Hi there yes in this body I used a paper clip which I straighten up and PVA, which lets you position the fan dead centre Just leave aside and give time for the PVA to set Cheers Peter

Thanks Stuart but no speed matching didn't work totally totally different locos. So for now Im cheating by removing the drive shaft and worm gear on top of the bogies, very easy to do and put back when needed. So their paired up and sound together but no drive to the Bachmann 37 Suits me as I will mostly be running them together All the best Peter

@@StMaryChurchModelRailway Hi Stuart, the problem was running under sound. Both are totally different setup on how they power up to pull away with the Bachmann being much slower on the uptake. I had them running around to see how it could work. The acceleration was different and when it got up to speed step 10 (of 25) I had to run the Bachmann at speed step 8. So I was not going down the route of changing CVs. TBH I have the Accurascale Colas on order and when that comes will convert the Bachmann back to solo running and see how two Accurasale 37 work as a consist . Cheers Peter

Thanks Dave, very easy, drop out the bogie towers, remove the drive shaft, the worm gear assembly on top of the gear towers. Leave the other gears in place and you will find you will have a freewheeling bogie. Keep the bits safe as its simple to revert back if needed Cheers Peter

Hi Richard, even before I played around with my own type of custom couplings I never had any problems using West Hill Wagon work Elite couplings on any of my Bachmann locos. Cheers Peter

Hi Ron yes well spotted, I never noticed till I ran the loco and found the two of them running. So it made my mind up for me as to which DRS 37 from the 3 Bachmann's got the body swap :) Cat is called 'Ash' :) Cheers Peter

Thank Deano, yes was even thinking of a Hornby railroad version but then having 3 Bachmann 37s and the one I swapped the body on was running the same number as the HN rail. So that sorted that and I still have many DRS locos of all classes Thanks again all the best Peter

Hi Al matey, simple answer is I cheated and removed the drive shaft and worm gear, so she's free rolling. I will always use it paired up. If ever I want it to run under its own power I can quickly put the parts back. Tried it in a consist, no way was totally totally different Cheers Peter

Hi your Lordship. Tried it as a consist and it was terrible So simple answer was to cheat and removed drive shaft and worm gear so she is a free wheeling engine. I will always run it with the HN 37 so I don't need it to run by itself and if ever I do it quick and easy to fit the bits back :) Belated Happy Birthday all the best Peter

Hi nothing so fantastic Im afraid. It is the Bachmann motorised version I hot wired to a decoder, no sound no lights but I put a false roof on it to make it look bigger, because as you know this is in HO rather than OO. I have the Hornby coach its in white so you may miss the fact its Balfour Beatty livery :) Cheers Peter

@@paulsimpson1423 Out of the box it for about 10 minutes then it locked up and wouldn’t move, the body was vibrating when power was applied and the sound was working, I’m very competent working on model trains and didn’t want to send it back, I removed the body and desoldered pickup and motor wires from the pcb then carefully removed the pcb, I checked the motor was working correctly which it was, one on the bogie drive turrets had locked up, I had to remove the cab seating to gain full access to the bogie upper turret, thanks to Peters guidance video’s, I removed the outer bogie facia connected to the chains the removed the locked up bogie, I took it apart and reassembled it with some Labelle 106 ptfe grease, this made the drive gear move very smooth as it’s supposed to, i lightly greased the drive shafts that were dry and reassembled the locomotive, it all works very well now, I guess they aren’t tested enough before they are released, I got unlucky with mine, hopefully other modellers won’t have similar issues.
