Pleasure doing Coils with you Jay! Sidenote, that run with you makes it mine and Blues Third time doing Coils Synced within the past 6 months. everybody else had it as their second run
Also, we didn't REALLY practice for Bahamut. We did 1 Unsynced (ie. everybody is no longer stuck at lvl 50) run right before streams in which we refreshed what happens in Phase 4. Its just the two different Raid Teams we took through Bahamut both spent a lot of time there and had the pattern in our muscle memory. Even now as the resident shot-caller i still think about Megaflare, Earthshakers, Flatten, Rage of Bahamut (add would spawn over at the "2" marker for us), Gigaflare (please addle) and the Divebombs

On Nael; according to first lorebook, he was a guy but his sister took his place and pretended to be him. I've played for years since HW, but I've honestly forgotten if it's ever explained in the actual game other than maybe couple of vague sentences
It is not explained in game iirc, maybe in the Japanese version, since the disparity between the 2 versions is what caused the correction to be ultimately made in Encyclopedia Eorzea.
So, there was a writing disparity regarding nael between the japanese and English versions, which was addressed in the Encyclopedia Eorzea.
Basically, Nael WAS a man, however, he got killed by his sister, Eula darnus, whom took over his identity. It is a rare instance of ad-hoc 3rd party lore but it is canon.
I've been looking forward to this! I was carried through Coils by higher level players but I would love to do them synced one day.

I'm really happy to hear Coils synced went as well as it did! If you appreciated the coordination of T9, then you'll definitely have fun if you ever decide to do later game raiding. I don't have fun with HARD fights in this game, but i adore coordinating fights as the main tank, so I'm glad to see some of that get reflected in this journal. Excited for the final 14 journal and the start of Generations!
