on the fence about a deck, but you pushed me over it, ordered one this morning.
Welcome aboard!
34 year old future dad here, the joy Paper Mario has brought me over the last week is more than any next gen AAA over the last 4 years.
Hey man. I find your positivity and joy infectious. Keep it up.
My RG35xx SP Comes in this week too!!🎉
This video speaks to my sole
My mind is being flung back to a decade ago, sitting in the playpen with my first kid, playing my 3DS or Vita.
I've always been a handheld gamer, double dipping where I could to play a favorite on the go, or away from the TV.
The Wii U was almost everything I needed as a Dad gamer....until the Switch came out.
My library of Switch games rival my PS2 library.....it's really the best thing to get if you don't want to sail the seven seas.
Love listening to you talk about gaming while having something to eat or a tea dude. Thank you
no problem love doing it!!
Amen! This guy speaks about what I’ve been feeling playing Paper Mario lately. Thought it was just me. Retro gaming FTW!
Unfortunately, I have not been afforded the time to step away from modern gaming as of late. I was one of the first to get their hands on Analogue Pocket (yet to use it), bought a brand new Japanese DS Lite and soon might own a RetroTink 4K. All of this but for what? I just don't have the time fill it with anything outside the working towards the latests entries in the Trails series, that isn't even factoring in things like Elden Ring's DLC, possible DS2 run with a friend, finishing FFVIIR-2 and starting SMTV:V.
I would love to experience a GBA game on the Pocket in full or replay Pokemon Platinum but I guess I am not longing for those experiences yet. I only got serious about my genre preferences in 2015, and in that decade I've completed plenty of games but I am still behind on games that I deem most critical. Once I am up to date on the latest Trails game I am sure my game schedule will be more varied to accomodate a range of games both new and old but till July 2025 I am booked.
Also sometimes I wonder why people constantly bring up issues with the current trends in the industry. There are plenty of games, and apart from Atlus release/delisting, I am not experiencing the latest negative trends in gaming.
What up!
I got an hd converter for my nintendo wii. And I have been collecting gamecube and wii games and enjoying those. Just got done playing Xmen Legends. Older games just have that it factor
Old games FTW
If I wanna play gameboy it's on my phone, if I want ps2 it's on my deck
I have a coffee question: pour over method with the Hario v60 or Aeropress if you could only choose one.
Also, the free coffee membership link isn’t working for me.
I love the aeropress because of the amount and the versatility really!

I just bought a switch oled. Am I mad ? Maybe. But it’s just so good for pick up and play gaming. It’s got old games , new games , Nintendo games , indie games. I have changed my gaming ways , I even tried to get into some old AAA I loved , just don’t have the time . Diablo 3 and tears of the kingdom are my 2 games I’m playing at the moment.
Why would you be mad? You are in for an amazing time. There is SO much to play on it. AAA first party titles, 3rd-Party Games, Indies...you name it. The switch has reignited my passion for gaming. Glad you got it. Wish you a good time and happy gaming!
Also playing through old games. Such a good time
Hit the nail on the head - you have a new sub 👍🏻
Those old times for gaming was amazing
