The connections and details that Tim has on cars and car owners is next level. I don't think there is a super or hyper car he couldn't give you the full rundown on, and probably drove it.
An interesting thing regarding Special One and the Trevita series is that this car is chassis #073, while the two existing Trevita are chassis #071 and #075. #071 has a plaque that says Trevita #1/3, and #075 has a plaque that says Trevita #3/3. The Koenigsegg Registry has long suspected that Special One is the lost Trevita, much because of this and the fact that except for the color itself it has all of the exterior pieces that the Trevita has.
@@ThumbsUP-ThumbsDOWN Well, that is the official story at least, but that raises the question, why would they have #075 have a plaque that says 3/3, wouldn't it make more sense to only make 1/3 and 2/3 and not 1/3 and 3/3? A personal guess of mine is that the Al Thani family paid enough money for Special One that KAAB simply couldn't refuse, but #073, meant to be a Trevita, was the only car not actually sold yet.
I almost bought a '64 4-door AMC Rambler as my first car, I wound up with a hand-me-down '94 Jeep xj. I still regret to this day not getting that Rambler. Such a clean and simple classic and in todays market I could have probably turned a profit

Every car guy gets that virtual gut punch thinking about those that got away. Nothing like Shmee's scale, my own was a 70 1/2 Z28 RS on a dealers back lot, all there, some crappy 70's mods and Cragar's. It was a bit rough and barely ran. It was 89, and I rode my bike (pedal type, was in high school) to the bank for the $500 they would sell it to me for. Had saved up to buy a car, this would let me get the car and some investment to get it right. Got back and it was gone, someone offered them more while I was in route. 30 minutes cost me an awesome car. Found a similar condition SS 454 Monte Carlo for a grand later, so I guess it worked out. Still, will always miss the Camaro that got away.
The story I've always heard is that the process to make that special white diamond flaked carbon was so hard and time consuming that they decided to stop after the second one. Always been curious whether they'd make another one if a customer wanted that carbon type on their car.

The fun part it’s that we had 2 in Mexico, the 1st one got total close to Monterey city and this blue one got hit by a taxi driver almost got total but it got rebuilt.
Trevita car number 2 is here in Scottsdale. Fun fact it is actually marked car number 3 on the number plate, but like Shmee said it is car number 2 and they never made a number 3. Mclaren of Scottsdale was rebuilding the transmission on it and reached out to Koenigsegg to see if they could get the right number plate, but even that went missing. So for all you vinwiki car mystery buffs, if you ever find a Koenigsegg Trefita plaque that says 2 of 3 on it, know its the missing one for the car here in Scottsdale.
Actually its car nr 2 thats "missing" so the plates are right. Most probable is what Tim said i the video that this blue car is (or rather would have been) nr 2.
He is right, everyone does have a story of a car that could have bought. In 2019 or 2020(I dont remember) I almost bought a auto acura nsx but decided against it because I wanted a manual one, they go for about 3-4x what I would have paid for that car. But it was a higher mileage car but still would probably be worth at least double what I was going to pay
