I see all the comments from people who are disappointing and really did not feeling it. Yes they change, like everyone and every musician. The only constant is change. For me personally one of the most interesting metal bands atm and I am really looking forward to listen to more new stuff. Love their progress. ❤

Yup, and people are entitled to not liking it as well if the elements that made their music likable for them are not present any longer.
I am really not enjoying this swap from the Stoner vibe i love so much to this more modern emo type stuff, idk, but it reminds me of bring me the horizon, 30 seconds to mars, that kind of musical aestethic i have never enjoyed and never listened much to either.
To me the mods had been a great representative of modern stoner rock but not this latest album tbh, i'll stick to the older ones i guess.

@@timho2402 well I reckon if we like a certain sound and vibe and that’s why we follow a band and then one day it changes it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth… don’t mean others won’t like it or that it’s even bad, it’s just not why we were originally here.

Not for me really, i got into the Mods for the Stoner vibe, it doesn't seem to be a part of their new sound as it used to be, this record so far will be a pass for me, sad to say that.
Right? Sounds more of those power metal stuff but I really don't mind that, it's the vocals for me that don't click it

Critiquing them over a visual that includes lyrics is the silliest little thing. About the music, not everything needs to be played on repeat and that's fine - we can all collectively get mad at them when they stop playing Vidage. Until then, let them have fun.

@@georgepatas3319 Και το κακο ειναι πως ειχαμε πολυ δυνατη stoner σκηνη. Ενταξει δεν μπορεις να βγαζεις τοσο καλο υλικο συνεχεια. Αλλα αυτες οι μπαντες ειχαν το peak τους οταν πρωτο βγηκαν τελικα.
Κάθε μπάντα εξελίσεται, προσθέτουν στοιχεία κλπ Υπομονή να βγει το άλμπουμ

Wasnt what I expected and cant get over the dumb lyrics. Disappointing.
I guess my 1000mods time is over now. New stuff is really generic and the lyrics are pretty dumb even for stoners. I'm happy for the band to progress their career, but to me as a fan it feels like downgrade and regress.

Loved their EP album and their first 3 albums, they were awesome and Mods gained so many fans. Didn't like the last album and i don't think I'll like this new album. Their sound has changed since they had Matt Bayliss as a producer?

1000 Mods gained so many fans worldwide based on their earlier sound going back to 2006.
It's only progression if that new move in their sound actually wins over new fans or is better than their first 3 albums, which in my opinion isn't.

And yep, i do realise that opinions are like A'holes, we all got one. I love the old mods but I also love the new mods. Sometimes on first listen its hard with a band that you love to appreciate how good what they are doing is.
And I suppose the main point I'm making is who are we to criticise if we ourselves are not out there doing what mods are doing. The last album from QOTSA took me at least nine listens before i really felt it. At least. But love it know. And live all the new songs were just as good as their old ones. Saw them two nights in a row just to make sure. So peace mate. Thanks for kicking back. 🤘✌️🤘

If they lost fans, those weren't real fans. True fans stay with their bands! It's definately a style i din't like and listen to, but somehow, i reaaaallyy like these two new songs they made!

Wonder if I can cancel my preorder. I was hoping that first track was a fluke, but I don't think this album will be for me. That's honestly fine, and I hope it resonates with a larger number of people and helps them become more successful.
