The carter 3 deserves an album reaction, it's a classic 🔥
Ok so here’s the rare backstory no one knows except older Wayne fans such as myself. Jay-Z retired after he made the Black album. Wayne started blowing up and stated in a song that he was “The best rapper alive, since the best rapper retired” Jay-Z came back after saying he retired and came out with a song called “Show Me What You Got”. Wayne came out with a mixtape called Drought 3 and he rapped on that particular song but called it “Dough Is What I Got.” That song earned Jay-Z’s respect for Wayne as a lyrical genius bc he murdered that song. Shortly after Wayne dropped Carter II and started being featured on everybody songs whether it was a hook or a verse, he killed it. He wasn’t playing when he said he was next after Jay retired and proved it. Gained Jay respect and you just witness their song together that was all about mutual respect for one another. When you listen to any of Wayne mixtape songs that’s a Jay-Z original song, he always kills it. It’s like he always wanted to prove himself to Jay-Z bc he has the ultimate respect for him. There’s even a true story about Jay-Z trying to sign Wayne to his record label at one point.

I feel like you should just review all of Tha Carter III from Lil Wayne. It’s arguably his best album of all time. Love the videos lately though man. Keep it up!🙌
Also that last verse at the end is Wayne rapping the first verse on Jay-Z’s song, “Lucky Me.” That’s his favorite Jay-Z verse and he even had it tattooed on him on his leg I believe.
