Well, despite what I think about the desirability of the end package, to be fair: it does have a massive amount of very high-quality engineering in it. They use lots of exotic materials, apparently they do do things properly, they test their product thoroughly, and above all they've created lots of bespoke in-house systems and tech. I may not think they've been successful in the end due to shortcomings in other areas and yet-unrefined areas, but there's no doubting there's lots of impressive stuff in those cars. Couple that with how expensive bespoke cars are nowadays and the price isn't that outrageous. _If_ Zenvo one day comes out with a new model that is much more cohesive and successful, then that might make very early Zenvos desirable and gain in value? Unlikely, but... Vintage car remanufacturers in the USA routinely ask well over half a million to over a million for old cars they've straightened up, shined up, and plonked crate motors into... Ruf made an impressive, but not that massively capital-intensive completely new interpretation of a 911 without any revolutionary or really cutting edge tech (a carbon tub, yes, and they did redesign just about every part, but in today's world that is pretty routine and only counted in work hours instead of massive investment). They charge about a million for a redone, 'simple' old 911. They've publicly told us they only invested €12 million into its development which is an astoundingly small investment, and for sure a fraction of what has gone into Zenvo.
@@20nobody20 according to Car and Driver, it’s based off a GM LSx crate engine. The heads do look eerily like LS stuff also. I don’t think that takes away from the car, because while the block may be LS based, the rest is ‘just’ bespoke/high end parts bolted into/onto it.

I can't possible see that Zenvo hold its value is Shmee was crazy enough to buy its 2 million, I mean nothing on it is worth that much, nor is the companies brand image. It's massively overpriced, and that rear wing looks TERRIBLY cheap.
This is really cool but also would be very comedic if after letting him place like 5 things at the factory he leaves and all the guys are like “take it off he placed it wrong jeezzz” but when he asks they’re like “yaaa that’s the one you placed”
It's pretty cool looking. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the wing. Don't get me wrong I love active areo wings just that thing dances like it's doing gymnastics. A bit to much for me personally but that thing is really damn cool non the less

He got paid to pretend to buy a Zenvo and market it a while. Owning a Pagani costs absolutely massively, Pagani totally pumps all Pagani owners dry with their totally insane mandatory maintenance costs. So: make money while pretending to buy a Zenvo in a deal with Zenvo, or haemorrhage money like no tomorrow by genuinely buying a Pagani?

@@vvaannzz What makes you think he would pay anywhere near full price for a Zenvo? That's a totally unrealistic scenario that one of the most famous youtubers and marketers on the planet would just happen to select to buy a totally unknown and questionable supercar, then already now having made a series of videos where he has just happened to travel to pretty random car meets and "by chance" there have been Zenvos trucked in and the owners of those surprise Zenvo showings aren't mentioned or shown. Don't be gullible. Yes, it's speculation, but it's based on what is most probable and what makes most sense. I have lots of marketing experience (both academic research and in practice). I also have had a relationship with car manufacturer marketing departments, as my company and I have had a lot of sponsor cars for free from a manufacturer, and while dealing with that I've seen how they deal with a multitude of their other sponsorees and partners. So I know a bit of how these things work (not with Zenvo, a very different kind of huge car company, but nevertheless).
I don't know if I'd buy a Zenvo for $2,000,000 given the choice. I honestly believe there are better options out there for that kind of money, but I will say I like the design of the car minus the wing. I am sure the wing very functional and yada, yada, yada, but it's an eye sore. If it could be redesigned or removed to make the care more aesthetically pleasing then I'd be more inclined to want to spend $2,000,000 on it. Still, it's hard for me to justify that kind of money on it when you know cars like the P1, La Ferrari, and 918 replacement are on the way. The biggest thing the TSR-S has going for it though is the fact that it's all combustion driven as of right now haha. The same can't be said for many of the hypercars on the horizon.
@@uraniumcranium2613 That is true from an individual level, but from a market level there does need to be a consensus that the car looks good compared to peers...
