Heck no. No way would I touch any of this. It's such a slap in the face for her to think she is giving us some kind of "deal" on fabulous skincare. I just ignore all these celebrities coming out with this sort of thing. Do they think we are stupid? I am perfectly happy with my Cerave, Neutrogena and Eurcerin thank you.
She doesn’t even use these products herself. Dr Dray is right it’s nothing more than a cash grab. Celeb skincare lines are the most disingenuous thing on the market. But her braindead fans will buy it anyway
Rihanna's skincare line flopped. Hyram's skincare partnership sizzled out and now he's received backlash and isn't really popular anymore with skincare... This will be the same
I completely agree with you and I would not buy anything from her or her sister and those cosmetics. I don’t trust their brands and research behind it. I also prefer to stick to CERAVE and VANICREAM. They are reliable and affordable.

I took your advise and kept applying the Cerave Healing Ointment onto the areas and everyone was happily surprised how quickly I healed without any scars. Thank goodness I follow your common sense advise. You save me every time money wise and self care wise. Thank you!!
@Jasmina Yup and if you want that seaweed extract you can always just use it with The Ordinary's Marine Hyaluronic serum or buy one of Pond's moisturizer that comes in bigger size.
And with the amount of treatment they get consistently through their lives! A Selling skincare as if it's enough > when they rely on doctors continuously

And the irony is you know she doesn't use her on products because she's been all over the place claiming to have psoriasis. I'd be willing to bet she's under the care of a dermatologist and uses Cetaphil or some cheap bullshit. LOL
Cash grab 100%. Years ago I decided to listen to beauty gurus and "treat" myself for my bday by buying Creme De la Mer. That was one of the worst investments and I've not purchased expensive skincare since. I find that people are still hooked on expensive products and buy into fake claims and nonsense. Her brand will probably do well for a few months, she will have some influencers reviewing it but don't see this working long term. People will go back to their usual expensive luxury skincare or skin care that actually works. Thank you Dr Dray for your no nonsense approach to skincare.
I got a free sample of la mer once for a promotion. It was so greasy and not spreadable. I’m still unsure if the product was expired, or if that’s just the consistency.
I’ve found the most difference in my skin has been from using 1-2 kbeauty toners! they actually put stuff in them that are beneficial and I use Krave Beauty’s exfoliation it’s gentle in your skin and it’s for all ages these things i use daily never skip the rest is up in the air but i use Cerave and K beauty faithfully.
The price alone is a big no for me. The Kardashian’s and Jenner’s can just slap their name on any product (even if it’s crap) and it will still sell. I’m not buying into it though 😂
She'd probably pay people to go on TikTok to say something like "oh, this has transformed my skin, so luxurious, blahblah".. And the same (rich) people who believe these tiktok BS would buy it. 🤷 Buutt, (sorry pun intended), if she comes up with a cream that can plump up your booties then maybe that could pique some people's interest, lol.
I really think that consumers have begun to become more conscious about what they're purchasing, in terms of ingredients and efficacy; I think they're more likely to purchase a line developed by a dermatologist rather than a celebrity nowadays...these shills may have worked 10 years ago but consumers have become smart and a whole wealth of knowledge is at our fingertips
I agree with your point but dermatologists and cosmetic formulators are still behind the development of celebrity endorsed lines. Kim definitely didn't make these products.
@@klashstar7 very true, but how many times have you seen an ingredient like "small fir tree extract from an exotic plant in Brazil" which has little to no evidence regarding efficacy, being marketed in celebrities' products? I'm not sure if this line has anything like that, but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibilities
There is no reason to hate skincare lines or brands that aren't launched by a derm or esthetician, but at the same time, a celeb skincare line is worthless to me, when there are so many derm/esthetician skincare lines or tried and true derma brands or small indie brands with better philisophy and price points.
@@avmist159 I'd be fine with small fir tree extract from Brazil in my skincare product if the brand was actually Brazilian 😂 if not it's just a marketting ploy
“You’re paying for the experience.” Spot on! And sometimes it’s okay to spend more on things for the experience. However, I stopped using unnecessary stuff about 2.5 years ago when I found Dr. Dray’s channel and my skin looks better than ever. I seriously doubt her interest in developing skin care, seems like a cash grab to me. ’ve never purchased any of the Kardashian’s stuff, I don’t like what they stand for, the perpetuation of unrealistic body images and objectification of women. Not for me. Thank you, next.
