Definition of irony: An anime convention on an American aircraft carrier that fought the Japanese in World War 2.

irony maybe, but I say poetry.
Could you imagine kingdoms of old after a war, having a kingdom that won choose to celebrate something of a lost kingdom? No. It really shows how far along we have come as humanity. America defeated Japan, but Japan evolved and created anime. Anime became a interest and now is celebrated in America through these conventions. We left the hate, violence, and war behind.
We choose to enjoy the things that can came from what use to be our enemies. Thats poetry.

@@yummychips_ Japan still doesnt apologize while americans keep apologizing about the bad things they did to the Japanese, idk what can be worst than human experiments the Japanese did back then but whatever.

@@setiem13 Because the Chicoms in Beijing are worse than even Imperial Japan. The Chicoms did absolutely nothing to fight against Japan and later Mao Zedong even thanked Hirohito for helping to kill so many non-communist Chinese that helped to establish the PRC eventually. The U.S. government has never apologized for nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki. You can find many Japanese citizens individually apologize for Japan's crimes just like American citizens individually apologize for America's crimes but the Japanese government does not apologize because the U.S. government never apologizes.

Thanks for making this. I went last year in their first con. I am no longer in the area, and really wished I could have gone. Hope you make this again next year, I will drop a sub for now incase you do.

I wonder if anyone saw a ghost on the USS Hornet? Because the USS Hornet is the most Haunted ship in Alameda, CA and The Bay Area.
