    "Scribble out them rhymes you were going to spit and start over from scratch and write new ones". KNOX!!! Em is referencing when Kanye had written his verse for a track with Em, Kanye heard what em was gonna spit, then canceled 2 days worth of appointments and interviews to rewrite his own verse to try and keep up with Em. Absolute genius. Em also calls out to Kanye in a few other tracks in his recovery because Em understands the scrutiny that comes with healing yourself. Em monopolizes but recognizes talent and shows respect. I will listen to Em even if he raps at 100 years old. In his 50s now and still rapping like he is hungry. Thanks for the content KNOX, bless

Also his collab with Yelawolf on Bestfriend was one of my favorite verses from him and also two completely different styles but fit together perfect on the right track. Eminem is good for being able to jump on anything and stand out though. Even though he seems to do everything his way but at the same time he can flip so much to fit on a beat and blend with another artist. Idk I am rambling now 😂 It made me think and type what I was thinking. Sorry this is a novel. Lol.

    I think it's because on the same album in "talking to myself" he talks about how he almost made a track dissing Wayne. So people were just guessing that he was subdissing Wayne a few tracks later.

    This song, or rather Em's verse on this song is what made me the Stan I am. When I needed a boost, Em came with this. As a non-native speaker it was easy to understand what he was saying. The way he made the flow be something I was almost affraid to breath during.
    That day in 2011 was the day I had found what keeps me going still.

    Everyone I listen to an Em song I make sure I’m in a room alone and listen for boy or entendres double and triple meaning bars and if there’s current events or history in the bars, listen only by ear 4-6 lines at a time then rewind and read the lyrics, then after I here the same 4-6 lines again I rewind in one more time not for the lyrics but just for the the sound of him the boot rhythm and flow and here when I punches drags out a syllable or consent while also listening if he’s rhyming the first middle or end of a word. It will take my 20-30 minutes to get through a 4 min Em song if I’m trying to break it down. I try to catch all I can on my own then I come to this channel for all the stuff I missed. I’ve gotten better at catching things from my process and this channel. It’s helped me to have a better ear for lyricists and MCs vs rappers and it’s helped me right my poems and lyrics. I don’t rap very good but in my head when I read it it’s sounds great. It’s a hobby of mine that hard af but I enjoy the hell out of it

    When I first heard this, it was progressively just hyping me up more, I remember that
    I heard Weezy's verse, and I was stumped and had no idea on how Em could possibly top that, I thought he would get killed on his own song.
    And then came EM with his, and WOW. He did something I didn't think he could, one of his BEST verses.
    Doing better than Weezy in his PRIME is almost impossible, and their verses go so well together. Just,

    I love this song. And my favorite line is actually "my bars are full of broken bottles and my night stands are full of open bibles". That paints such a strong picture in my head! Some book-authors manage to do that with just a few words as well, and Wayne is a master of condensed meaning.
    I used to think Wayne's verse was a bit short but I always liked it. just thought it pales a little against Eminem's. But the longer I listen to this song, the more I think it's perfect and it might even top (for me, personally) Eminem's. Not so much technically, but in the way he uses words. He's a word-painter.

    • @frizzlethecat2084
      @frizzlethecat2084 3 роки тому +2

      BTW, never really noticed the moments where Wayne doubles Eminem in his verse. I think it's because those lines (you'll never take my pride, for example, but all the others too) work for him just as much as for Eminem.
