  • Owning a Sailboat means WORK. The Trampolines on Trade Runner were getting a bit dangerous but it was a job Id been putting off as it was not going to be easy. We found ourselves in a great spot to finally do it thoughts there was an Aluminium welder nearby and this was a vital part of the puzzle.
I hope you enjoy this DIY episode.

That looked like a serious pain in the arse. Bet you sweated a bucket getting the tramp off in the heat.

I'm a welder it can be hard to weld corroded ally especially with MIG they should have used TIG with high silica filler rod's.

Your also going to have to buff and polish your hull's to make it look good. I bet that you have a lot of work to do before it's ship shape.

haha, buffing and polishing comes way down the list for me, basically just before I want to sell a boat.

@@SailingLearningByDoingAre you planning on selling it anytime soon? You did say that you wanted a Cyber 48. Is that the plan still and do you expect that to be your next boat in let's say two years possibly?

Yeah will need to be thinking about that in a few months. Gonna be hard to baby-proof this boat.

We know that job and getting those bolt ropes in is a pain. Good quality tramp material though.
