    You dont need to bleed the fuel system? It automaticly?

    • @hotstonemedia376
      @hotstonemedia376  3 роки тому +1

      Yes. The lift pump will pump the fuel for 3 seconds as soon as you turn on the ignition and will continue to pump while the engine is running.

    Do you need to close a valve for the fuel anywhere? Or does it not drain the fuel tank when you remove the filter?

      As long as everything is switched off and the key is not in the ignition or engine is not running then the tank won't drain out.

    Did you have a operating condition or sputtering that required the filter change?

      Fuel filter is a service part that you suppose to replace as maintenance. Best to replace it once every 2-3 years in order to keep the fuel system clean if your here in the UK. If your in other countries where the fuel is not as clean then you may have to replace it more often.

    This is wrong. You must bleed the system or you could damage the high pressure fuel pump because you ran it dry.

      Your comment applies to vehicles that don't have a lift pump. This vehicle has a lft pump in the fuel tank.

    Hey, i have an audi a4 b8 2011 how do i know my car have an automatic pump ?

      You should be able to hear the sound of fuel flow in the filter for few seconds when the ignition is switched on and engine is not running.

    100% wrong, took a big chance without bleeding the fuel system, just because time car started doesn't mean you won't do damage, high pressure pump run dry is a costly mistake

      You are 100% right when it comes to vehicles without automatic bleeding. You are 100% right about causing damage to high pressure pump if run dry this is why you have to prime the system by turning the ignition on & off before starting the engine on vehicles with automatic bleeding. And this vehicle has automatic bleeding. Therefore you have 100% wrong ly misunderstood the video and all the previous messages.

      @@hotstonemedia376so by cycling the ignition key, the system automatically primes? How many times do you need to do this to refill the system and purge all of the air?

    Use hose clamp pliers on hose and use vcds to take the air out of the filter and just then fit the filter and take the clamps out of the tubes. That's so wrong how you did it...