Yes. They all have huge self esteem issues and slice and dice their bodies because of it. Tons of women view them as the be all, end all, and that a crying shame. And there is the fact that they all Hollar for the Dollar. HARD PASS
Good Morning Dr Dray! I think I won’t be purchasing from this skin care line, I’m a heavy believer in making skin care that is affordable for all!! And I definitely can’t trust a celebrity who has access to all sorts of different skin care regimens/ procedures that people who aren’t so rich don’t have access to! Thank you for always fact checking these products! I used to really think I NEEDED vitamin c, you have taught me so much! 😊🙏🏻
There lies the rub. Very often we (consumers) believe that the camera ready skin comes from products only when in fact a lot of time in the dermatologists office and spas also play an important role. I can say this from experience. It was working with an experienced derm that helped along with specific type of facials, diet and recommended products (that my derm did not sell).
Does anyone still talk about any of the other celebrity skin care brands that have launched in the last couple of years? Off the top of my head, there was one from Ellen DeGeneres, something from Hailey Bieber, some DNA skin care line with Vanessa Hudgins, J-Lo's line, Goop Beauty and the one from Pharrel Williams. I think the market is becoming oversaturated and why would I spend so much for any of these when I can put together a good skin care routine for a lot less.
She has been my skin influencer for 4 years now❤. I follow a simple skin regimen like her and use products she has recommended. She hasn't failed me yet.
Agree this will fade!! Won't last! Anyone who's look from head to toe is based on cosmetic surgery results has no right to promote less sell skin care! This is my opinion. Appreciate Dr.dray keep it real!
Cosmetic procedures are not a substitute for skincare. You don't go get fillers or botox and then not moisturise your face until the next appointment,or get mircrodermabrasion once a week instead of washing your face daily. You can enhance your features all you want with procedures or surgery but that alone will never give you great skin. The ignorance 🤦🏼♀️
Thank you doc for sharing the controversy surrounding the name of the brand as both SKKN+ and SKN by Lori Harvey are both companies by women of color. And the owner of SKKN+ is actually by estheticians.
This is so overpriced. Her makeup brand was decently priced so I expected this to be at the same price point. There is already so many good skincare on the market and I am not interested in another celebrity brand
The Kardashians have a history of being greedy with there companies & compromising the quality of the product to pocket the money. People can sense that. Her makeup was the same; that’s why it’s not as successful as Fenty or Rare beauty
“If you are spending $350 on sodium hyaluronate we need to talk” lmao!!! 😂😂😂 great video Dr Dray! Thx! I dont need Kim’s skincare line, all I need is a simple cleanser a good sunscreen & my tretinoin
Kylie Jenner has a skincare line too. The public keeps them billionaires. Kim K….. if that is who we trust for our skincare….. I’ll wing it! 😂 You are so professional and can keep a straight face talking about Kim’s $700 skincare line. Thank you for your information! Non partisan….❤️❤️❤️. Give them a run for their money and launch your own skincare line. 👍🏻❤️
Here is the test: Kim will need to convince people that she now relies most heavily on her products for her skincare. I remember when someone else launched a skincare line and was quoted in a very popular magazine naming the products that kept their skin so nice and never mentioned their own ish!!! LOL
Yep she is already trying to pull that crap in her new skkn videos … so hilarious. Someone who’s been on Retin-A her whole adult life trying to say NOW her skins great cause of *these* groundbreaking ingredients 😂
I find this a bit pointless. I think we need to be less gullible as consumers, celebrities are simply selling us products they don't 100% care for that have been designed to be marketable to a large consumer base. That should be obvious. For someone who relies on their apperance for their job like Kim, it would be like saying we need proof that a chef only eats their own recipies. Of course Kim uses other products and has extensive, probably state of the art cosmetic fillers and enhancements. No shiz. The real kicker is her admitting the line is not a replacement for the 100s of thousands she's spent on cosmetic surgery and enhancements, but even that is obvious. Just don't buy into consumerism and stick with affordable dermatologist approved skin care !!
@@dandelion5410 I never said that Kim needed to convince people that she "only" uses her line. I said heavily relies on it. I would not expect for her to stop receiving or indulging in any of the procedures/treatments that she likely uses. In fact, Dr. Dray pointed out that the line is missing a key element... sunscreen. I hope that this is something that KK uses on the daily. I do not mind if the line turns out to be a cash cow that lasts ages. I like seeing women make their money. I do, however, believe that Cindy Crawford uses her line (even if, like Kim, still makes those hard-to-get appointments with Dr. Sebagh). She seems more credible because she has not peddled 85768396746474765 other things.
