You have to nail in all the individual nails slowly and painfully on the forms then use a single bucket of concrete to fill it. I love it. Also impressed that not only is a builder using a jigsaw to cut planks, but he cut with the flat of the blade running backwards.
As a carpenter that builds custom homes for a living, I can't even begin to describe the pain of watching these construction simulator games made by developers who have clearly never even held a power tool, let alone set foot on an actual construction site lol.
Yeah if you don’t know what you are doing just make it a normal building game where you just need to place the parts but if it is trying to be a construction simulator then make sure you know what you are doing or at least try to make it realistic.
So funny story. My family makes steel storage tanks. And one guy hired us to make him a bunker. It was the craziest job, we had the strangest sets of specs (because things like ventilation had to be added. And basically when we finished we brought the thing into a suburban neighborhood and put it in a giant hole where his pool use to be. Bringing a crane into a suburban neighborhood was extremely disruptive too, everyone was unhappy with us, but we did it.
How are you suposed to find the bunker if you cover it with dirt? Don't sound very safe to me.. But than again I am an architect so I wouldn't listen to me...
you would think the owner of the house would want to choose their own supplies for their bunker.. but no.. apparently the person who makes the bunker should buy the food... you should have filled it entirely with cat food!
Fun fact:- Matt was actually building this for his npc cities skylines population that have deal with RCE over engineered poop mountain canal , random meteorite strikes , fire hazards etc or maybe just another underground strongest shape structure !
Frankly its an uncomfortable coincidence given countries like Switzerland are asking their citizens to make sure their bunkers are ready and fully stocked, yet we're doing nothing over here in target nation number one, but I'll try to enjoy things while they last :P
I feel it would be more offensive to shorter people (being 5 foot and a few inches myself) to imply they are incapable of reaching higher shelves. We humans have adapted this thing called problem solving and this cult of convenience isn't always the blessing people make it out to be. I would look at the top shelves being empty and think "that's just a stupid inefficient use of space for an emergency bunker" even if I can't reach them without a step ladder or something.
Day 15 of asking RCE to play Machinarium. It’s a 2011 puzzle game with great characters and gameplay, an amazing soundtrack and some very detailed puzzles. It’s available (though not free) on Steam.
Climb back out the right nut - RCE 2023 Edit: it’s actually my birthday today and tomorrow and it was a nice little surprise to see my comment was liked :D
Watching RCE doing way more then what was needed(and costing his friend lots of money) is the reason why Architects do the designing and engineers build them. Achitects forever! :3
Hey RCE 👋👋👋 Please play *Bridge Construction Portals*. It is such a good game. Hilarious and Tricky. The game just goes better and better. Please look at it once, I am sure you and the audience will love it 📈📈.
The problem with architects is not that they sacrifice efficiency in their pursuit of beauty -- after all, beauty is worth pursuing. Rather, the problem is that they constantly fail to achieve beauty.
I think the military should stop giving contracts to them to build military base, bunkers and tent they should hire engineer's because it's better, efficient, strong and looks good
As a 3d generalist myself, this game caused me many pains. Seeing that the developer, Games Incubator, means this seriously and has already awful games in its repertoar shelving more only for a quick buck, it hurts even more to look at it.
Bendy glass layers can take some hammers can make it more fire proof for reentry Can it also have a transparent aluminium layer and a holographic oled layer For a flying swimming jumping holographic lobster growroom with a gel fridge and a magnet cooker
Matt, proving he'd be easy mode in Battleship. The game developers are clearly architect posing as programmers. Rebar, not I-Beams, and ventilation into dirt.
So House flipper has a better version of this game basically built into the dlc. The actual construction of the bunker is not in that game though but it's not the best implementation and makes Fallout 4's settlements look better. I know this was one small team but it doesn't seem great. The video is though.
RCE, where was your trench box the whole time you were excavating that bunker? Someone's gonna call the site foreman, the project safety rep, the GC, and OSHA on you.
You have to nail in all the individual nails slowly and painfully on the forms then use a single bucket of concrete to fill it. I love it. Also impressed that not only is a builder using a jigsaw to cut planks, but he cut with the flat of the blade running backwards.
why do you not wanna use a jigsaw for planks?
Such much patience you have mate I would have well rage quit after the first wall
Check his power washing simulator videos, it's just a fraction of his powers xD
i would just try to build 4 walls and decorate it so its functional and say its done.
