Agreed, even down to the note about hypocrisy. We are often depricating each other. Its beautiful for me to see an example of alters co-existing so peacefully, its almost like seeing a therapist model coping mechanisms. Its nice.
what got us is the acceptance that seemed to come in a short period of time (though obvs we only see what we see and things might've taken a while behind the scenes). what, you mean you didn't spend two years half accepting being a system only to fall back into denial then realize you're a system again and continually deny large aspects of the system and its existence and prevent people from fronting for years since then? you mean you can just like, get to know each other in a few months? *shocked pikachu face*
A breaf comment: _I hadn't heard of symptom holders._ Thank you, that word really helps with conceptualising the varying of symptoms and their intensity between different alters.
Funny about how your feelings about words get touchy, because we've had those trains of thought too and then some headmates get uppity. The alters aren't my belongings but neither are my family or friends! As a matter of fact, my headmates *are* friends and family! And we certainly are *all* characters in our own way. I love calling myself a character or a critter and some others get to feeling weird about me (as the host) doing that because "character" a word that people can latch onto to invalidate us but ya know lol I see myself as so fictional somehow, like we create our own lives the way that we can create our own stories and art. we write the story of our lives using our own hopes and dreams! so we're all characters (((:
as someone who doesnt know a whole lot about systems this was super insightful, really good method of putting a topic like this on display in a way i learned quite a lot of things :D i think i recognized dollys art style from some art on your twitter.. also all of you are very talented i liked bennys art of buggy especially

You guy's drawings are so cool! They are all really unique and stunning and kind of makes us want to try something similar also! Hope you guys are doing well btw :L
(hoping a second comment does extra for engagement haha) we always have such artistic block if we're co-con while drawing (as that's how a majority of our alters manifest--co-fronting with the host). The host can sometimes have a bit of an unpleasant mindset during the process because her outlook is that the headmates' presence is "contaminating" her skill and ability to get idea onto page. While there arent different styles the way there are with your system, there's certainly a different skill level and way of using tools that can interfere with the "quality" that can be achieved when the host is alone lol some will lack the technical knowledge on perspective or anatomy or have too heavy a hand or what-have-you and it never even truly results in something unique and interesting-- only different and frustrating xD
I really enjoyed this video and getting to see the unique and interesting ways your different alters portrayed themselves. Turns out this video was a bit old and it doesn’t look like you went the did content route, contentious choice I know, but I’d really enjoy seeing more did content if that feels safe to you. Thanks for sharing, and be well.

We have an alter named Dolly in our system too! Our Dolly is a gatekeeper and a porcelain doll