My first impression is honestly that the packaging is kind of a turn off for me personally. Maybe I'm not her demographic (I'm more of a Stylevana/ medium-priced Sephora customer), but I really can't see myself excited to grab an opaque cement-coloured bottle to apply my morning moisturizer. I wonder why her team chose such a dreary aesthetic!
I actually like the packaging. It's pretty minimalistic and kinda fits with Kim's "nude" makeup and outfit choices. But would I try her products? Nope. Well if she releases sunscreen maybe. Also, think Kim lost the chance to make her packaging made of paper. That would have been something unique along with the aesthetic. Also, SKKN by Kim is hella similar to SKKN+. Typical Kardashian shady tactic. ALSO, has anyone else noticed that SKKN by Kim's font/typography is kinda similar to Weleda's?
If she, or any other celebrity, wants us to believe the efficacy of their products I may be influenced to buy their claims if: A) they provide information on all their procedures, skin care, skin care tools, etc B) they use only the products they promote C) produce unretouched bare skin photos and D) unbiased testing proof of product claims The people I trust are not super wealthy celebrities but real people who provide all this information. Great video, Dr Dray. XO
@@kathleenem9207 Yes..I(sadly) agree. Dr Dray and Angie at Hot and Flashy on You Tube have educated me and shown honest information. I so appreciate them!
I vote cash grab … I don’t think wealthy people who are willing to spend that level on cosmetics will ever want to downgrade to Kim Kardashian skin care from whatever their current expensive premium line is.
Dr. Dray you have school me so much that i don't just run to buy any product I'm so much wiser now days thanks to you! and i never even bother to look at any products these celebrities promote or sale.
I feel like this is just a fun hobby for her to start another business using her name. Whatever money she makes from this, would have been nice if she donates part of the proceed towards some good cause. Let’s be honest, face lift is what will make you look at KK, not her skincare : ).
Thank you for addressing this. I have used some expensive brands in the past and actually prefer the less expensive brands, Cetafil, Eucerine , Neutrogena, cerave and Aveeno thanks to your advice. 😊
The fact that people are allowed to get away with this is in the name of "business" is evident of just how low down we as a species can be by simply lacking respect for others. "Treat others the way that you would want to be treated" is the foundation in which we as an evolved species SHOULD build on. Thank you Dr. D as always for a truthful and informative reality check!
I am a faithful follower of your channel. You have literally saved my skin. For that, thank you. I will say, however, that I watched only a few minutes of this particular video because of one reason only- I wouldn’t buy anything from any Kardashian even if they said it could save my life. Kim, a woman peddling makeup and skin lotions when she’s had every cosmetic and body enhancement procedure offered and has never appeared in a photo that hasn’t been photoshopped. And she wants women to believe her stuff works wonders?
Kim’s shapewear was such a hit because it’s very on brand. Kim is definitely known for her shape. But is she known for her skin? Not really. I won’t be buying this, but let’s be real I can’t even afford to if I wanted it!
I do think Kim doing skincare does make sense since her whole key to fame is her beauty which skincare plays a part, but I ultimately agree that her brand will fizzle out.
When Fentyskin came out with their 3 products I bought the set, enjoyed the products and never bought them again. They were great, it’s just that I found others that were cheaper and worked better, so I guess I played a part of that “launch success” back then, but this time around I definitely won’y
I'm tired of celebrities that have no idea what they're doing put their name on a product and think we're all going to jump to buy it. A famous name is nothing if the product is crap. The price is ridiculous too. I wish more people would turn to people like you when trying to navigate the confusing world of skin care. They would save a lot of money and they'd have happy, healthy skin. Thanks for your honest opinion on this line. Happy Monday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a fantastic evening. 💖
I don't have my faith in her line to begin with. Common, a hyaluronic acid serum, seriously? Don't we have millions gazillions of them already? I'd be very surprised if there's the ascorbic acid in her serum. I'm inclined to think it will be one of its stabilized forms. And, before I spend $90+ on her Vit C, I'll buy one from the SkinCeuticals, it's a gold standard of the industry and comes very highly recommended by people I trust. So, I will not buy one single thing from her offering. I have my true favorites and I'm past buying the package
Most brands fall into this category. The namesakes typically hire or employ a team; are hired by a company to be the face/name of their brand. Very rarely is the person whose name is on the bottle is in the lab working feverishly on a formula. Nope... they care about the final product (maybe with a few specifications) and the money in the bank!
