Hey guys !!! Can’t remember if I told you but with just 3 months until retirement our plans have changed. We were all set to move to San Cris and then my wife decided she wants to start things off in her home country, Nicaragua. Soooo, we are now moving to a city in the mountains called Matagalpa ! We are very excited and should be living there by mid March. Come visit…we’ll show you around ! 😀

great tips👍 I have traveled through mexico extensively and these tips are very similar. A couple more i can share about street food: 1. make sure it is a place that is busy with locals. They won’t go back if they poison people. 2. Make sure the person who is cooking food is not the one handling money. 3. if there are any specific foods to avoid it would be strawberries and raw seafood. I eat these sometimes but I know there is much higher risk for poisoning. most of the safety issues i’ve come across are unpainted speed bumps, potholes, uneven sidewalks…. 😅

So helpful, thank you! I've been to Yucatan a couple of times, and did get a bit sick with a stomach problem, and was so happy with the pharmacy. I also caught a cold and they had Vicks 44 on the shelf of a grocery store. We can't even get that here anymore, but did that ever help.
