Babe, wake up! A new Talkative Tri video just dropped!
This
🙏❤
do you guys know if this game will have pay to win mechanics.
Crazy seeing how much you and Darth have blew up within the last year. POE community goes strong :)
Kinda late
@@synthesis9957 Found tri when he had around 5k subs, and Darth from whenever Asmon reacted to him for the first time. Been here for awhile, I just don't comment much
But Darth is new to Poe lol
@@LivinProoof Yeah, it's a nice change of pace and sort of nostalgic witnessing someone experience POE for the first time and going through their first few leagues
Darthknobhead.
I'm sitting here fantasizing about how cool would it be to get a trailer from the path of building devs. I'm ready to start putting builds together! 😅
New POB trailer! Im game for that : D, with a spreadsheet export function please.
That passive skill tree start being unique to the class you are playing is such an amazing idea.
I really like how eloquent you sound. Very good communicator.
Love coming home to a Talkative Tri video to have dinner with. Thank you!
Thanks, Tri!! Amazing job. Great inteview.
Man the witch and how minions work in general, makes me, a non-minion guy, actually want to play minions this time around. Also, how cool is it, that I could even play a ranger with minions. They are finally moving the whole genre forward and trying new things and not relying on the same old formula like other devs.
Thanks for the summary
Yo, just to inform, Piotr Maciejczak did a small interview with Octavian:) (in english after intro)
Oh cool!
Can see Tri and wife walking in background haha
The limitation of only 1 support gem of any kind at a time is actually so good for the game. I REALLY hope people see the bigger picture with this one. It's limiting, but it's also liberating us from many skills having the same support gem structure no matter what, unchanging for years. I'm nervous with the reception. I guess it depends on how many different (but distinct!) supports they can cram in.
Even on Reddit it's mostly positive, except some people who are hating on Poe 2 anyway!
Rather than limiting support gems to 1, they could've just gotten rid of limitations that the support gems already have in poe1. Like, chance to bleed not working for minions. Or spell echo not working with totems. There would've always been "diversity", but they prevented it from happening by forcing only certain uses for gems and never buffing the underused ones.
If you want to feel the gem balance in poe1, start as a random character and never get gems from quests/vendors, only drops and mechanics. Over time you will always change your build towards certain gems and supports, because they're simply better (albeit slightly differ depending on the character you started as)
I personally don't like the cookie-cutter approach that so far poe2 seems to have. If I can't make a witch with a two handed sword that blinks around, or a marauder with a wand, then it's not poe. Maybe it will be viable, but I'm afraid they'll be too focused on archetypes, making just a few options work.
Absolutely love this change!
@@Kuzka_spell eccho on totems may create some kind of troublesome loop dependancy that due to how OLD the game is, it would be too much trouble fixing it.
PoE is complex but it isnt inherently convoluted, if X skill deals Y damage you only need to increase Y damage, and there is %increased and %more, that already streamline things once you find your sources of Y damage, you only need to find the most efficient supports, some Z support setup. Since it is PoE, you can have uniques, flat dmg, conversions, penetration, ailments and all the, now convoluted, stuff so you can narrow it down to the Y damage and then procceed to the Z support setup lineup.
I do agree with your take on not focuzing on archetype, but, in my opinion, these are just for showcase and make more evident how certain playstyle works, setups, bonus and such. I need to have a look at the templar, heralds, auras and more stuff from the ranger and mercenary(these seemed to offer little to a "party", therefore, no interaction with different archetypes, so, less mixing/branching off). But all these dont change if we have a passive skilltree like PoE, I hope theres more active and supoort gem that arent THAT fancy, not only for the progression curve, but also to let we create builds with stuff that doesnt fit any archetype but suddenly fits due to some weird interaction, etc like usual PoE.
Having support gems limited makes you pick which of your actives "deserve" that support, it is a choice, it isnt some kind of BiS for gems instantly, you need to gauge the damage output of your skill setup, hits, dots, procs, autocast. I kind of prefer that way if we are going the "everyone is getting a 6link".
@@SKKaelth Yeah, I mostly agree, I'm just saying that for now it looks very archetype heavy. But I also think since they showed it this way, they won't be able to do much about it, because those who don't usually play poe will feel falsely advertised to (like, ordering a whole chair, but just getting small pieces to put it together, which technically could allow you to make a different kind of chair, however you didn't pay for that ability, you just wanted the chair. Crude example, I know).
And regarding support gems - what use would you have for the ability to make everything 6 link if the only options will cause some of them to deal less damage, or just be worse in general? The weirdest part is being able to use multiple of the same skill gems, but not supports.
But it all comes down to how it's made when it comes out.
When PoE2 early access has more content than most AAA games...
