I looovvveeeeee that gel so much 😩 I wasn't expecting it to be great because it was lightweight but as soon as I used it I knew it would be great. I'm happy it worked out in the end your curls looked so good 😍
Loveeeee your honest reviews on products i know for sure that i can go to you for a completely honest review 💕 - love your country cousin from tha south ❤️
When I first tried this gel I hated it, but I've recently been pairing it with the Garnier curl nourish buttercream and I get THE best wash n gos with it. That combination is amazing for my hair. Also, I suggest trying out the Renpure curling jelly. It has tons of slip and gives great shine while also providing a firm hold!
I put my jar of curling gel souffle in the fridge and it sets like a really nice pudding instead of the runny/sticky mess from being room temp....and nice turn out on the wash and go! :)
Glad you liked it in the end. I also like the volume, and hold it gives. I'm always fighting to get at least some volume. Most of the time I don't get it before I need to cleanse and restyle. lol
I just used this yesterday for the first time. My hair is 3C- 4A and I need definition and hold if I want my wash n go to last. My reaction to it was literally the same as yours at first. It has a unique texture and once applied to your hair, it almost absorbs into the hair so I felt it wouldn’t provide hydration, definition and a hold. I diffused as you did and I LOVE IT. It def surprises you. I’ve been using Mielle organics White Peony leave in for years and I used that underneath this wash n go with just a tad of Camille rose lavender crush line leave in. I love Mielle’s white peony leave in because it’s light and moisturizing so I don’t feel like it will interfere with any styling product I decide to use. Try The White Peony leave in with this gel next time.
This gel surprised me as well. Since it was so light I thought it would not hold well(I use it for twist outs). So I was heavy handed and it actually had a cast to it. But now using it, I use a little less and my hair turns out great. I don't use any other mielle organics products with it but I do use an oil to unravel my twist and my hair is soft
Yes give it another try please. I have a similar texture and I paired it with the leave in & hair milk ! I got wonderful results which are on my channel ! A lot of People say the Shea moisture leave in detanagker is very sticky so maybe that's why you experienced the sticky feeling ! But your result was still wonderful loved it !
Great video! Looooove your videos! Try the Alikay Creme Brulee with the Lemongrass leave in. I was using the Camille Rose Curl maker and I tried the Alikay Creme Brulee and had ALOT of volume...on day 1!!!! I'd love for you to do a review on that. Only thing is I get the leave in from Target but I have to order the creme brulee online I never see it in the store. I just ordered another jar!
Hi cousin. I have been using other products in the line such as the mielle oil and the moisture milk so I decided to try the gel. Please update me, does the sticky feel go away? Is there any crunchiness to the curls? Your definition looks great. Also I'm not crazy abt that strong ginger smell, how was it for you? I know I ask a lot of questions but I truly trust your feedback, we cuzzinzzz after all lol.
I have been trying this product with some of my hair products and I find that when I use the LCO method, and use this product as my "L" for liquid/leave-in, results come out better. I used the True By Made Beautiful Hair Butter on top for my cream and my curls came out so much more shiny and soft than with a lighter cream. My hair is low to medium porosity and I can only use this hair butter when I use that gel. Otherwise I get too much build up if I use a lot of the hair butter. Try this method and see how you like it. Also, I learned that for diffusing it is really bad to let the blow dryer blow straight up into your cuticle; therefore I recommend focusing the nozzle at the roots of the hair. My hair is shinier and softer when I air dry vs. diffusing. I use sunflower seed oil and grapeseed oil to seal on different occasions and my hair enjoyed them both with the gel.
I used it with the same leave in you did, I heard when some used it with the leave in or avocado milk from the Mielle line it didn't work as well but maybe you'll like it. It's now my go to gel besides kinky curly custard.
I just used this recently and this is the first wash and go when my hair looks dull. Even my first wash and go was a success in October. That's when I ended my transitioning to natural. I used the shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie and I thought maybe it was that but I used this under eco styler and it was fine. I also applied olive on top and it barely made a difference and we all know olive oil is a greasy oil. But I'm still sporting this dull ass wash and go and will refresh with camille rose curl maker and hopefully that mixes well.
I'm in the market for a natural hair gel bc I'm big on natural non-chemical ingredients. I want to try this and the soultanicals curl blaze. Thank you for a quick and honest review. I'll give this a shot as soon as it goes on sale or I get a coupon lol
No girl don't be scared! Try it with either the double butter cream or leave which is similar in texture to the shea moisture low porosity leave in that you use.
Have you ever tried Wetline Xtreme? I have great luck with it giving me great hold with not a lot of crunch. It also gives great shine and mixes with other items nicely. It is also protein free.
I hated this gel! It had no slip and i even used the milk w/ it! I also found it to be pretty dry after the 1st day. I prefer kinky curly gel, as i am coil defining gel and camille rose curl maker...
wow. that was the first thing I actually DID like about this gel with first impressions. The slip was amazing for me! lol But I definitely like the CRN Curl Maker as well. But that one is $22 and this one is $12 lol I get the same results from both.
Adorable curls! Never tried it. Been making my own hair products for a few years now. They're called Rusty's Curly-Q. We just launched on Amazon. Check us out. Love to get your opinion!
Angela Denmark I'll check them out! I love supporting businesses that are just breaking in, as well as women owners , and to top it off black owned! Love it 😍 shine on love ❤️
I looovvveeeeee that gel so much 😩 I wasn't expecting it to be great because it was lightweight but as soon as I used it I knew it would be great. I'm happy it worked out in the end your curls looked so good 😍
Kharissa Rae what did you use as a leave in?
i used the mielle leave in
I love this gel on my 3c/4a low po hair. I even have a backup if that shows you how much I like it.
Loveeeee your honest reviews on products i know for sure that i can go to you for a completely honest review 💕 - love your country cousin from tha south ❤️

