Everyone has a _FAVORITE LURE_ for a _FAVORITE SPECIES!_ What is yours?! On a side note, play the hidden game: take one shot every time EPF says _"beautiful"_ in this video. Hahaha.
So far this season i have been having lots of luck fishing for rainbow trout with a Kastmaster spoon silver/blue, and a Little Cleo spoon Gold/Red. My Favorite species to fish for though are Chinook Salmon and Coho Salmon with 3/8 or 1/2 oz Marabou Jigs.
Used that spinner this past fall and man it slayed stocked trout but I had the same issue you did with them swallowing it! So I had to be precise on setting the hook. But every cast I got a bite! Great video 👍
Yo Mr. Leo Shaaaaang!...did you ever think about maybe wearing some hip waders??? It's so weird watching you enter in...in your fresh gear! Love you bro!
My favorite lure was a small soft plastic crawfish imitation that I can't find anymore. I would fish them using a small jig head. I caught my PB LMB on one as well as many trout and other species as well
They actually just did the last stocking of our Trout season here in Albuquerque. 5000 Trout in Tingley Beach. In a few weeks the water here will be too warm and any left will all die off.
You sure do have an "Original Intro ". My favorite in line spinners are " Mepps " Aglia (Dressed ) Aglia Long ( Dressed & Plain ), Sizes , 0 & 1 . Tom Daytona Beach , FL. PS I do fish up north .
Last year, after watching your video, I purchased some of Thomas spinners in the nickel/gold. I had good success with them including my biggest trout of the year which was a 20 inch Brown. In the last couple years I've tried to switch to fishing primarily with spinners and lures for my trout. Historically I've mostly fished with nightcrawlers, powerbait and waxworms. Those all work well but too many times the trout swallow the hooks and I end up cutting the line. Since I release all of my trout I don't want to have to worry about that. I click the like button on all of your videos but never comment. I just wanted to say that I enjoy watching them all.
What portion of the Delaware canal did you fish in this video? I used to fish the canal from Levittown to New Hope when I was a boy growing up in the 60's.
EPF I really enjoy your videos. I have a question about the Thomas spinners. You often say your favorite is the E.P. spin, which is the one that has a willow blade, but in your videos it looks like your using the Thomas Special Spin which is the one with the Indiana blade. You also mention that the lure is the 1/6 oz. size. The E.P. comes in a 1/5 oz. and only the Special Spin model is offered in 1/6th size. So are you using the E.P> or the Special Spin (It's written on the back of the package) Thank you for all your tips.
Leo, get yourself a pair of forceps it really helps with unhooking fish especially those hooked in the back of the mouth. Makes it easier for you and the fish. Also make sure to eat some cherries they'll help keep the gout away.
the state of PA needs to stock some way better quality fish for as much as license are. Here in south central PA the big fish are put in by private fishing and hunting clubs. If you have these clubs in your area be sure to support them if you want nice fish.
Just an idea for you Leo, I use the same lure however if I am not keeping the trout I made one barbless and if I getting dinner I use the barbs. I have found out that I really do not loose any more with barbless hooks
My favorite are my dads spinners. They wobble, and the hooks swirl, plus the blade grinds the body. My favorite of the bigger conpanies is bluefox super vibrax
I opened and New (but purchased years ago) some inline spinners and on 1/2 the blade just does not spin. It's not stuck or bent - strange! Any advice. Just bought a Thomas but I have 5 just waiting to be used.
Norwood Robins honestly I just have no luck with rooster tails. Feel like they never spin right. Memos and panther Martin over roosters for sure. Just an opinion, but definitely how I feel
Wish i could fish at opening season for trout in Minnesota but we r supposed to have heavy snow on Thursday 😭 so wish us luck that open season for trout is nice !!! And i use barbless on the first couple days of open season for trout just incase we don’t plan to keep any and my favorite lure i like to use is the Berkley power bait soft plastic worm tan for clear water when it’s warm out and red or pink for when it’s kinda cold and sometimes best during open season and let it drift with a hook and no weight or jig it with light taps from the bottom
Recently moved to Chester county PA and am having trouble finding ponds and small bodies of water to fish. Any suggestions? I know Hibernia and chambers lake is great for boating but I’m going to be on the bank
Just ordered some of those and exited to try them out! I love trying other spinners and ive tried Rooster tails, Panther Martin’s and Blue Fox but I haven’t caught any with Blue Fox but I saw these Thomas spinners and want to try them. Nice video though man 👍
Caught my limit in about 15 minutes at that tree opening day in the afternoon. People sitting in folding chairs (bucket brigade) under the train bridge 100 yards up the canal caught nothing during that time.
Man, you are catching lots of trout, meanwhile im still trying to catch my first trout. Cause where i go to fish trout, theirs always at least 10 people fishing that small pond...
My all time favorite lure for trout is the rooster tail, I've even caught my first trout on that lure and I was so excited that I caught my first rainbow trout in Roanoke VA, but I also caught some chunky rainbows on a ultralight rapala sinking minnow,
Plus a saying to epf I hope you feel better bro, plus your videos have inspired me to explore new fishing areas and try new lures and baits, keep reeling them fish in leo🤘🤘🤘
I have to try to find some of those spinner in my area , if they have any of those Awwww I envy those people who live in those houses right by that stream
Those Spinners really work I purchase some today from Walmart went to the lake and got 3 nice trout with then a half an hour and they only $2 and some change😍
@@scycosnake3964 i havent. Ive always seen em on the shelves but they were always a tad bit bigger than I wanted them to be. Might pick up a pack in a shope anyways to check em out.
The "Golden Trout" is native to California in the Golden trout creek off the kern river these fish look really cool with very golden bellies and dark green backs. Then there is Golden Rainbow trouts that are a very golden yellow on there bellies and backs they are bred and stocked and are super cool to find. And there is also Palomino Trout that is very similar to Golden Rainbows that are also bred in hatcheries.
Is the in line spinner similar to the rooster tail? Also have you tried barbless hooks? Any time the action is hot. I don't mind losing a few fish off my hook. The less damage we do to the fish. The higher the chance of that fish coming back.