Not surprised KK came out with her own line. Like Dr Dray am also surprised it took so long. I have no interest in the Kardashians or this skincare line.
Hi, Dr. Dray! This line is definitely a hard pass for me. :) I pay a lot for skincare, but for names like Skinceuticals, Neocutis, Skinmedica, Osmosis, etc., not another KK vanity project. But on the subject of hyaluronic acid, have you done a video about it as an ingredient in makeup? I recently saw a comment that said all foundation products should have hyaluronic acid in them. Since typically we wouldn't top our foundations or skin tints with another occlusive layer, wouldn't including it in makeup be counter-productive and tend to dry the skin?
L' Oréal has launched it and they can' t stop repeating " OMG WOW!!! A VIRAL PHENOMENON IN THE USA!!!" so, get ready for the invasion 🤦🏻♀️... Best foundation ever? A gorgeus skin with tinted sunscreen and powder sunscreen to set it. 🤫😉 Let them waste the money... 🧛🏻♀️🖤
I'm so fed up of celebrities coming out with a skin care line. It's like one starts and the others follow. They just slap their name on something knowing fans will purchase blindly. I will never and have never bought any celebrity anything for this reason. Especially any Kardashian.
"you can grow an empire with all that hyaluronic acid" 🤣 I don't know if it's just me, but I like Dr Dray's sense of humour a lot. I've been watching this channel for a long time, she's definitely more funny and sarcastic now than ever, in a good way of coz. Tell me if I m not alone 🤣🤣🤣
Never, never, never underestimate Kimberly K and the power that she has over the masses! While the market is oversaturated, I believe she will have her place in it. Look at what she did with her makeup line and the shapewear line. I will wait to see what happens when it goes live. I am intrigued like I think many people will be.
I don’t think people especially her audience is naive when it comes to skincare, people are willing to experiment with makeup/perfume but definitely not with skincare, most people tend to stick to the same products that have worked for them in the past.
Thanks Dr. Dray for your down to earth, practical and no nonsense advice!! I bought a bottle of Gold Bond Pure Moisture lotion a while back, and have fallen in LOVE! I not only use it on my body, but on my face in the AM under my sunscreen and make up. I love the way it feels. It has a wonderful texture and goes on very smoothly. I don't remember the price, but the 14 oz bottle was under $10.00 usd. You can't beat that! I have also used Ceremedix moisturizer/body lotion and love that too.
I think your prediction was very accurate. 7 months later, I don't see many reviews for this line, and hardly anyone talking about it on Reddit and elsewhere.
Not to mention when brands choose their price range, they’re also choosing their consumers, because no ordinary person has the money to buy her products.
no commoner at the least youd have to be at least a well off middle class/upper middle class to be able to buy stuff from this price point and these upper middle class people could be pretty ordinary.... you don't have to be broke to be considered ordinary...
Yah... I'm good with my $30 skin care routine,it's a hard HELL NO FOR ME!!!on the other hand if you,DR.DRAY would come out with a skin care line ,I would be all over it!!!!HAPPY Monday to all!!
I love it how you are so down to earth, so honest, and so professional with your comments. Wow $90 for a serum there’s no way I’m paying that even though I love skin care products! I agree with you 💯!
Only people obsessed with her, which tend to be younger people, will most likely pay that. She isn't going to have anything in her products that isn't already on the market so folks will be paying for packaging (which is stupid) and her branding, which again, is stupid. Cerave, Cetaphil and products like LaRoche Posey are there for the taking and they are reasonably priced and readily available. I'm not gullible enough to buy her products and pad her wallet even more..... she doesn't need my money!
I bought it all simply to see if it’s any better than what I already use (which is all drugstore.) I’m curious to see what happens so I can give a genuine, unbiased opinion. Though I don’t expect to be blown away.
Thanks for another great video. I think all people who are serious about skin care should have an SPF product in their ranges. I wouldn't go near this pompous, overpriced celebrity line from someone who is fake, and vain to the point of obsession. Also, the name is an ethical issue, she should have been original.
