1000mods is a psychedelic/heavy rock band from Chiliomodi, Greece. They were formed in the summer of 2006, and since then they have played over 150 live shows, sharing the stage with bands like Graveyard, Brant Bjork, Colour Haze, Karma to Burn and many more. They are known for their commitment to vintage equipment, thick and heavy analog sound and remarkably passionate stage performances.
In October 2010, the almighty Billy Anderson visited Greece in order to produce the band’s debut album, while Malleus Rock Art Lab took care of the artwork.
Super Van Vacation was born. In order to promote their debut album, they played 40 shows in 15 countries around Europe, including festivals such as Desertfest, Up In Smoke 3, Rockwave and Lake on Fire.
After two successful European tours, the band was ready to get down to work again. Their experiences and growth paved the way for their upcoming album, Vultures which is going to be released on the 30th of May 2014. They are already planning to get back on the road again.

I've always wanted to go to Greece, for the history. Now I want to go for the music too, 1000 Mods, Puta Volcano and many more.
saw them together along with babel trio in september and they were damn good.the crowd was obviously way wilder
GO! I've seen Puta Volcano and 1000mods twice. Try to catch them at club gigs. Both bands are very humble and cool and make a very intimate atmosphere on club nights. I've seen them at a festival too and didnt get the same experience. Most bands play different sets on festivals than at clubs mostly because they have to fit in a time schedule.
dont forget the pionneers of the greek scene "Nighstalkers"... They were rocking way before 1000mods. I love em both of course!

Let it be known that the bassist from Sleep also plays the bass like this guy, so before you flip shit about how it doesn't play correctly (like some of you already are) there really is no "right" way to play bass, and other play it that way too, so its not just him trying to be like a poser or something.

The music does not sound awesome at all, since you cannot distinguish the bass in the mix of all instruments. The reason for that is the fact that bass is not played at all by that way since such fingerstyle leads only to a blurry, unheard bass sound. Please hear other bands and bass players in this kind of music and you will notice clearly the difference. To sum up, please do not interfere bullshit image and posers with musicianship.
