**Apologies for the inconsistent video quality. Something was happening with my PC as I was publishing the video. Given the size of this video, I simply couldn't rerecord it. I'll try to get it sorted for future content**
Since I recorded this video, the story with PSSR has gotten a bit worse. More games are showing some profound issues to the point where the PRO version actually looks worse than the base version with FSR. The most problematic games include Jedi Survivor, Silent Hill 2, Alan Wake 2, and the recent COD Black Ops 6 update. All exhibit weird shimmering, fuzziness, or firefly artifacts particularly around foliage and high specular materials. This is likely due to problematic integrations of PSSR which should hopefully be resolved with a developer patch and/or a Sony SDK update with improvements to PSSR. The general story with PSSR is that the 1st party titles with it generally look great and don't exhibit these artifacts but many of the 3rd party integrations are not as optimized or perhaps are not using the latest and greatest update to PSSR. We'll see how this progresses but look out for more updates to come.
Glad you made this video! While there might already be a ton of content out there reviewing the PS5 Pro, I don't watch them and not actively seeking out their opinions. Yours, however, I do care about and want to know your thoughts.
