Nice carvings , great event! Is really nice to see talented people doing what they really love. I am a wood carver and i would love to be there. Greetings from Colombia!
I want to thank you again for the 2 passes you provided for my wife and I to attend!! We had a great time over by you!! Want to also thank Back40 Senior and Grandma Wood hound for some amazing conversation....great family....even talked with The Amazing Amanda and Lil Bossman!! Amazing talent I could never judge anything like that hahahaha everyone would be the winner!! Hopefully you got my text last night!! Stay safe my friend
The bear with the fish is my favorite. It looks so realistic. I always like watching them carve them. I was watching them down at the Paul Bunyan show last year
How interesting! Some very creative ideas there. I think the one that most caught my eye was the bear in the river catching the salmon as they swim upstream. Very creative way he illustrated the water.
Hahaha...yeah I was talking with one of the guys and told him when asked if I carve..I said I carve logs into 16" blocks. That's the range of my talent...lol
What an absolutely amazing talent these guys have. Holy cow. Do any of the carvers watch your channel? I really liked the alligator. Kind of like the ouroboros.
Amazing indeed...was crazy to see the detail they had in their work. Only got a chance to briefly chat with a couple of them, they don't take breaks...lol...the alligator carver was from Australia.
THANX ( D ) KILLER EXPO... I MET SOMEONE HERE IN FLAGSTAFF THAT MADE CARVINGS BUT THAT WAS SOME TIME AGO. AND THERE ARE ONE IF NOT TWO WHO DO CARVINGS ABOUT 30 KLICKS AWAY FROM THE CABIN... IT'S REAL INTERESTING TO SEE THEM WORK. I LIKE THE HUMMINGBIRD, I THINK THAT ONE SHOWS OUTSTANDIN' TECHNIC... SO WHO WON??? DO YOU KNOW? STAY COOL BROTHER... PEACE...
My dad also had the hummingbird as his favorite. I went back the next day to see the finished work when all was done....I'll have clips in next video...they turned out awesome...wow!
WW in PA must be thinking, “you see, Stihl saws are only intended for show off purposes not for the real work” 😄. It’s not my style, I don’t find it beautiful TBH, but man what a craftsmanship speaks from those pieces of art and all their details! Great respect for the creative minds who can start from a piece of wood and come up with this, so in that respect I like it very much. Regards from across the Pond.
Hahahaha...yeah was fun talking to that guy with the Husky shirt on, it says something when you wear a brand's shirt, but even more when you tattoo a brand on your leg. And no....I'm not scheduling any appointments at the local tattoo parlor....lol
The auction was the next day....I went back to see the finished works but didn't stay for the auction. I'm going to try to find out what the winning bids were.
Wow. Just wow.. thanks again for letting us all tag along..
Yes indeed, it was awesome seeing what they could do with their saws and how detailed they could make things look.

Lol. You missed your own video. There was Husqvarna’s and I though an Echo as well. Husqvarna forever baby!
What kind of wood do they use for carving?
I believe all the logs they used were pine...White Pine
