I love how in the bus scene, he takes quite a beating as well as the bad guys. I love some realism in action movies.

This movie was such a surprise to me. So much better then I expected.
He starts out, out of practice and his timing isn't perfect. But every next fight he does better when it all comes back to him.

This movie gave me the action team up of Saul Goodman, Doc Brown and The RZA I never realized I'd so desperately needed.
And it proves you don't have to be a hulking monster of a man to be a good action star.

Yeah I love Hardcore Henry, still hoping beyond hope we get a sequel, as unlikely as it is. The movie was so much fun, story was kinda crap tbf but the action was good, and I like most of the cast. And of course the first person stuff (parkour, fighting etc.) is really well done.
@@LordLOC I heard somewhere that if Ilya's next movie (Nobody) did well then there may be a chance for a sequel for Hardcore Henry.. And it did great from what I saw so who knows, I won't give up hope until Ilya says it's not happening.
This movie was a lot better than I had anticipated. A worthy addition to the "John wick - genre" of badassery.

I hate John Wick, even Keanu could not save the movie lack of presence. Nobody doesn't even need a sequel to beat John Wick, and they are making like 6 movies out of it.

@@shania991 totally! like the whole point of the scene is to reveal during the jazz scene that he had full control of the situation. Which is the hint that he is not what he seems!

Notice that when Hutch began his assault on the Russians coming into the house, he let the first one walk past him, so he had just enough time to attack the second one while the first attacker's back was to him. Little things.
That’s something you should go over with your family. Not everyone in that situation knows the correct choice to make. And sometimes the correct choice will still end up with you dead. I don’t think the son is an idiot I think he wasn’t taught.

Absolutely love this movie!! Bob Odenkirk is a brilliant actor, he nailed this role 10/10. And off topic but at first I was surprised that they cast Russian actors and not someone trying to imitate the accent, but then I realised that director Ilya Naishuller (kudos to him!) is Russian himself and it all made sense, so the bad singing at 15:08 is also authentic😂 The song is called (Бухгалтер/Accountant) It hit me with nostalgia, I wish you could hear the entire song..It’s so hilariously out of place for this movie, but I heard it and immediately was transferred to my childhood, the whole vibe is 90s :,)
Favorite points in this movie:
1. Our Nobody being a unassuming badass.
2.Christopher Lloyd jamming the jammer with his fingers before taking out the two hitmen.
3. The Home Alone death traps in the entire metal shop.
31:39 Yes! Watching this movie for the first time, I kept thinking how realistic the fighting seemed, but then also at the same time thinking how outrageously unrealistically fantastical it all was. I agree, it's one of my favorite action movies of all time, and I don't say that lightly. Odenkirk killed it. Happy to see you guys reacting to it.
The director/co-producer of John Wick, David Leitch was the producer of Nobody. Absolutely loved this movie, great to see Bob in a role like this. I just completed Better Call Saul, which was amazing but such a different character. BTW best.....intro......EVER 🤣🤣🤣
Hutch is The Punisher and John Wick mixed together. You guys were mouth wide for a lot of the action. One of the top 5 funniest scenes of the year was the chair throw in the hospital. I was howling in the theater.
There's a post credit scene. Brief but worth popping back for. Great reaction as ever guys.
For the final fight, they basically said: "You know what? Let's take Home Alone and make it even more violent"
"Also, let's just give Doc Brown a shotgun and let him go nuts"

Yah, fun, funny, action filled. The way they slow played out the back story was so well done as well. The bus scene is legendary, also well as the chair throw.
The wife coming back around, "like old times", "Does it have a basement?"
My favorite part was definitely watching Doc Brown shooting down bad guys with a machine gun

Nobody was directed by the same man who made John Wick AND Deadpool. Hence the vibes.
It's sad that Bob Odenkirk's serious heart attack last year means he probably won't be able to make a sequel. Unless his character is a lot less active.
Him training for Nobody is the reason he recovered quick from that heart attack

I liked this movie for the same reasons you liked it. So unexpected and great back story. I would suggest you watch the behind the scenes stuff on the DVD. It shows how hard he trained and how they chose certain things. Hopefully there will be a sequel!
I saw the previews and didn't think much about this movie. Bob Odenkirk: action star? Hmm. But, since I loved John Wick and the first Equilazier, I figured why not? Plus loved Bob from many different things so, it was a watch and a holy hell was I way off. He was amazing. This movie was amazing. And now I can re=watch it and remember some of the best movie going moments I had with my lat mother. Bittersweet now, but so so good. 🍻🍻

This movie was the first movie I saw in theaters once the restrictions in my state was lifted loved it❤ When I saw the trailer I was so hyped to see it because I got John Wick vibes and I was so glad I was right🎥

This was a story inspired from an event in Bob odenkirk's life. He had a break in and trapped them in his basement.

Hey...did you guys miss the POST CREDIT SCENE??? As usual, people are turning off a movie as soon as the end credits start rolling (with the exception of Marvel movies). Big mistake.
The movie has "John WICK"-vibes because it was also written by DEREK KOLSTAD and produced by DAVID LEITCH - former stuntman, stunt-coordinator and co-director of "John Wick".
Odenkirk was also trained by the same stuntteam as Keanu Reeves. He was trained by trainer, actor and stuntcoordinator DANIEL BERNHARDT, who was also in "Nobody" and "John Wick"!
If you haven't seen it already, you guys REALLY need to react to "Payback" with Mel Gibson...add it to one of your Patreon polls or something lol...
I've pretty much hated just about every movie made this century. I can barely get through them. Especially the formulaic ex-CIA revenge trope.
But this one is awesome. Great combination of characters, humor, callbacks, and action.

Ok, so hear me out. What would you say if I had an anime film, that was free on UA-cam and produced by Daft Punk? The overly simplified description is that its an hour long music video for their Discovery album. In reality, it is a full anime film with a complete and interesting story using no dialogue and minimal sound effects. I cannot recommend it highly enough. And if that is cool to you, I have a library of profession grade UA-cam films that would make for great content.
i describe this movie as netflix john wick when i recommend it to people. Not as high budget and a bit laws of physics break-y but damn good still.
Oh man. When I saw this the first time my jaw was open the entire time in shock. Holy F. Dude is brutal. He and John Wick destroy the entire planet together.
This was one of "those movies" that I watched because I couldn't find anything else to watch. I had no preconceived ideas of the plot, but I was very pleasantly surprised. So unexpected, and so good!

Hutch's tattoo says it all. 7 Deuce off-suit is the worse hand you can get in Poker. So if he has the tattooed on him and he shows up at your door he is the worst thing that is going to happen to you
Probably my favorite shot in the film is after flipping the car, he sits up and makes this intense silent snarl. It’s one of the first times in the movie you truly see him emoting, as if violence is the only time he feels himself

There were rumors of a continuation of this character like they did with John Wick. I forgot, but I think the same director or choreographer of John Wick did this...but I wouldn't be against a crossover some how between the two characters. Not even a true interaction, just let them walk by each other or just a simple nod that they know or have heard of each other, lol. *I knew it was something; from IMDB: Derek Kolstad (who wrote the two movies) says both films exist in the same universe.*

Love this movie. All violent movies should be done like this, especially the part where the main character gets his ass kicked, even when he's winning. It's the first thing you learn in self defense, expect to get hurt and accept that it will happen, or you will go into the situation intimidated and won't be able to control it. Movies where the main character comes out of everything without a scratch are of course meant to be a joke, but it promotes so much acting stupid for kids who don't know.
This movie actually superceded my expectations. Most movies are rewatches nowadays but I loved it and it did give me punisher vibes. Dope reaction as always keep it up
