Keep an eye on your lift height on the long term. I'm on my second spec-c kit on my forester wilderness because the first one failed after about a year and around 9k-10k miles, leaving me at less than stock ground clearance, never came close to the weight limit. Was a massive pain to get them to honor their warranty too Unfortunately, everyone else I personally know who runs or ran the ironman kit also had theirs fail. The rear bushings also seems to be a common failure point with these.
I’m having all kinds of issues with this kit. Primarily, I can’t get the transmission to stop vibrating. The entire car vibrates at acceleration. I’ve tried the trany brace kit to have it only work for a few thousand miles. Professionally installed. Y’all be damn sure you know what you’re getting into. 2017 3.6R 47000 miles. Kit installed Jan 2024.
That’s too bad.. I have not had any issues.. I have heard a lot of people who pay to get the kit installed, the mechanics don’t put in the subframe spacers lol. It’s a bit of work and they may think they aren’t necessary, well they are ! lol
@@WildernessOffroad Thanks for the response. I’m at whits end. I’ll ask the owner of the shop if the spacers are installed. It’s truly heartbreaking. Do you know of someone in So. Cal. that can inspect and remedy? The other issue I have is breaking at speed. The entire vehicle fishtails. In hindsight, quite dangerous. Thank you 🙏🏼
Yeah it sounds like it really has been installed wrong. Brake line extensions are supposed to be installed as well. I don’t know of a shop, but I would go on Ironman 4x4 and look at the store locator. One of the stores may do installs as well.
I am planning to lift my 2024 Forester with Ironman 2inch lifting kit. Do you know is it just bolt on and that's it or do you have to make some adjustments with the cars brain for all the electronics to work properly?
@@WildernessOffroad That's great, I was worried that raising the suspension on the Subaru Forester might disable some of the electronic assist features like EyeSight or similar, and that I'd have to reprogram something in the system to recognize the higher suspension. But yeah, it's awesome that this isn't necessary.
Have the same car. Love the Ironman set up for gravel roads. But they have lots of report of sagging over time.
Its looking good.. a big difference
dude, that looks awesome. Looking forward to the field report

There is nothing electronic with the suspension. Just make sure you don’t miss any parts and to get an alignment afterwards