Knowing Shmee, this car is a keeper, especially considering that he understands that Zenvo are following in the footsteps of Koenigsegg It takes someone as discerning as him to make such an investment into a company’s future with their own money and not just through words. The cynicism in this comment section is extremely off-putting. Why do you people care about Zenvos marketing strategy? @Ethan_e39 I fully understand why it's done why make a new part when one just as good exists ,just thought a 1.4 + million pound car could have changed the caps slightly for aero or even just for looks to be as crazy as the spoiler
Brilliant man, the benchmark in this automotive industry.
Awesome passion all around
... authentic guy! A sober, rational, sincere explanation for his decision.
His business interest behind that certainly very good deal is obvious, so not really a subject to talk about - and he's addressing that with his story about the Veyron.
Zenvo has been one of my favorites since the ST1
Tim's road to Zenvo series was always a must watch for me.
Tim is a legend. I love watching the processes with some of the cars he’s bought over the years. Makes me laugh at myself looking at cars on the Facebook Market place 😂
I like this version of Tim. He can be a bit marmite to me. But he loves cars. I love cars. I appreciate that he shares his passion and knowledge with us. He’s earnt his success. I just need to get over the envy 😂
The shmuseum channel is a much more enjoyable side of shmee to me, seems less coporate
no way would I spend that kind of money on that car….. considering the other options in that price range
Might be cos i LOVE Zenvo's, but the TSR-S is one of the most aggressive looking cars in the world. The purple just looks insane
This the kind of guy every car company wants to work with who highlights all good things & pushes bad things under the carpet
This ended up being much more interesting then I expected.
Zenvo has a beautiful front
Pagani has no front, just a bonnet lid
Shmee has always shared the rarest sports cars with the world. He talks calmly and buys what he wants, no ego or bragging. Being cool is his flex, not the cars
It’s awesome he does it for the “experience” more than the popular car
Shmee is great, you can tell this one is really special to him.
Pictures and videos don't do the Zenvo justice, it was gorgeous in the direct sunlight in Copenhagen!
great to see Zenvo keep it rolling after the crazy appearances on Top Gear back in the day. great looking cars
Profound explanation. I love all the carbon fiber they put into the Zenvo.
I really hope he takes the zenvo to the ring
i love that he didnt come on and talk about the car itself, the numbers, power, tilty wing, yatta yatte. instead he gushed about the PEOPLE behind the car and how great THEY were to work with. good stuff 👍
Probably because he got paid or a huge discount to say those things. The car doesn't stack up statically against its counterparts. The only thing it can brag about is the people and people are not really be able to be subjectively argued about
Watch things and people you like. Life’s more fun that way.
@@jthomp997 you're just a sad hater
@@jthomp997 Those counterparts cost x2 or even more than the Zenvo. You can't get a brand new hypercar under $2M these days. and also, cars are subjective, you might only focus on the HP and torque figures. but other ppl look beyond that. at the end of the day, zenvo is a great car in itself, stop the hate.
Shmee is such an eloquent speaker
One plus that if Shmee has to sent it back to the factory, the trip form the UK to Denmark is short
Thanks for the advertisement for Zenvo Shmee. A company of which I am sure you are an investor. Chiron all the way! Not even close.
Shmee is the absolute BOSS 💯 🔥 👌
That Camaro steering wheel 😂
I knew I had seen it before
@@slaynan the thing is, recycling parts isn’t a bad thing, but you definitely shouldn’t use a part like that in a key contact or viewing point. The steering wheel is your most basic connection to a vehicle so it better be nice.
The way he's explaining....seems less of an explanation rather a promotion...so it also seems like...it's a sponsor....not a purchase...bcoz something that is not yet known to be worth the money u have to pay...u cannot be sitting so confidently speaking about it...rest of the well established car brands dnt need this kind of promotions...so not a purchase...but a sponsor to boost up sales from upcoming projects...it's business nothing else😂
Tim rules and I dig the spec
Hard to get my head around a $2m USD car with a turbo LS.