PoE 2 is real AAAA game
I'm not sure you're using the word "content" correctly. It's an industry term to describe the fluff around the game, not the gameplay or the core design.
The design of PoE2 is great, but the content seems to be about the same as PoE1.
@@ruibarian5187 Well his point still stands then, PoE 1 has way more content than most AAA games
These summary videos are awesome. Thanks a lot!
this game looks SO FUCKING GOOD. I cant believe how sick it looks. Absolutely ridiculous. Im happy the EA is in November, since D4 expansion comes out in October and even tho D4 has its problems, Im curious to see the expansion. But the quality POE 2 appears to have, is so far above anything I would ever expect from D4.
I really hope D4 gets good before POE 2 drops so I get my moneys worth out of it bc when POE 2 drops, Im not sure I will ever look back at D4. i was excited during D4 trailers, but those POE 2 talks, showcases, gameplay videos are really something else. WOW.
cant decide which class Im starting with. Mercenary obviously sick bc its completely new. Ranger looning perfect, Witch summoner build lit af, Druid - thats how a druid should look etc. etc. etc.. I pray this game is exaxtly as good as it looks
I've been watching a ton of your content over the last week and you do a really good job with an easy and digestible breakdown of all this info! Thanks for posting man, keep it up!
Ngl bro you been cookin with these uploads
found u a while ago from darth.... and man happy I did. So hyped thank u for the video amazing info appreciate you a lot !
For the druid summon questions, i'll say elementals, like water, fire, earth elementals (golems perhaps), since the witch don't have much of the elementals on her side anymore
Is there something I need to do to get in the early access?
Just wanted to say, thanks for making these. I dont really have time to watch a 1.5h interview but these 20min recap videos are great for keeping up with poe2 news.
Since specters revive on its own on poe2, I think they will be a thing you want to put in any build, for possible buffs or debuffs the enemy replicated could provide, also i will enjoy my amulet skin that makes all summons bronze colored with the new summons
as always amazing summary
Glad you think so!
Important to note on the MTX transfer from poe 1 to 2 is when i comes to cross platform. Jonathan wants every MTX to transfer to all platforms, on pc that is super simple but on consoles sony and microsoft decides. Jonathan hopes that Sony and microsoft will allow cross platform mtx on all the mtx but they might limit some of them. Jonathan is trying his best to negotiate with sony and microsoft when it comes to mtx and with sony to hopefully not require ps+ to play poe 2.
Viperesque said on discord yesterday that you can equip multiple copies of the same skill gem. Not sure if he was just referring to actives or if it's passives too.
16:06 is this going to be like a unique skill tree with varients or more like 3 customizable versions like we have with the new Atlas Tree this league of POE 1??
Dude November is fking packed. I hope I don't die before that
5:31 So does this mean that we can capture every single enemy in the game on one character? I really hope so, that would be such a fun challenge.
Can anyone explain the new passive skill tree start to me like I'm six? Still don't get what is meant by "three versions" of the passive skill tree. It sounds kinda like each class only has one skill tree, but said skill tree is different in each of the starting areas, depending on which class I chose?
You have it bang on.
@@TalkativeTri ok awesome, thanks!
the first few clusters in the tree will change based on the class you pick ... but everything else stays the same
I still haven't been able to decide which class to choose, the new ones are super interesting and the previous ones are completely redesigned and they also interest me. I can't believe I'm back to that indecision haha well done GGG
Good job as usual
I feel like spiders are more of an occultist summon right. I mean druid, nature, animal, I get that part. But spiders are generally perceived a lot more icky and dark so much like maggots for example, a witch summoning spiders would make a lot more sense to me. I think druid feels more natural around creatures like ravens, wolves, bears, apes, maybe foxes.
Treant summons for Druid?
Dang yo, Druid turning into Wendigo poison build pls
If I could influence drops it would be like this...
If you 100% clear an area of all mobs, the last enemy would drop an exact copy of a random equipped item with one of its stats increased. Call them "merciless item rewards" or whatever and limit them to 10 per act and only available in the campaign. Go ahead make the 10th drop of each act a unique item and make the last act's unique a choice of a unique weapon for your specific class to take on your first map!

Could even see it on ign...
@@an0mndr I wouldn't put it past them, considering the Black Myth Wukong hit pieces lately.
support gem change is huge, think about how many new unique supports there could be... like, imagine your minion is leaving gas clouds, and you have a minion specialized in to blowing them up with a "Environment Interaction support - 40% more damage with effects from this skill interacting with environment" or something like that. Sicc
keep in mind that most of the support gems lost their damage mods and are entirely utility based/transformative
@@toukoenriaze9870 That would actually be amazing for build diversity.
