    March 26th, 2017 -- For my 27th outing of 2017, I decided to "get a feel" for the migration patterns on the Schuylkill River. My primary goal of the day was to check if the White Perch (Morone americana) was already swimming up the River, since all the other Species come right after. :)
    Overall, a product day outdoors!

    here in the summer we have a huge migration of the American shad up the Annapolis river here in nova Scotia, last year large numbers became trapped in pools as the river was low in places. its an odd thing being able to stand in a river in a swirling mass of 1-2 foot fish

    The Gizzard Shad do bite hooks.. They hit my sabiki rig. I find that jigging a sabiki is also very good for white perch.

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  7 років тому +1

      Interesting. Although they are filter feeders, I guess they could potentially nibble on a small sabiki rig. I have never tried, so I can't really deny your comment, Christopher Ray. Thanks for sharing! Tight lines and thanks for watching!

    10:15 That's what I've always hate about mixed Bass and Bluegill ponds, your trying to catch a nice Bass on a weedless set up and a first or second year bluegill comes along and just gums the end of your worm until it's an unuseable mess.

    another question Leo how particular are you with your tackle? do you mind using pre tied knots, hooks, and ready to use rigs? or are you into tying every knot yourself and doing everything yourself? myself i do every little thing, i replace line on every rod i get, do my own rigs knots hook ties.

    • @extremephillyfishing
