One thing to add to the game: testing grounds.
A parallel mode where we can create a new or import any character we've made and make infinite adjustments to it for testing the effects and feel for our chosen paths, then save the skill tree and gear as a guide while we play the actual game. Also included would be the ability to spawn entire groups of monsters/bosses/etc with customizable modifiers, levels, stats, etc so that we can test how our build would work at different points in the game. It would essentially be PoB, but live and testable within the restrictions and interactions programmed into the game as opposed to a third party setup.
It would probably be best to gatekeep this mode to after the campaign was completed and further gatekeep various monsters/bosses/items/abilities to milestone completions throughout the endgame.

Diablo was my love and got me hooked into this type of gaming. D4 story line seriously for me was like a dude dating a hot chick getting serious and she moves away comes back you're hyped to move the relationship to the next level and she comes back Trans. No matter how hard you try to convince yourself the hot chicks in there somewhere. At the end of the day you leave the Trans and move on. D4 sucks, Blizzard sucks. They destroyed an amazing storyline! Honestly D3 story sucked too. Killing Deckard Cane by a mid level sissy butterfly boss? Come on....
I agree with Hawg alot. I'm so over it too. The new expansion for D4 feels like it has potential to actually make the game worth playing again the only problem is its more money to do so. Which is terrible, and it leaves a bad taste in mouth. POE 2 is free and also looking a lot better then anything out there, possibly ever, for a ARPG. Watching these videos from the most positive creater ever gets me so excited for the future of GGG. Thanks Tri.
They’ve literally revealed nothing about the new expansion to assume it will be any different than current day D4.

Poe devs still reference d1/2 and are still true to their vision about it.
Blizz devs reference d1/2 to lure in an older player base to bait n switch, not actually implementing anything regarding said reference.

As a POE1 andy was not hyped at all for POE2 and the split. However, @Talkative Tri is doing one hell of a job hyping me up for POE2. Thanks bud I am actually looking forward to it now.
Really great podcast. I listened to this on my way to work and then on my way back home and it really gets me very optimistic GGG I respect a lot and have high hopes for this game.

This was a great podcast! I love how damn honest Hawg is, it's very refreshing. The others are fake enjoying a polished turd (while getting kickbacks from New Blizzard), and making a big deal of something that was awfully broken with how the loot system was since closed beta, and just before the expansion, they finally "fix" what should have been fixed on Day 1. Yet Druid and Sorc are still boring and broken, and need A LOT of attention. Go figure. PoE 1, even though Necropolis league is not liked by a lot of the PoE community, I believe 3.25, GGG is going to listen and deliver a helluva banger. PoE 2 cannot come out soon enough. 2025, hopefully we see the other 4 classes in PoE 2, and I think they're going to be amazing. I hope you, Hawg, Sylverxyz, and Dreamcore can team up for another podcast, and hopefully with Johnathan Rogers as well! :)

Blizzard is a woke agenda team that are pro DEI, pro woke politics. It's scary that fans still support these wackjobs, thinking D4 will ever be a great product. Blizzard as a whole died when all the original developers of Blizzard North retired, quit the industry, and left to make their own indie sized companies. Rest in peace Blizzard North, Diablo 2 is one of the greatest games ever created. Videogames were so much better before all this woke DEI garbage poisoned the industry. Anyways I'll be supporting the GGG devs when PoE2 releases, they respect the old school mentality of creating quality games.

At first, I thought poe2 could beat Diablo 4 with game completion, but not with recognition. However, recently, Diablo 4's expansion pack trailer has stayed in about 800,000 views, while poe's witch class trailers and console trailers have reached 1 million and 2 million in a row. I feel that the interest of new users is flowing into this community and is gradually growing. Therefore, I think the final result depends on how fun the game is. I hope ggg can appeal poe to new players.
What batle poe2 have more bosses and game play in first act than hole d4. And the last update from d4 where they buff the most broken caracter and dropped the ball on druid and sorcerer. So yea no batle....