You need to make another episode of a wedding for two months😅
Theory: Matt is building this for the Kerbals, to protect them from his giant knob rocket and reality-destroying monstrosities.
@JamesGames A Engineers Theory thanks for watching
@JamesGames That was the vibe I was going for lol
It isnt just a theory
- " < { L O R E } > " -
But that's just a theory a game theory
As a carpenter that builds custom homes for a living, I can't even begin to describe the pain of watching these construction simulator games made by developers who have clearly never even held a power tool, let alone set foot on an actual construction site lol.
Settle down its a game
Yeah if you don’t know what you are doing just make it a normal building game where you just need to place the parts but if it is trying to be a construction simulator then make sure you know what you are doing or at least try to make it realistic.
@@nathanbellerose7744 Is it, though?
Are you trying to tell me you don't use a jig saw for all your mitering needs?
@@bryanmarshall5031 they need to make a saw just for mitering

That what it takes to stop the architects!
Nice job with frame before concrete. You naild it.
🤦♂️engineer humor
@@tarrantwolf and than screwed it up all the beams
Do you think they intentionally made every screw head a philips but then gave you a flathead screwdriver?
Yes, yes they did 😂😂😂. To be fair, it does work 😊
The blurring on the vent was clearly the oxygen deprivation getting to you, you installed that vent just in time!
I am taking this video as engineering approval for building a knob-shaped bunker in my yard.
It’s actually nob not knob
isn't a bunker suppose to have dirt above it?
Details details
I get the feeling that this game doesn't even let you do backfilling.
Only in the architect world. Dirt is only for the “aesthetics”.
Clearly only an architect would have a really deep and effective bunker that will protect you.
How are you suposed to find the bunker if you cover it with dirt? Don't sound very safe to me.. But than again I am an architect so I wouldn't listen to me...
I have a sneaking suspicion that the reason you don't need plumbing in your "bunker" is because it's actually a septic tank.
How would you climb out using that ladder when there is a massive I beam going right through the middle of the hatch...
First reaction when I saw the title,
"Oh oh, this person doesn't know Matt." Lol
I also like that the character uses a, way too small i might add, flat head screwdriver on phillips head bolts.
Also the nails are hollow hehe
0:41 "I wonder why, I wonder how... Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue blue sky"...
10:15 you designed it Matt!
you would think the owner of the house would want to choose their own supplies for their bunker.. but no.. apparently the person who makes the bunker should buy the food... you should have filled it entirely with cat food!
OMG what a tedious game! Thanks for the vid, I'll know to steer clear of this one!
Fun fact:- Matt was actually building this for his npc cities skylines population that have deal with RCE over engineered poop mountain canal , random meteorite strikes , fire hazards etc or maybe just another underground strongest shape structure !
Should have consulted Furze on a backyard bunker project
Frankly its an uncomfortable coincidence given countries like Switzerland are asking their citizens to make sure their bunkers are ready and fully stocked, yet we're doing nothing over here in target nation number one, but I'll try to enjoy things while they last :P
The 1st music you're playing behind, sounds a lot like the Bunnings Warehouse theme ( DIY heavy hardware chain store)
That bunker looks like it will protect you from architects.
2:00 building trenches for WW1
wow those tiny screws hold together those huge beams... neat!
Good luck re-growing the grass over that! 😂
Interesting premise for a game. Colin Furze is your neighbor and needs a bunker. Built it.
8:49 youve got a steel beam going thru your entrance!!! was this designed by an architect?
Day 32 of asking Matt to play SpaceFlight Simulator.
A part from all the bridges... What could he do?
SpaceFlight Simulator Song!
Balls
The 2D worse KSP? Sure, would be fun to watch
Idk what this is, but I agree 🤣
Your friend is preparing for an architect invasion. The dirt is going in your Engineering guild approved Infini-bag.
I feel it would be more offensive to shorter people (being 5 foot and a few inches myself) to imply they are incapable of reaching higher shelves. I can’t believe he missed out on puns for “I got a lot of wood there” and “I went a bit overBOARD”

Pretty sure you'd hit just a few wires if you dug in just a random backyard like that lol
Absolutely love the rivalry you have with the architects it makes me laugh every time you say something about them. Great vid.
The first thing you would notice 1:05
I'd love to see RCE react to Colin Furze.
I didn't know colinfurze was outsourcing his work. A fine job indeed.
