Everyone, well almost everyone bashing the V6. Well don't knock it till ya drive it. Especially with different intake, intercooler, and tune!! Will SMOKE a set of 37" tires!!

Thats what you get with a v6. The old one had that mighty 6.2 lt v8 with a supercharger for the Velociraptor version.
@@al151 ik it sucks.... i understand the concept behind the Ecoboost it makes some sense in a daily driver for a truck but ford shouldn't put them in their performance vehicles i would of loved to see ford build around that 6.2 in the raptor such a beast of an engine because at the end of the day there is "no replacement for displacement" but at least lucky for us v8 lovers hennessy did drop the 5.0 in one so at least we have that going for us ....
@@LocoKilaProductions nothing sounds as good as a V8 but bigger isn't better, it's not the 1960's.
Personally, I think Ford should have offered both V6 and V8 engines in the Raptor. Adding the supercharged coyote engine would have been an excellent option.
@@cleetismcdougall5425 if bigger displacement isn't better than please explain why everyone that are making high hp drag cars are still using small or big block v8s and top fuel and funny cars are still using big block v8s only im sure if a v6 could make more power than they would be using them seeing the amount of money they have at their disposal so unless there is a reasonable and educated reason behind why the choice when it comes to making reliable power is a v6 instead of a v8 then maybe you have a valid point but I don't see any validity in your statement based on my observations of what is typically used to create big hp numbers reliably just saying please elaborate

On my 2011 Raptor, Whenever I drive from Tulsa to OKC or Dallas, I always have to deal with this shitty limited of 100 mph. I wish it could at least get to 120.
It's a truck. That mf will fall apart like a burger in a wind tunnel if you try cruise at 120
I was expecting more from Hennessey, guess it doesn't take much to empress a truck person.
Sounds kinda like a modded straight pipe diesel....that's being charitable. It also sounds like an old 4cyl ranger I ripped the exhaust off mudding in a cow pasture. I thought it sounded cool as a teenager but today I think my brain was being altered by the exhaust fumes leaking in the cab.

Needs a Supercharged 5.0 or the new 7.3 V8 to make appropriate NOISE. That V6 is amazing, but it needs 2 more cylinders IMHO.

Because times have changed you don't need v8 anymore. That's old and out dated. You can have v6 walk v8 now days. Old v8 gas hogging junk is outdated.

It's a Ford. They named it that for the Ranger because it's smaller.
Actually I'm not sure. Hennessy might have named it the 600. Good question though. Now I'm wondering. Google, here I come.

If your going to spend Henessey type money......the V8 conversion.....if you're staying with the 6 get a regularly Raptor and save some money.....no matter which version you choose.....STILL AWESOME.....