At around 28:00 Hog had a great point--Console players really aren't part of the "main" community. I wonder if POE2 will be the game to break down that barrier.

If I'm being honest the console version of poe sucks so much mostly b/c of the market. Everything cost 5-10x than pc and no one is buying it stays up on the market the whole league. You could gear up 3-5 characters on pc for end game before you can gear one character on ps5.
@@roddy864that's because of small playerbases, less people are selling = less resources = higher prices. Crossplay will fix that issue
@@roddy864 Then this would be a great answer--since the market would be shared? I play HCSSF and SC with friends, so I'm a bit divorced from the current market (buying anything on SC just makes me want to make the item myself), but I can definitely see the issues with console scarcity. It just makes me more excited for POE2.
The largest barrier to entry for PoE on console is PoB. Most build guides on UA-cam require PoB. Hawg's videos on PoE, without a build guide, showcase the need for builds.
The only thing that would make PoE2 better, is PoB in the game.
As for witch minions I would like to add: Vampire and lich. Maybe vampires could be a skeleton warrior upgrade and lich could be the mage upgrade somehow. You know what would be cool would be a minion transform support gem. So when you slot it into a skill it transforms the minion into a variation of some kind. Unless they already have a way to transform skills that isn't support gems that I missed?

Vampires/ghouls are born from mortals.
Fantasy has no rules, but some concepts are fundamental.
to be fair PoE 1 already has the most minions out of any game in the genre and PoE 2 adds even more to that i dont rly think they need to spend even more time on that subtype for now 😂luckily the bind spectre skill will allow u to find kinda any style of minion that exists in the game already as a mob they might not be perfectly balanced like proper skill gems but u can definitly find alot of stuff.

Grinding gear games are gamers first and they make games like blizzard used to back when they gave a shit and didn't have corporate overlords. Some people might try to throw in a gotcha statement saying no, you're wrong.They're owned by tencent.
And that's when l inform them that yes kinda, but that deal was only to let 10 cent make a version of Path of exile overseas for the Chinese Market. Trust me, that version has pay to win.
But that was the main reason They wanted to inject money into grinding gear games.They knew how good PoE was and figured.Wow if we could get permission to make our version like a little bit more monetized we would make a fortune. But that has nothing to do with ours. GGG Is essentially regarding our version of the games a independent developer.
So they report to themselves and no one else. Which is why the game is so good.
Remember back when blizzard said the game will come out when it's done.
Grinding gear games took that Approach.
Since blizzard has long since Had that Mind set when developing games thanks to Activision Turning that company into bobby's world.
I think the beautiful thing about separating the games is that if say now, POE 2 is souls-like... Players can just play the new POE 1 league instead! I was also kinda upset but then it all made sense. Both POE 1 & 2 enjoyer's will benefit with this

No, no, no.The Stagger bar is not what you think see in POE1.
There was no way to freeze most of the bosses. They had to give them free immunity because the way that freeze worked in POE1. Made it kind of o p and broken if you could do it to bosses So the reason that they changed to using a stagger bar type system is because now you can actually do things like stun bosses and freeze bosses you just have to build up to it. So it's actually a really good system because it Actually gives us other ways to deal with bosses.That we really couldn't do Before add so much more playability to a build Instead of.
Oh, you either need to tank all the damage or just have so much damage that you killed them before they can kill.You can Actually play it almost like a dark souls game. It looks so fun. For once i'm excited about other types of builds besides like only ranged and only minions

Never thought of D4 as a competitor, but Last Epoch is up there and im excited for both. Blizzard should make movies or shows cause thei Cinematics are way better then there gameplay.
Biggest draw for me is making (mostly) anything from any starting class. Definitely making a ranged mercenary/summoner on launch. Love that classes are just a framework and not a path you have to be dragged along to end game.

