No me about to runnn to goodwill 😂😂😂 this is so great! I can’t ever find t-shirt yarn in any of the shops near me! I love this better anyways, there’s so much clothing waste in the world. (And I def need a new rotary blade for this project 😆)
Just what I was looking for. I'm a 63 yr old widow who's husband passed away last yr. Well boy have I got T shirts and time on my hands. I love crafting and have even made wool braided rugs. But quilting is my favorite. I've been doing it for over 30yrs but sometimes I need to change things up and learn new things.I want to try some crafts using T shirt yarn, like maybe some place mats, rag rugs and that little basket you made is adorable. Thanks for the cutting tutorial.
I'm here for the same reason. I'm thinking a kitchen rug, but placemats sound good too. My late husband's been gone 2 years now. I think I'm ready. 😢 Sorry for your loss!
I'm here for the same reason! I'm 60 also lost my husband last year. And lots of T shirts. I just made several aprons from his collared shirts. They are adorable!!
This is absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing. My husband passed away recently and I think I'm going to use all his t-shirts to make me some yarn to crochet bags with. Happy crocheting❤
I've done this a few times and made a few rugs, but I needed a refresher course and this was great! Sometimes some of the people that show this get so talkative that I have to fast forward. Yours was just right!❤
This I call brilliant! So easy. T-shirt yarn is also expensive where I live and what better way to get free yarn than from old t-shirts 👚 💃🏿🤸🏾♀️ Hmmm... 🤔, me going to see if I still have some old t-shirts 👕 squeezed in somewhere! 😂. Thanks for this! ❤️
This is great to use old T-shirts. When you attach the yarn together in the middle of the stitch instead of weaving the ends in later lay them across the top and crochet over them.
Hi Thank you very much , i just cut and stretch and made my first T shirt yarn ( Trapillo) now i need to make more to make one of your projects I am so excited, Can you please tell me how many more balls of yarn or how many T shirts i need to make the blue basket ?
What brand scissors do you use and where did you get them? I bought a pair that looks just like yours, but won’t cut through 4 layers of T-shirt material!
I found a tutorial for a Laptop bag on your website. Can I do that with shirt yarn as well? What do I have to keep in mind when I replace the material (I guess it will be thicker?)?

Rotary blade is definitely faster😅

Stay busy and bless.
@@dawnstrazdon8586 thank you!
I think it would be a wonderful way to remember your loved one too - using his old t shirts and creating a craft with them!❤

🥹 that’s a wonderful idea. Sending you lots of love ❤️
Wow i didnt know it was this easy! Time to gather all my old shirts!!
Super easy! It took less than an hour to cut four shirts and make a big ball of yarn!
And so much less expensive! T shirt yarn isn't cheap!
Wow, this is excellent!! Thank you so much for this tutorial, easy explanation and right to the point 😊
You're very welcome! Happy you enjoyed it

I'm glad it was helpful! I try to keep it concise.
An amazing video thank you 🙏🏻
I’m from Guatemala and you helped me a lot 😆😆😆
Amazing! I’m happy to hear that!
I love this upcycling you don’t need to buy yarn to do something when you got so many old shirts shirts laying around!!
Thank you!! I am currently going through my old clothes so this is perfect!
Happy to help you upcycle!
I'm all in for your tute. Great idea and will be quicker to complete, instead of using regular yarn when making my feline bed Thanks for sharing.

Of course! Have fun! You could totally do a patchwork with bunches of colors! They don’t all have to be the same.
@@BagsbyBento Ahh! That's right. 👍🏾

This is so smart i can't wait to try it!
Have fun! I had a blast making it 🧶
Love it❤🎉
Thank you - I will go look!😊
You’re welcome! Have fun!
magic!!! thank you :)
You're so welcome!
Hi!! 🫶 Do you have any idea of the length of the final yarn? Thanks for the video! ✨
Thank you so much
thank you so much!!
Thankyou for this video

I used three xxl t shirts to make the basket!

You totally could! It should be pretty similar in weight but I would measure your chain and make sure it will fit your laptop!
@@BagsbyBento thank you :)
What brand of scissors are you using and where did you get it from?
Oh man… I’m not sure! I’ve had them for forever. I’ve seen similar style at Joann fabric store though!
We can cut any fabric like that
Do you stick to 100% cotton shirts or is any shirt fine?
Something with a little stretch actually works great!
What size hook are you using for the t-shirt yarn?
9mm in this video but it varies depending in the yarn!
Does using the no-knot method cause the finished product to unravel or break apart? Do you need to reinforce it in anyway?
How much( in grams) do we get from one t shirt
why nit cut theough circular as to have un enfinity yarn
That’s an option too if you have a big enough t-shirt!!
❤
What a good idea and your instructions are very plain! I'm going to give it a whirl on some old tshirts that I can't wear but just can't let go of.
Theres a much better way to connect the ends, but hard to explain. Find other videos that do it
