Here’s a little idea for consideration. Let Sony and the other woke companies out there make their own games/movies/tv shows etc. where they can do as they please as long as they’re original and not based on a pre-existing franchise, and let the pre-existing franchises do as they please without ANY woke interference. NO uglyfication of characters, NO unnecessary inclusiveness or unneeded representations, NO censorship, NO restrictions on creating mods. Let the sales numbers speak for themselves and demonstrate that people are still mostly willing to pay for franchises that are currently being run into the ground by wokeness, if said wokeness is left out completely. And then watch as the sales for a completely woke product become nonexistent and watch as the wokies sit there scratching their heads trying in vain to figure out why.

I drop so many years ago when they first announced that they were enforcing their censorship policies in the same announcement as the PS5. And people kept dismissing it being told that it was something else or outright forgetting about it.
They defended Sony tooth and nail while their censorship policies focused more on anime based games and having the most ridiculous censorship choices of them.
I don't think we'll ever find out why stellar blade was such an exception, but my only guess is that it's not anime style. But either way nobody wanted to point out the hypocrisy till now. While it's something I am glad to see, my problem with this is it only took till now when things have gotten out of hand for anyone to start realizing anything.
And Sony is in a position where it's "too big to fail". They are still the gaming industry leader.
They have a Monopoly on anime distribution in the West.
And because of their standing as industry leader they have more sway on what goes into console games that goes to their platform.
And even if they weren't the industry leader, Microsoft visit anything different from Sony's mindset.
The only odd man is Nintendo who are just doing their own thing, and even their stance is questionable given the what they've done with their games.
And they knew to Target the game industry to push agenda because, might as well face facts, that most gamers don't really have patience or principles or even understanding of what's going on. We'll just spend money because we want the next product and just try to ignore everything else. They bank on that. That's why we're in this situation. And things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.

The console Wars ended with their Self infliction turning their games DEI/ESG Direction for game's Which gave Netendo the Victory in the War. Yet a New Console War has begun. And that's which company burns to bankruptcy and Shut Down Gone. Sony or Microsoft, which Company which Console will Burndown First Between the two first.
I honesty feel like we need another video game crash to reset how games are developed. The quality of games had become atrocious during the Atari days (and yes there were other factors, but at its core were bad games) and it seems like we are back in the same spot (companies not caring about the consumer). I have enough games to last me years at this point, so if a crash happened I wouldn't care at this point.
