    Hi Peter
    Think you might have solved my problem with a DJH City of Glasgow loco I bought at the Crewe exhibition at the weekend. No coupling on the tender.
    Glad you sorted the point problem out.
    Speaking with Lord Al at Crewe he still isn't sure why he got banned.🤣
    Great vlog buddy.
    Stay safe.

    Hi Peter. Nice running session as usual.
    I would be very interested in seeing a video on removing the bogey side frames.
    Regards…. Steve 👍

    I'd say that your adaptations aren't mad at all Peter, quite the opposite! Your channel is an inspiration, a reassurance, a learning curve and often an antidote to/for the rest of us who also find plenty of issues/ problems with our railway paraphernalia to overcome too, so thank you for sharing your insights and remedies.
    Regards Julian

    Ahh, Peter... wonderful to see you and some great chat and chin-wagging to start. Then, a great running session! You always manage to present the trains and layout from different angles and video stories- always great... along with my personal faves- the Network Rail and the Europhoenix 37 (but they are all grand!)! Take care!

    Fantastic coupling idea Peter, you should Patent it before Hunt Couplings do their own lol
    I think its way past time for hook type magnetic couplings like this need to be made say to replicate the prototypical screw links so modellers can detail both ends of a loco without worrying about all the gubbins getting in the way.

      @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162  9 місяців тому +1

      Thank you very much. The problem with taking the link from where the hook is , is it does not give the distance needed for the loco to go around curves, so the wagon or coach still needs to allow for that. So I can't have it as close coupled as I like TBH but it works :) Cheers Peter

    Hi Peter - As always informative and entertaining too . Those coupling eyes work a treat and enable detailing at both ends so a brilliant invention !!
    Love the running shots that always show off the stocl so well.
    Cheers Kev

      Yes Hornby loco wheels are a lot thicker than other train makers that's why they can short over Peco points as they bridge the gap at Pecos finer frog. Don't get me wrong all my locos run fine through points its when you have to set. them for the turn I can hear and see you have to be careful on the turn if the back to backs are at the outer limit Cheers Peter

    Evening Peter. i see your back in the shed again, which is always great to see. thank you for the mention. Funny that you have to re-set the wheels of class 37, just to get the loco to rung through the points. i have not heard of that one before. anyway must stop my waffling.. take care my friend. Tony

    • @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162
      @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi Tony, don't get me wrong, it goes through points its when you have to turn out that you have to take it carefully as set track point are quite Sharpe even if there supposed to be 2nd radius so if taken to fast it will jump the point. I didn't film it but it can now turn off the point a lot faster than what I showed. Cheers Peter

    Hi Peter,
    Another title for this could have been "The Mad Mad World of Peter Dixon" but I must say all your little very clever additions do work and if West Hill Wagon Works took them on they would I think sell ok. A big thank you for the mention wondered why I was getting new subscribers with nothing new up and the reason for that is still getting to grips with the new end to end layout big changes have taken place I have some wood for it and a live video will take place at sometime proberbly before the 60 video. I will try setting my back to backs at 14.4mm to see if they run better so cheers for that also. I have reattached the chain on the Accurascale 37 (with glue) talk about fiddly was going mad!!!!!. but not yet tried the cv sound setting but will. As you say getting a bit cold now not even 50F in loft now but a bit better in the conservatory thankfully keep well and safe and think of more clever ideas to show us.
    Cheers Robert.

    Pete, you could use sanding paper to file the brass gauge down to 14mm like I did, me old POMS friend. Also, you need to Patent this Blue Pete(r) Dixon coupling idea with West Hill, before they steal it. I like your double headed Class 20s are they Bachmann?

    • @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162
      @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162  9 місяців тому

      Ha ha no you're right it is a bit Blue Peter ish :) Yes the 20s are the last release from Bachmann which they have a new set coming soon with the fixed marker lights. Cheers Peter

    hi peter , oh dear , yes allan banned , funny , great vid as usual , peter can i ask iff you did tutorial on hattons 66 as mine has started to run odd , jerky and think you may of covered this issue by setting certain c v settings , all te best and kind regards , john

    • @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162
      @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162  9 місяців тому

      Hi there John. No not me sorry to say, left all my settings as they were. My issue was with the wobble caused by the bogies. Problem at the moment is there's no spares for the Hattons 66 but there might be hope when Accurascale produce it as they may stick with the same motors etc if that's what the problem is. All the best Peter

      @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162  9 місяців тому

      Yes indeed :) I mean you can run the loco as is, you just have to be careful when turning out and not do it too fast or else it would climb the frog. All the best matey Peter

    Great video and very informative as always. to save taking class 37 apart due to tight back to back settings what points do you recommend for a new modeller.

    • @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162
      @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162  9 місяців тому

      Hi David, I guess it has to be Peco they do there own version of Set track and I believe there's no issue with the 37s on Peco.
      Cheers Peter

    Hi Peter look forward to the 37 video,i do like the breakdown train.Have you fitted cab crew to the Accurascale 37?

    • @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162
      @torridonroadbypeterdixon4162  9 місяців тому

      Hi, yes all the 37s have the crews fitted, vey easy job to do as the 37 body comes off so easily and gives excellent access to the cab seats. I used Accurascale own figures the fit perfectly with a little black tac. Cheers Peter

    I had to go under back to back on a bachmann steamer as it wouldn`t go round 3rd curves, I saw Roberts vid looked a good show