Alt Summoner mentioned will likely be druid with many animal companions like D2 only expanded and made cooler.
That's nice
"he had to be exaggerating, he had to be pulling a talkative tri" :D love a self aware king
You know it.
Is there any information if they made any changes to respec? In POE, it's super hard to play yourself as a beginner, and if you want to enjoy endgame you're probably forced to follow some guides.
While I want to enjoy the campaign myself and then switch to an endgame build later on following a guide, would be possible?
Orbs of regret are gone, gold is used for respec'ing now
removing coloured socket was a great idea.
Now THIS video contains some amazing insights. PoE2 shapes up to become a true milestone within the ARPG genre. It's not just a simple successor like any of the diablo titles to itself. No, it re-invents itself and it appears to be doing it in a fashion that actually improves the gameplay, rather than changing it for the worse.
With D4s announcements, I had lots of worries and weird feelings (limited skill choice, open world, world bosses, world events, etc...), but EVERYTHING I see and hear from PoE2 doesn't leave me doubtful by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe it's copium, maybe I just have too much faith in Jonathans visions, maybe I'm too much of a fanboy. I don't know. All I know is: it's not november yet... and that sucks.
Man, i always hated socket color and chromatic orbs.
Thanks for uploading such high quality footage. Other footage makes the game look kinda bad. But here we can clearly see how high fidelity the graphics actually are. Makes me want to play it even more after all that cool info I learned about the mechanics, build variety and so on.
What became of the PoE2 ranger that could turn into a werewolf with pack companions?
They teased ascendancies a while back and that was one of the ranger/huntress options.
They've yet to reveal the finished ascendancies. And the Beastmaster was a cat pet ascendancy iirc.
Do we know the requirements for getting into the early access/closed beta of PoE 2 ? Is it a random draw or something different entirely? Edit: I just saw the new video, will look at that chur
Will PoE 2 have automated trading?
Are maps going to be dynamic level scaling because in Poe 1 we all know each tier 1 to 17 monster lvl increases?
Hey Tri, awesome video, thanks for all this amazing content!
It makes me feel like I'm never progressing. I like becoming, eventually, a god and being able to annihilate things. With dynamic scaling, even if it was just in the campaign, it dies.
8 classes and 1 ascendancy each kinda makes me anxious about the release date, I was hoping for ~summer 2025
What about totems?
do we know yet if PoE 2 will be free, like poe 1 is?
Dude your videos are to good to need titles like this : Path of Exile 2: Early Access Will Have...
how to gain an entry to early acces? Still 500+ $?
W8, are you guys sure there's a limit of 1 gem supporting a skill gem? I remember a few years ago the PoE2 socket system was supposed to have extra links gained by skills for levelling the gem up/getting a higher ilvl gem. Did developers confirm they want only 1 support per skill now?
It is still all 6 links, but you can only use a support gem ONCE across your entire character. For example, only one use of Greater Multiple Projectiles Support.
You can't play 2 same character in co-op?
Will we be able to Play the early access on consoles.?
Yes. Everything launches at once.
jeez that game looks unreal im worried about my life already
guild tabs from poe 1 carry over to poe 2 too?
ya
Yeah its mtx, it should just like all stash tabs
Would be nice if they would give you a bonus if your mtx doesnt work in poe 2. Like if its a skill mtx, another mtx of the comparable skill or something.
So only like a year left for those of us not made of money? I hope the entire game isn't all old hat by then. Huge risk with a semi-closed beta/paid early access program for a game that will be F2P -- at least for attracting new players. I play SSF and won't mind buying the game "again", so while it doesn't affect me, that's not how the average consumer will see it. It's a rather strange decision IMO. I do believe they have enough of an invested player base to pretty much ignore that, but I can see plenty of prospective new players being put off by that release strategy....
So cool they removed colored sockets. Much better, much more build variety!
Wait, a big minion archetype...none of the revealed classes...could it be a reworked Animate Guardian for the Templar? It totally is isn't it, please let that be it. Though I will miss the witch's reaper...
this is going to crush d4
Have they covered any coverage or questions about melee combat? Besides monk?
What questions do you need answers to?
@@CCSplinters how the buffs for Melee builds are going to work. Like totems etc have they announced anything like that?
@@shademon0 nope. For melee, we only have monk (movement with attacks) and warrior (heavy hits + stuns + redirect long wind ups) showcase. Probably warcry/totems will be announced with marauder.
@@CCSplinters I hope they do something like the witch minion ui and get rid of having to spam totems all the time. Cuz as it stands right now it feels a bit clunky to me
@@CCSplinters I like the melee / midrange strike gameplay but the totems u have to add to it to be comparable to ranged seems a bit lacking
So coop is only for two players?