The thing about people falling for this hype of skin care is people look at Kim Kardashian's face NOT knowing her face is filled with fillers, botox and everything else that has plumped her face out and think "oh if her skincare can make me look like her".... Sad people will fall for this.
Skincare is vital, breaking the bank for skincare products is not necessary! Why coat the pocketbooks of a celebrity? Keep it in your own pocketbook! Thanks Dr. Dray!
As someone who provides evidenced-based, scientific explanations about skin care, I was surprised to watch you provide your thoughts about SKKN before it’s release. It didn’t sound like you had been sent the line. Did you have a list of all the bottles and the ingredients? Your channel is normally a place we would hear what is exactly contained in products that’s unnecessary, detrimental or beneficial rather than conjectures (e.g., asking us to comment on what type of Vitamin C we think the serum contains) or just complaints about the ingredient’s price tag value. I hope you review the products in a future video, either from a list of product ingredients or the products themselves. This is the best part of what you do. Thanks!
I always steer clear of celebrity products too expensive too much perfume and also the packaging is probably most of the cost let's face it they are only interested in making ££££££ 🙏
It's like innisfree and Isntree in Korea. I use both lines and love them but a lot of people think they're the same thing. And you know Kardashian's lawyers did that intentionally to steal market space. I tend to stay away from celebrity skin care and beauty products because in my experience you're paying for the name and the products suck
I have never/will never shell out any amount of money to end up in that family's pockets! I can't stand them & cannot understand for the life of me why people are so enthralled with them! 😒
Out of touch with reality. She’s solely targeting the very rich. It’s insulting to charge prices like that when there are so many quality products for way less.
She's not targeting the very rich. They also know they can go to a dermatologist and get botox every other week. She's going after the people who will spend money they don't have in order to look rich
I am soooo over the kardashians 🤮 I feel like I'm constantly being invaded by one of them. I will never buy any of their products. I love my QV sensitive skin care. You don't need all these ridiculous gimmicky things 🙄🤯
I like KK, but when she was interviewed about her skin care line, she gave no details except for the beautiful packaging. I knew then I wouldn't try it. She didnt know too much about it. I need a DR DRAY skincare line for mature skin!!! Now THAT I would buy all the time!
Dr dray is correct about exfoliation. We really don’t need exfoliation that much. I have acne prone and oily skin and I only use BHA which is a perfect exfoliation for me. I do whenever I need to do but never go crazy about it. I use 2% BHA 3 times in week and my skin is all set.💗
For me personally I struggled with acne and bad skin. I was using so many products that were on high end and let me tell you I do not use any of that stuff anymore and I use more natural products and only three products for my skin. Also supplements and eating healthy is key for good skin!
This made me smile. So glad you called this for what it is. I have never, nor will I ever, understand what the draw is about this disfunctional family. They have no special skills or talent to offer society. From what I can tell, their claim to fame is standing around getting their picture taken in so much make up and body shaping, that no one can tell what they really look like. The media should not give them the time of day. It's very bad for young girls' self images. Can you guess that I wouldn't wear her "skin care" if she gave it to me?
Hello Dr. Dray - thank you so much for this video. Honestly , I would never purchase any type of products launched by actors, like JLo, Kardatians, period. I am more interested in products that have provided me results and that are cost effective for my budget. And like you said, if people have found their skin care products and are happy with them why would they change to hers, I know I would not at all. Anyway, thank you for your videos they are so informative.
I'd much rather spend my money on Skinceuticals and the likes. Someone also mentioned, she's not known for her skin so it's not something majority will jump for. Maybe just her loyal fans and those not clued up in skincare and buy into the hype not realizing it's more expensive for no reason
Dr Dray, thank you for being my *constant and providing my night-time-routine listen every evening. You can talk about anything, random stuff -I don't care, just continue doing what you do 🥰
Dr Dray I really enjoyed this video! Especially towards the end, I love how you keep it real I honestly do 😂 I actually laughed out loud at your reaction to the hyaluronic acid serum, it’s very difficult not to get pulled into the marketing but your videos are always a reminder that it’s all just nonsense and a waste of money! Thank you!

HARD PASS
It seems like celebrity skincare lines are the new version of celebrity perfumes.
Exactly
Makeup lines are more suitable for them. Leave the skincare line alone 🙏
id rather them perfume and makeup or fashion than skincare. no hate theyre free to do what they want but seriously 😅😂
It is a hefty price point
This 💯❤️
Not to mention photo shop
JLos just disappeared off the map lmao.
