  • Hey Friends!!
We are so excited to share this video with you and share our first harvest with you. Our garden is much bigger this year than it was last year, so hopefully this is just the beginning of a long summer of harvesting! We loved being able to give our first harvest of the year in a cute harvest basket to Emily's Sister! We should have plenty to preserve and enjoy for ourselves this year from our garden, but it is so special to be able to share our harvests with family and friends!
If you enjoyed this video and want to see more garden content on this channel.. Please like this video and let us know in the comments down below so we know what to share with you next!
    God Bless You!!

So glad to see I’m not the only one that gets so excited over the first pickings of the year! For the first time this year we used woven fabric for weed control and burned holes with a torch to plant each seed/plant. It has made such a tremendous difference in our workload and has made gardening more enjoyable. We trellis our beans and cucumbers.

From Google…”If bush beans are growing over the side of a raised bed, you can allow them to cascade over naturally from the weight of the beans”
Love your videos. Your excitement for life is catching! Love it

If you have a lawnmower with a bagger you can put grass clipping that haven't gone to seed on the garden about an inch at a time(so it drys out good and doesn't wrought) to keep down the weeds. Then it tills in good as a mulch at the end of the season.

Be careful planting cucumber and watermelons near each other. Ours crossed pollinated one year and our watermelons tasted like cucumbers

Loved the video! I figure you might not know this but if you are attempting a more organic method of gardening, Sevin dust is unfortunately not all natural or organic at all.
    :(