Climb back out the right nut - RCE 2023
Edit: it’s actually my birthday today and tomorrow and it was a nice little surprise to see my comment was liked :D
It's basically a Colin Furze Simulator
When you started screwing furniture together all I could think was we have an IKEA game.
Somehow, I really relate to "a low sensitivity mouse but a high sensitivity walking speed."
The Sims 4 is free now... and I'd like to see what Matt would design... excuse me, ENGINEER, as his ideal home😂
I don’t know what’s more ridiculous: this game, or Matt playing this game.
MATT!! The entrance should have been the tip come on man!
Please play the game: "enjineer"
a Colin Fuse game, hahaha, nice!!
I was thinking this myself, he should design Colin's next bunker
Matt had an architect moment when he added the ladder to the nut, instead of adding to the tip. That’s how you make the ultimate stronger form.
Colin Furze likes this.
This could be the best collaboration with colin furze
7:25 I had no idea Matt was playing Timberborn with all that wood
Why did you use a flathead on philliups head screws?
1:30 You can get rid of all the grass, mate. Appreciate the work.
Watching RCE doing way more then what was needed(and costing his friend lots of money) is the reason why Architects do the designing and engineers build them. Achitects forever! :3
Damn no impact driver?! Nothing like hand turning bolts, into cured concrete, with a screw driver... 🤣
I love this channel lol it always makes me laugh
A missed opportunity could have put the ladder on the tip to make an Prince Albert
Please play spaceflight simulator
🎶 Yesterday you talked about the blue blue sky... 🎶
Take a look at the average civil engineer, the client wants something and you did it 5 times

Hey RCE! Planet crafter has an update coming out this week!
Toilet doesn't need plumbing and comes with pre installed roll on the holder. Got to love the details.
“Oh look, we’re actually inside! Doing some internal screwing now.” 💀 12:46
01:38 He said "DICK" several times! 🤭
Eheheheheeheeeheeeeeheee
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Most annoying thing is moving jigsaw backwards
Thank you for the beautiful video
its quite apt that your i-beams have a girthy flange cos i feel like your girthy bunker will need some really big flange
As a 3d generalist myself, this game caused me many pains. Seeing that the developer, Games Incubator, means this seriously and has already awful games in its repertoar shelving more only for a quick buck, it hurts even more to look at it.
Bunker Song! Do it!
Thanks for tutorial of how to make a bunker in your yard 👍
An arcitects nightmare. I love it.
BIG STEEL must be dumping steel beams on the bunker building market to depress prices. Grab extras. Store them in the neighbor's yard.
Lol I think you mixed up web and flange (lol they’re both girthy though) 😅 5:04
As a construction worker; the moment you dragged the jigsaw backwards: emotional damage.
I WANNA SEE MORE OF THIS MATT!
Bendy glass layers can take some hammers can make it more fire proof for reentry
Can it also have a transparent aluminium layer and a holographic oled layer
For a flying swimming jumping holographic lobster growroom with a gel fridge and a magnet cooker
Hey Matt,
Love your videos and I wish great success for you! Please don't burn yourself out on doing a new video every day!
Matt: “I blame the architect!”
Also Matt: is the only person there.
Me: hmmm
The book "wonder how, wonder why" sounds like a music easter egg
Matt, proving he'd be easy mode in Battleship.
The game developers are clearly architect posing as programmers. Rebar, not I-Beams, and ventilation into dirt.
I need a sandbox of this game where you dig and dont need cement screws or anything and ill be digging some wild bunkers
as a person who wants a bunker this game is cool
The Johnson Lodge
not gonna lie this game looks absolutely excruciating to play
lets see a real civ engineer play a shooter game
Another Theory: Matt make a bunker to protect Engineers,Electricians,Builders, and other people from Architects

This game is actually really cool
Great stuff💪🏻🔥
Now am wondering the shape of his actual house..?🤔🤔
RCE, where was your trench box the whole time you were excavating that bunker? Someone's gonna call the site foreman, the project safety rep, the GC, and OSHA on you.
I’d like to see more of this game
Everything about how that jigsaw cuts makes my brain hurt.
if you enjoyed this game, you should check out house flipper simulator! LOL, destroy and design the house ANYWAY you want (moreless)
Have you seen Colin furze bunker, a mighty fine feat of engineering!
The flat-head screwdriver screwing in Phillips head screws annoys me immensely. That's a proper architect move.
Oh yes the strongest bunker in the strongest shape 4:52
