Anyone else get a LOUD whistling resonance with these bars installed between 65-80mph? It only occurs when I don’t have anything installed on the bars… incredibly loud inside the cabin

I recommend adding Thread-lock to the mounting bolts.

I just finished installing on my 2019 Outback. Wish I had seen this first. I just reused the original bolts to attach the brackets. The new bolts that came with the rails didn’t seem to thread into the existing holes. Maybe it was user error.

Just use the D ring on the rear passenger seat belt, it's always there and automatically retracts when released

Not bad, I like how compact they are. I've got a set of window vents for my forester wilderness made by Visual Autowerks myself, got tired of no one making any vents so I got a few people together to pre-order and get him to add the current gen forester. Ended up adding 80mm usb fans to it via some magnets.

I tried the carabiner in my 2021 Subaru Outback limited and the carabiner would not come out as shown in the video. Also, the light on the dashboard never went off. We finally removed the carabiner. Phew! I called the dealer who mentioned this tip would likely not work on newer Subarus.

Have the same car. Love the Ironman set up for gravel roads. But they have lots of report of sagging over time.

Keep an eye on your lift height on the long term. I'm on my second spec-c kit on my forester wilderness because the first one failed after about a year and around 9k-10k miles, leaving me at less than stock ground clearance, never came close to the weight limit. Was a massive pain to get them to honor their warranty too Unfortunately, everyone else I personally know who runs or ran the ironman kit also had theirs fail. The rear bushings also seems to be a common failure point with these.

I have my GFC puffpad mattress inflated, with a couple of sleeping bags and square couch throw pillows up in my Superlite. I can zip it closed, just not strapped down. Im sure you can do the same.