Zenvo do not have a ls engine.. So thats not right
@@pistonburner6448 12 million does not sound small when there already is a base car you're working off of.
@@20nobody20 Yes, they do have LS crate engines which are then modified.
no dual clutch or carbon tub at that price, hmm🤔
13 1/2 min commercial.
mate i LOVE that purple mate and the car looks amazing
I think it's great Tim getting the zenvo! The youtube is saturated with all the other well known brands so it great to see the new kid on the block 😊
Knowing what is comming from Zenvo, I understand his choice 😀
Id love to see a cc850 on shmees channel. That car is built to be driven. So awesome to see him get a zenvo. I remember seeing a video of it on track years ago and thought it was so cool, amd now 1 of my favorite youtubers has 1 and drives it
I can't possible see that Zenvo hold its value is Shmee was crazy enough to buy its 2 million, I mean nothing on it is worth that much, nor is the companies brand image.
This choice was not understandable.
Pagani doesn't need him. They're on another level.
Pagani - Fastest supercar, slowest hypercar.
The Zenvo gets way too much hate, I personally love it and think its unique. Glad to see some content with it
Too bad Shmee just sits there giggling going 35 mph
for me also, the Koenigsegg Gemera V8. 2300hp and 2750nm torque in a 4 seater GT cruiser. its my perfect car.
It's pretty cool looking. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the wing. Don't get me wrong I love active areo wings just that thing dances like it's doing gymnastics. A bit to much for me personally but that thing is really damn cool non the less
The GT version has a different wing.
That's the best part in my eyes
The jealousy that some people have...lol
Shows why they'd never be rich
@@karunnagraj8249 lots of ego and pride
I swear man, so much hatred.
It seems they never create, only destroy. They find joy in the misery of others. I wonder? How many people even in this thread can honestly say, when I become an adult, my goal is to be poor?
On Twitter UA-cam comments Instagram everywhere
Everyone's always hating
Especially if you're making a lot of money
I genuinely think a lot of his haters just don't understand him
For example Manny Khoshbin or The Stradman don't get a lot of hate compared to shmee despite both having more money than him
It's because they are more open and tell their story from the ground up so it's more relatable and understandable
Shmee doesn't owe us his story but I also remember thinking he was the son of a rich Dad and found him annoying because of that about a year ago
Then he did interviews talking about how he made money himself and just was more transparent
And now I'm defending him in the comments section like his brother lol
He wants to separate his private life from online stuff
And that's fine
But it's so hard to hate on someone like the Stradman who shows you his gf, how he lost money on his house, how he lived outside his car when starting his channel, his whole house building process and so on
The trunk bouncing the way it does around the 3:30 mark doesn't speak too well about how polished of a car it might be.
Love hearing Shmee’s stories on here
This is a great commercial for Zenvo
Should have gotten the pagani. Always get the pagani.
@@pistonburner6448 how do you know that he is playing pretend? Are you friends with the guy?
@@pistonburner6448 you making this comment everywhere. I can feel the burning. If you don't have proof don't bring conspiracy theories. If you have proofs then show to all. This is the same type of comment i have seen when he brought Seena and Ford GT.
@@pistonburner6448 He definitely got some kind of deal to buy the car but pretending to own it is taking it too far. The maximum they could do is give him a massive discount.
Never even heard of Zenvo until this video.
The same can't be said for many of the hypercars on the horizon.
looks are subjective. Personally i think it looks better than any Pagani.
@@uraniumcranium2613 That is true from an individual level, but from a market level there does need to be a consensus that the car looks good compared to peers...
