I wanted killer sound for my desktop PC (for listening to music, watching youtube videos, playing video games and more), so i picked up a Denon DRA-800H Stereo AVR for only $399 and a pair of Audioengine P4 speakers in bamboo, and a SVS SB1000 sub. The DACS built into the Denon are phenomenal, and the system's sound is AMAZING.
Yes! Would also look into a separate streamer, maybe something you could operate from a phone or iPad for convenience. Also a simple device like an Audioquest Jitterbug would be a nice way to upgrade your current USB output!
If you want to hear the difference with and without a clock go listen to ocd Mikey. He did a test with a clock and without. Massive difference with a clock. Cables do make a difference with the sound. I hear it in my system. As far as a Ethernet cable making a difference I’m on the fence about that.
Please don't waste your money! As an audiophile with over 50 years of experience, I can tell you with absolute certainty, you don't need a DAC, unless your current equipment is ancient (15+ years old), or just cheap crap, or maybe some combination of the two, in which case, you should just upgrade your core equipement. If the core of your system includes a modern, $700+ Surround AVR/Stereo Receiver/Integrated Amplifier, you absolutely DO NOT NEED a DAC, nor should you want one, unless you just like to waste money. Everything you need, you already own in your equipment. And if you think your new AVR doesn't sound "musical" enough, return it and buy a Marantz AVR. You're welcome.
50 years of experience is all you will share? I need more detalis emperical evidence. 50 years and no science / fact to back up your statement is just suggesting your old and unwilling to adapt
But a decent dac does make a difference. From sound quality to clarity to imaging etc.. do you need a dac? No you don’t. But Dacs do make a difference buddy.
The best way is to smoke a lot of weed, my stereo completely disappears after a few pipes.
Talk about transparent, wowee 😵💫
I have the SMSL AO300 connected with usb to a PC. Can i improve it with an external DAC?

@@kofitheakan9328 Please, by all means, go blow/waste your money.
@kofitheakan9328 Would I be wrong in thinking you sell hi-fi products, including DACs?

@@thomasalexand yes you will be. I'm just a hobbyist and have listened to and have several dac.
I disagree newer doesn't mean better
Newer doesn’t mean better, but when you hear something that’s better, you can’t hold on to the past!