I love diablo lore, story and premise. It just kinda sucks its left to people that have no idea really what it is they are actually doing and are figuring it out as they go.
What troubles me and keeps me from trying POE is 2 things:
1) the free to play model
2) i might like it and what that means with a free to play model.
Thats as serious and honest as i can possibly be with it.
And ofc Tencent... that doesnt scream "consumer friendly" as most know.
I have a theory and it might be more coming from hope then logic, I think there is no way someone at GGG would "let it slip" I also think they won't release the beta at the same time as POE league, with a league dropping late July and late November if they are sticking to 4 month leagues. In recent interviews Johnathan implied its coming together faster now they are closer to the end, I could easily see them surprising everyone with a September drop. Heres hoping, Very excited.
I'm sure they want everyone to think that they may not have what it takes to make melee great... and then BOOM!!! Showcase duelist. To me, monk has reassured everyone that they got this. But the bleed demons have yet to be shown.

I play poe on pc and on ps5 but some on my friends only have a ps5 so I usually play the hard mode version of the game. So I usually play poe on the ps5. So I'm really really glad the devs are focusing on console too.
I want to play a necro with a bunch of those flaming pigs that explode and call it the Bacon-Bomber.
If i had to bring minions into poe 2 i would want a class based around constructs. Like a subclass from the merc.

I did, Hawg, and I was still right about D4 being shit lol you know how I knew? I knew D4 would be bad because Blizzard was making it.
And as for Tri’s concern about performance, GGG mentioned that the Wildwood from the last league is a good benchmark, as that’s all pretty much PoE2 assets, and was designed to be good enough to work in PoE 2. So if your performance didn’t tank in the Viridian Wildwood, then that’s what you can expect

Well, the performance in the wildwood was absolutely OK, the issues ocured when u left wood and faced 2 abyss spires with double beyond with 3 additional projectiles 😅 pair that with headhunter tornado shot build .. that lagged even on 10K$$ pc setup
I thought id give D4 at least a chance when the beta came out, didnt finish the beta got kinda boring and wasnt that amused but i thought the full game would offer so much more. nope pretty much still the beta from what i watched others play.

I don't think any of us can truly say anything bad about PoE 2 because we just don't know, but I'm sure there is something to say about credibility and the trust that's been built over the years, and whether that trust has been broken or not. Which I feel GGG and PoE have been better than others. The trust that has been built on over the last decade, where in that same decade, others have thrown away and continue to throw away things like several decades of building trust and brand loyalty for a quick dollar.
The very fact that the console people feels like they are "left out" because it's a smaller community indicates that it's not a good game for consoles. And if you make sacrifices for that, the game is going to be worse!
You realize poe one was made by 2 guys in a garage right? Let them cook and fix the console stuff with poe 2.

I wouldn't sweat it. D4 devs are likely going to triple down on the player experience being stun locked by a 2400 rated 3s team with 1 shot mechanics floating around that are the exact same color as the ground.

@@IMPERIUS. I’d love to like D4 but it is just a shallow dull grind of a game. Glad they are trying to improve it but it was definitely the last time Blizzard scams me out of money. At least 4,000 hours played between d1 / d3. Nothing would make me happier game related than for D4 to bring me another 1,000 hours but it barely got me 100 since launch, and even some of that time I regret.

I really hope the item crafting is similar to undecember. You can literally craft the perfect item for your build depending on if you have the materials to use. For a mobile game it honestly is the closest arpg I've ever played that really made me feel like I'm playing path of exile.

Generally, i would love to see PoE being a bit originale when it comes to minions. Like, undead, holy and nature summons. Its like, every game has that in some form. I would love to see them adding other ideas for summons. Kind of like Titans Quest was trying to be originale with the "Dream" class. Minions being able to controll other enemies or minions.A general psychic theme. Or whatever, just an example. In general other ideas besides the traditionel. Not limited to minions.
I wish each class would have at least a male and female version and some light character edits so we all don't look the same