Heard in interview with POE2 console director that there will be a grouping up option where co-op pairs can play together online.
Duelist not being at the start of early access is disappointing, it was the one i was looking forward to playing.
Jonathan Rogers as playable class ????
WHAT ABOUT TOTEMS!
what about 6 player coop and that they said, as we didnt get EA in June, at least there will come an Alpha testing for us?! I cant find any information on such things, or im blind, even that is not impossible.
I'm overdosing on hype. PoE2 looks too good.... aaaargh!!!
I can't believe you forgot the mercenary. The coolest class there is. How dare you
The MTX packs are an auto pick up no matter what and im curious if they will double up on the $480 packs LOL? spending $180 every 4 months isn't bad but if its now $360 + $960 for poe 1 + poe 2 annual ones oh boy my wallet is gonna be hurting
I'm also not a fan of dynamic scaling. Hope we make our voice heard.. :D
Does Jonathan regret having Orb of Regret in poe1? Get it? 😂
I’m surprised no one is asking about being able to reset the skill tree? Unless I missed it somewhere…
It costs gold to reset now.
@@TalkativeTrithanks for clarifying. I’ve been wanting to find out.
Squirrels...druids needs squirrels
So you can only do one Increased AoE gem. Thats quite a huge limitation. Very uncharacteeristic for PoE to make these limitations.
They got rid of many things that initialy pushed me out of the game ( colored sockets and links ) , i always said to my brother that it's bad and could be done a lot better , but he's a die hard fan of poe1 and couldn't ever admit to me it was complicated for the sake of being complicated ( my exact words to him) , wonder what he'll say now .
No thief/assassin shadow class? :(
Not for early access it seems!
Not guaranteed at least. Though targeting 8 doesn't mean they won't try for more!
If I recall correctly the Monk is Dex/Int so that segment of the tree will have representation at least.
@@alexsterling5788 I think the monk is str/dex, with the merc being dex/int
Shadow will be in the main game though.
@@Khenal Confirmed that Monk is top right on the passive tree based on gameplay videos from the event. This would put Merc as the Str/Dex option alongside duelist.
now that all sockets in poe 2 are white, why cant they just change all the sockets on poe 1 to white
Socket colors GONE :O :O :O :O
Im not the biggest fan of the way flasks look, i prefer the poe1 flasks they look abit flat now.
Didn’t I hear you say you and wifey are going to couch co-op PoE2?
We will! We did in LA last week :)
@@TalkativeTri So cool. Cannot wait to play with my partner either. What a wholesome thing for them to work hard at bringing back 🙌🏻🙏🏻
consoles kill sacred with Sacred 3 -_-
You can't have the same support more than once? So the "put them in your alt weapon set for training" is gone in POE 2?
Was gone from go, gems don't go into gear anymore, they have their own pane in the UI
There are no alt weapon sets anymore, you get 9 slots and that's it. You could socket uncompatible supports onto spare skills though, so they'd do nothing but still gather XP.

Early Access in November ?!? . I bet Blizzard will kick themself in the Man´s Finest again with the D4 Add on until November. Which will increase the player count for PoE 2😛😝🤪
Nothing about PvP?
Removes chromatic sockets... Keeps wisdom scrolls for rares....
If, as a druid, I cannot ride my bear summon - game is trash, trow it away.
You shouldn't summon a bear as a druid.. you....become the bear.
@@truuuupR I think there are options. at least Jonathan hinted something like this.
only 1 support gem of the same type sounds a little shit tbh
Yeah, makes the whole "everything can be a 6 link now" very underwhelming.
@@Kuzka_ exactly ... :D you will definitely run out of useable support gems that make sense
@@horus666tube But it heavily depends on the amount and type of support gems they add. Maybe there will be some that are very similar. Kinda like greater multiple projectiles and greater valley supports.
Cant wait to spend my Money there instead buying lizzard skins
I am already eating less for Poe2 early access
You should eat more... So that you can go a few days without eating wile playing :)
No rogue how disappointing.
Listened to the interview like 2 days ago tri u gotta be faster
great video. Title still a clickbait
You mean i cant have a poison support gem on every one of my attacks?!
I can only have ONE of the poison support gem attached to me at a time?!
THAT'S AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!
.......PoE2 is going to SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Basically they fixed the stupid coloured socket limitation by completely removing them, GOOD!
And then added a whole new stupid restriction to replace it!!!!!
BAD GGG! VERY BAD!!!!
My guess is you'll get it from items/passive tree. I don't think applying the logic from poe1 will work for poe2
gem staff sound like shit. Like i can`t put min damage to all skills? Just Why?
good lord the cringe one has to endure to get the info in one place.
