Phaeochromocytomas are mostly benign tumours of either the parasympathetic or sympathetic nervous system, which produce catecholamines like adrenaline. They are known for causing the triad of sweating, headache and palpitations. Although rare, they have serious complications such as a hypertensive crisis and myocardial infarction.