Nice video Leo. The company is based on NEPA in Hawley . Nice to support a local PA company. Great lure for trout
I live with high uric acid also! Its tuff not eating lots of red meat and fish but love to catch them and let them go! Awesome video!

Yo Leo u the man
They need to make an EPF series.
nice video👍
Nice fishing etiquette. Love it.
Nice..I make my own that are like that except I use a Brass blade.

I like to use inline spinner for small mouthbass
Trout love the spinners!
Awesome Leo!!
Thank you!
Pinch the barbs. I've never killed a brown, even when badly hooked. Pliers help too hahaha
What a beautiful day out there, spring is in the air
Replace all those treble hooks with Gamakatsu Siwash hooks. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Good numbers of some beautiful Trout in that creek. Always best when hardly anyone is around too!
Nice trouts man!!!

Didn't know about your gout and hypoglycemia. Sorry about that. I love my thought.
On my wife’s phone check out the new panther Martin double blade inline spinner
Does this spinner work a little bent from catching fish? This is my go to spinner it works the best.
Nice video man
Glad that you enjoyed it!

Thanks...I will go and buy me some...
Line: Berkley Vanish 100% Fluorocarbon, 4lbs test line. Do you use straight fluorocarbon/ no leader? How about swivels for spinners? Thanks!

Sweet video where is this location?
man the content is good, but im about to like suggest a bounce based on the intro alone
_Beautiful video amazing place Congratulations I loved it!_
*HUG!!!* 👍🎣😊
Congrats on your Award Leo!!! Well deserved.
Panther Martin in the yellow body with red dots in 1/16 is my favorite for trout but have caught smallmouths, pan fish and large mouth on them too.

👌

Love the Panther Martin in line spinners the best. Mepps Aglia and Blue Fox vibrax get honorable mention. Got to get one of those Thomas lures.
Joseph NY Wayfarer I’m glad you didn’t include rooster tails. Can’t stand them
Norwood Robins honestly I just have no luck with rooster tails. Feel like they never spin right. Memos and panther Martin over roosters for sure. Just an opinion, but definitely how I feel
Just read about the history of the Delaware canal. Pretty neat!
I recommend if you’re going catch an release then to cut your hook to a single barbless hook. Helps keep them alive great video man
Nice video. You have me motivated for trout. Been out 3 times in the last two weeks for browns! Such beautiful fish!