Ash An I have to try that tfs!
I USED THIS GEL ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE LINE AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
I hear you. A lot of people dont like this and the camille rose gel but it worked great for you

I'm excited about you branching out and using new products. I'm obsessed with jelly type gels right now, but my hair type is very different ;)
this damn gel dried my hair out!! i hated it and sold it!!! I recommend the new camielle rose lavender line!!! i love itttt

I felt the same way when I first tried a wash n go. But day 3 I was in L.O.V.E. Your hair came out super defined.

I love it ❤ looks so full and beautiful. Glad to hear your honest opinion....as always.
I used it with the same leave in you did, I heard when some used it with the leave in or avocado milk from the Mielle line it didn't work as well but maybe you'll like it. It's now my go to gel besides kinky curly custard.
Your hair came out fab!

I stayed within the line when using this product. I paired it with their spray leave in spray, Mint Almond Oil, and their Avocado Hair Milk.
I've been wanting to try their Mint Almond Oil! I'm going to do the whole line probably next week.
Love this gel, have you tried it with the Shea moisture curl n style milk?
I can hear it 👌
It dried really nice 💜

This gel works really well with any of the SheaMoisture detanglers.
I actually used the Low Porosity Detangler as my leave-in and I think that's what has my hair dry 😕
Thanks!
Have you tried As I Am curling jelly? If not, I highly recommend!
I haven't tried it, I've been scared! lol I'll try that next once I run out of this one!
Hair Mary haha I was too because of the texture (it's super runny), but it was so moisturizing and actually held my curls!
No girl don't be scared! Try it with either the double butter cream or leave which is similar in texture to the shea moisture low porosity leave in that you use.

Yes, I like it for a heavy gel and as a replacement for eco styler but it's too heavy for this look I was trying to get with wash and gos lately.
Mine was an epic fail! It was my first attempt. And it just didn’t do well after drying and waking up the next am!
Your hair looks very pretty!
I'm hearing you girl 💛
Girl! Looks Awesome!!
I hated this gel! It had no slip and i even used the milk w/ it! I also found it to be pretty dry after the 1st day. I prefer kinky curly gel, as i am coil defining gel and camille rose curl maker...

Same for me when I first used the gel, I really like the gel too
I found my cousin lol . Heyyy cousin love the review.
I just got the gel from Sally’s for only $4.99🙌🏾🙌🏾
Just wondering could you tell me if it has a strong smell and what does it smell like?
Try that designs essential cream gel.
Yes, I can hear it.
I hate sticky products I feel like your neck becomes sticky 😩😩 but besides that your hair looks super bouncy!!! 🤗🤗
Yay...I can hear you! :)
I do not like that gel, it made my hair so dry. I tried it twice with the line and with other products but I did not like it.
Looks great!!
the leave in is awesome too!!! great turnout tho!!!
I haven’t tried the gel yet but it looks like I have that same hair dryer
Great videos💕🙌🏾

Taliah Waajid Curly Curl Cream...it be the truth! I used it the other day and the cream was all I needed, no Eco styler gel at all.

Look at your hair growing like weeds in the summer time! (Fast)
Would you try it with a leave-in?
I used a leave-in, in this video. It's in the description box. But I will eventually try it with the actual Mielle Organics leave-in.
😍👍🏾
