Thank you for mentioning the Saxon placement test. My son is doing Abeka Math and this week he asked me if we can do harder stuff. He gets so bored because he says it’s so easy. So I’m now looking into Saxon. Knowing about the placement test helps. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this. It was helpful to see a view of the teachers and student book, to have some insight before purchasing this curriculum. I appreciate your tips as well, in how you use it to make it work well for your homeschool.
Hi there - where do you find the graph that is used for lesson two in the 2nd level (2nd grade) Math? I didn't see it in the Teacher's Manual - the meeting guide nor in the lessons...where do we find that graph? Thanks for your help.
@@RussellsLovingLife it is part of the curriculum. Look at page 2-3Wa in the student workbook. It talks about graphs - which you mentioned in your video. But the graph in mtg book is empty. So where do I find that info? It looked when you were flipping through the Teachers Manual that it wasn't in there either ( I didn't get that, unfortunately)
@@debbibenke2417 Look at the Lesson Preparation for Lesson 2 and it will tell you how to create the graph from the meeting book, if that is what you are talking about.
Hi, do grades 1, 2, and 3 cover the same content? If so, do they just get progressively harder in each grade? Also, would you recommend saxon for a child who struggles in math?
For the most part it coves the same stuff at different levels, but the higher the grade goes the more in depth it goes. 1st covers adding, subtracting, telling time, and graphs. Second coves all that put multiplication and division. Third coves all that put double digit multiplication and division from what I remember. I would recommend Saxon. It can be a lot and overwhelming, so take it slow and go at the child's pace.

If it is not in any of those, them I do not know. I only used what came with curriculum.
