its a no hassle policy that encourages people to get a user licens for whatever material they want to use. the reason behind it is to prevent 1: intelectual property theft and 2: protect people from getting falsly charged by compaies. because a contract is involved theres no problems and no scamming which is far better than whatever happens in the west where anybody can claim anything and youtube just folds and getting your shit sorted out takes forever.

Subaru's understanding of English genuinely surprised me! I didn't realize she had such solid knowledge of English that she could freely translate some simple sentences without reading them out loud. Pretty amazing!

Japan has really strict copyright laws, any unauthorized usage of music/art/voices by companies can lead to lawsuits. However this game is made outside of Japan and legalized by their country's Copyright laws so the girls are safe. Some of their earlier streams/videos DID have to get deleted prior to the Copyright incident of Hololive, if you haven't followed Hololive for long.
Japanese copyright/IP law is much different from US law, and references as explicit as the ones in this game would be treading close to falling under Japanese law. US law (which applies to this game, of course), is much more lenient on the matter of parody.