also looking to catch largemouth
I like using trout jigs on an ultra light setup, sometimes with an inline spinner or a super duper.
Also, don't be afraid to use a 7' rod for trout.
Just ordered some of those and exited to try them out! I love trying other spinners and ive tried Rooster tails, Panther Martin’s and Blue Fox but I haven’t caught any with Blue Fox but I saw these Thomas spinners and want to try them. Nice video though man 👍
Man Leo, that spinner is a killer!
How are you not snagging in those trees??
Leo you are a legend
Caught my limit in about 15 minutes at that tree opening day in the afternoon. People sitting in folding chairs (bucket brigade) under the train bridge 100 yards up the canal caught nothing during that time.
Come to Sacramento
Man, you are catching lots of trout, meanwhile im still trying to catch my first trout. Cause where i go to fish trout, theirs always at least 10 people fishing that small pond...
It's at least 200 by me on opening morning unfortunately. You are basically guaranteed to tangle lines with someone else.
My all time favorite lure for trout is the rooster tail, I've even caught my first trout on that lure and I was so excited that I caught my first rainbow trout in Roanoke VA, but I also caught some chunky rainbows on a ultralight rapala sinking minnow,
I have great luck with an 1/8 oz black rooster tail with the spoon colored black by permanent black marker.
I just started useing spiiner baits and the wardens rooster tail spinner is absolutely deadly. I think i like them better than soft plastics
Great video Leo I have only trout fished once but today I caught a redfin pickerel out of one of my local creeks Hogtown creek in Gainesville florida
Very nice! Keep on slaying, and thanks for watching.
That's awesome I caught my first crappie of the year on a spinner bait with a buck tail.
If I was hammered over the weekend I,d have a hangover !!!
Hey Leo, why are you not afraid of getting your shoes wet? I can't even stick one foot into the water for a little.
Plus a saying to epf I hope you feel better bro, plus your videos have inspired me to explore new fishing areas and try new lures and baits, keep reeling them fish in leo🤘🤘🤘
Hey can you do a video on small softplastics called crappie sliders! They work insanely well and I would love to see you do a vid on them
I appreciate the suggestion. Thanks for sharing!
Damn the hooksets from hell. Those hooksets are MASSIVE.
We bought every one at Wal-Mart lmao
Nice day! Would love to see your hands occasionally to see the retrieve speed. Best of luck!!
Have you ever used a phoebe
I have to try to find some of those spinner in my area , if they have any of those
Awwww I envy those people who live in those houses right by that stream
They probably don't even like fishing
Those Spinners really work I purchase some today from Walmart went to the lake and got 3 nice trout with then a half an hour and they only $2 and some change😍
🎣🎣🌟👍
Looking forward to seeing more dope content this spring! Keep it up, Leo.
Steelhead fishing on the Brule river in Wisconsin. Check it out...
Check out Hildebrandt flicker spinners Leo. The size 0 is 1/40oz, you can even cast them with a fly rod. Deadly for Trout ;)
Nice video man as usual
I caught my 2 trout on open day trout on a 1/32 once panther Martin
Panther martins are my fav spinners from walmart, then mepps, then rooster tails.
Yellow/chrome panther with red spots is my go to.

Thank you! And yes.
The "Golden Trout" is native to California in the Golden trout creek off the kern river these fish look really cool with very golden bellies and dark green backs. Never really used spinners, I'm going to have to try it.
Thanks for shouting out the SRG event! Great day of fishing too.
Nice Leo! I wish I could join you, but I am in California. Take it easy.

Gout is no joke brother! I'm in the same boat!

That lure is killer! I also like the Mepps and Blue Fox spinners they catch everything!
Howdy
Great video Leo. Not many Brown trouts this year.
Thank you! And you are right....definitely not a lot.

I don't always mess around with my Johnson.
CARPS!!!!!!! LOL Sorry Leo I just can wait for the next 40 pound carp challenge! But cool video!! Love that spinner
In line spinners. Effective at catching fish. Really effective at creating line twist.
Use a swivel
I like the, 'short chubby ones!' 😊
Looks like a fun day of fishing, that spinner is a gem. I'm in northeast phila, where exactly is that canal you were fishing in?
I spend 2 hrs in L.A. trying to catch trout, this dude catches in less than 2 mins. Man,City sucks
Yo EPF, spinners are my favorite lure off the ultralight.