@@uraniumcranium2613 I like the zenvo Ts1 GT more then pagani and bugatti
Knowing Shmee, this car is a keeper, especially considering that he understands that Zenvo are following in the footsteps of Koenigsegg
It takes someone as discerning as him to make such an investment into a company’s future with their own money and not just through words. This may end up being his best purchase ever if the car does what Zondas did; and that’s dependent on how Zenvo moves forward, which sounds promising
@@JuanCEOs725 oh no I agree. I don’t quite like the look of the Zenvo. But the prospect of it on the future is amazing.
I would love to see Shmee and Nico Rosberg together with the Zenvo and Rimac
Yeah of all the cars why a zenvo ? Probably got a deal to good to say no to for promoting the brand and saying things like “they have a great future ahead “. Good for him
Because he got a discount for featuring it so heavily in his videos
I suspect that made it all work out. mid 6 figure seems about right.
Other brands get plenty of coverage, so they don't need to.
Pretty sure you or I would do the same. its a million dollar hypercar ffs. Not a Prius

Its a sick car, love it cuz my favorite color & its super limited. Not for me bcuz im too much of a Zonda fan if i ever was that insanely wealthy
The only new supercars I'd consider are the Porsche 918 and Bugatti Chiron, based mostly on how they look.👍
Shmee reminds me of a real estate agent
Smee is a committed car enthusiasts. Spends millions on his car collection, and yet, rents a small apartment in London as his primary living quarters! 💯

I'm sorry but the bug never out shined the mclaren F1. Short of it being faster the F1 is better in every way (in my .02). And now the value of the F1 vs the veyron or any Bugatti damn near really shows. A milestone in its own way that paved the way to today, just never had the love for the bug like I do the F1
an f1 is 25 million dollars
@Ethan Calder not quite, cheapest one you could get is about 15 million roughly. The LM is worth probably 50 million or so and is on its way to the next 100 million plus car.
@@OxygenGenetics The f1 is getting so overrated now just like the bugatti chiron ,nissan skyline gtr r34 and the toyota supra all of these cars are overatted just my opinion have a good day
3:30 Funny I had a neighbor that had Lamborghini's and Ferrari's and had the same problem. He couldn't take the car and just go grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant because of the attention and issues that might arise. So he got a C8R just to knock around it where they could go shopping and out to eat and not worry about it. While not hyper cars, its about the same basic issue. 👍🤠 I on the other hand will park my F350 anywhere, so I can't relate! 😲
Is UA-cam paying him enough for him to be able to buy several supercars a year? If so, then good for him!
He has plenty of other business's, he used to be a financial advisor so I'm sure he knows how to invest
I really don’t get the Zenvo appeal. Its playing catch-up with the big brands. I find the Rimac far more interesting and appealing. And it is super fast.
Great interview.👍👍👍👍
He wouldn’t drink water on film without getting paid. He got taken care of for this. Things like this make me dislike online figures. Everything they do and wear damn near is marketing. It’s the most non organic thing ever.
The cynicism in this comment section is extremely off-putting. Why do you people care about Zenvos marketing strategy? Why do you speculate on someone (that clearly none of you know personelly) else's finances? The car is glorious. They make 5 cars a year, and people think they just loan one out for marketing? I don't love the look of a Zenvo, but you have a better chance of seeing an Apollo than a Zenvo on the street, and that exclusivity carries its own cache. And it's own coolness. As for you Schmee haters, there are lots of people in this world who deserve the hate more than Schmee, so go hate on them, and keep your spurious allegations to yourselves
The Zenvo is an investment. The TSR-S is only 5 in the world, if Zenvo grows big like pagani and koenigsegg like Shmee thinks it’s will, Shmee has the the ultimate rarest version of their first car, it will become extremely valuable. Like the Zonda Cinque. And this is besides now having great relations with the company like he discusses
It’s only considered valuable if people actually know what it is
@@not_tanga investment. Buy it for a price and it’ll be worth more later down the line. It’s a 1 of 5 first ultimate car from them, right now that doesn’t mean much but Tim believes with the people from all these other hypercar companies that zenvo will get as big as pagani and koenigsegg. If they do then this car becomes real valuable
