Simplest to remember is that Heroes don't count as having a role. Even if it is visible on the screen, they do not count as Attacker, Defender or Healer. I do not know if they count as having a nation. You spoke of a bonus by matching the Role on the Chain Order Card. You also get a bonus by matching the Nation. A Keves card gets an additional bonus by using Noah, Eunie or Lanz, while an Agnus Card grants a bonus to Mio, Sena or Taion. Note that an Ouroboros Order and the Nopon Hero pair both count as both Nations.
Uroboros orders is not random, they appear when 2 matching characters have been picked. Also it's good to try to break and topple the enemy as soon as possible as that will stop the enemy from blocking you. Also low TP characters to keep as you usually want to attack with as many characters as possible in the last round and you can't to that if you buff their TP to much with characters like the nopon pair. I have pushed my damage over 1 Million at chapter 4 at around level 40
You deserve a Medal Sir for this lesson im at 70Hr in game and i was thinking i mastered Chain Attack but after watching You i missed some things like the Card if Attackers Finished with attackers to get High TP in next round this blow my mind Thanks Again

You could of used your remaining medic in the last round before finishing for slightly more damage but other than that, a perfect combo 👌 Great video, really helpful thanks 😊

An actually useful guide that answers all of my questions about Chain Attacks in this game, They are really complex in this game, Now if this guy could explain how to actually fight higher level enemies without getting wiped in 5 seconds I could actually play this game without having to overlevel myself which really takes all the fun out of RPG's for me.

Or in other words if I have another hero equipped could it be harder to get the 150% in the first round? The other thing I noticed when you used a healer in your last round of the chain, couldnt you have used the other healer as well directly after? Because it wouldnt have increased further than 99% either, so you could have done a tiny bit of more damage because of the additional attack, right?
The heroes do have some other differences too. Kinda like how Riku wouldn’t get the attacker bonus, I discovered the healers capping at 99 doesn’t work with heroes either. Threw me off a couple of times. I would imagine the defender bonus won’t apply either
Omg, I did not know you could switch the attacker during the chain I’ve been playing for 40 hours just using the character thats currently present, thats so much % exp/cp i could have gained 😭😭😭
Hey super helpful video, thanks for the rundown! I may have missed it but my chain attacks have lately been starting with only 125%, anyone have an idea why this is? I also used to easily be able to get to 1000% damage and now I’m lucky if I break 700. This is despite getting bravo or even amazing on most attacks
Turn off overkills. The absolute last thing you need in this game is _more_ exp. I made the mistake of using the camping levels during the first two chapters and spent the next two chapters so overleveled the challenge was gone (on Hard). Yeah. No overkills and no bonus leveling, at least till endgame
One thing to keep in mind about Hero characters is that they also ignore the "healers cap at 99%" rule and just go past it as usual

wouldnt you want to use healers in the chain attack because they cap at 99 tp and then go into the person with the most tp for the attack?
Typically I try to end the Round off with a Defender so I'm guaranteed the character with the most TP Gain next round.
Really good explanation, just one thing you missed, hero healers will take you over 100tp so keep that in mind anyone following this

100 hours in and i did not know i can choose different members by selecting them. I always just used the default queue. *facepalm*
Used your guide, didnt even do it perfectly (accidentally got one round with 100%tp) and still did 398k damage at level 29