Alicia Keyes has one too I’ve seen at Ulta.
Hailey Bieber’s hasn’t come out yet soooo 😂
Ellen also had a skincare line?? This is news to me!
@@anaisdaniels1211 just dropped today!
I want a Dr.Dray skincare line with a few brilliant tinted/non tinted mineral sunscreens! 😍
Dr Dray should be the example of a real influencer on social media apart from being a dermatologist! Love the work she does for her subscribers
She has been my skin influencer for 4 years now❤. I follow a simple skin regimen like her and use products she has recommended.
She hasn't failed me yet.
Kim Kardashian been my influencer and she hasen't dissapointment meso far and i believe she won't do it just for 600 dlls
Agree this will fade!! Won't last! Anyone who's look from head to toe is based on cosmetic surgery results has no right to promote less sell skin care! This is my opinion. Appreciate Dr.dray keep it real!
💯
👌👌 Indeed
Cosmetic procedures are not a substitute for skincare. You don't go get fillers or botox and then not moisturise your face until the next appointment,or get mircrodermabrasion once a week instead of washing your face daily. You can enhance your features all you want with procedures or surgery but that alone will never give you great skin. The ignorance 🤦🏼♀️
💯!! My point exactly.
Thank you doc for sharing the controversy surrounding the name of the brand as both SKKN+ and SKN by Lori Harvey are both companies by women of color. And the owner of SKKN+ is actually by estheticians.
💙
Incredulous and shameful …..and NO SPF says it ALL 🥺
This is so overpriced.
SHE doesn't even use this crap🤣
What about KKW back then?
Now that she’s been on Vogue and modelled for luxury designers, she’s moving on up 🤪
Amen. I have never brought a celebrity skin products. I don't trust celebrities to know about my skin.
LOL
Yeah, in this regard she should've just mentioned her surgeons and botox esteticians 😅
Yep she is already trying to pull that crap in her new skkn videos … so hilarious. Someone who’s been on Retin-A her whole adult life trying to say NOW her skins great cause of *these* groundbreaking ingredients 😂
Well on her show they do
I find this a bit pointless.
The aesthetics are in keeping with her perfume brand.
That's what I thought! Those slabs of cement in the promo pix were such a turn-off. Just gray, dry, unappealing...
it's super brutalist! unique and interesting but definitely unappealing for its purpose
I actually love the product aesthetic 🙈 but I’ve always been a minimalist and super into neutrals
If she, or any other celebrity, wants us to believe the efficacy of their products I may be influenced to buy their claims if:
A) they provide information on all their procedures, skin care, skin care tools, etc
B) they use only the products they promote
C) produce unretouched bare skin photos and
D) unbiased testing proof of product claims
The people I trust are not super wealthy celebrities but real people who provide all this information. Great video, Dr Dray. XO
Everything after the word “if” in your comment will never happen. So no- I won’t be purchasing either.
@@kathleenem9207 Yes..I(sadly) agree. Dr Dray and Angie at Hot and Flashy on You Tube have educated me and shown honest information. I so appreciate them!
She litterally posted a pic immediately after with Dr. Ghavhami renowed surgeon for a skin tightening laser procedure. I was baffled
I vote cash grab … I don’t think wealthy people who are willing to spend that level on cosmetics will ever want to downgrade to Kim Kardashian skin care from whatever their current expensive premium line is.
That' s why they are wealthy!
I agree if you want luxury goods why would you buy a Kardashian product. No thanks
What are the odds that all these celeb skin care brands would go away if people just ignored them?
They need to go away along with the word celebrity itself!!
Greetings d b hope u r well n Happy Monday😀👍💜….
Exactly what we just needed. Another skin care product by a reality star.
Dr. Dray my bank account thanks you
Kim’s shapewear was such a hit because it’s very on brand. Kim is definitely known for her shape. But is she known for her skin? Not really. I won’t be buying this, but let’s be real I can’t even afford to if I wanted it!
I'd argue in addition to being on brand, it worked because it was a relatively unique concept, especially from a mainstream person.
And she stole that idea from Sarah Blakely a true innovator.
@@msk-qp6fn for a celebrity maybe but Sara Blakely innovated this and she up until she stole a lot of her ideas.....praised Spanx
I do think Kim doing skincare does make sense since her whole key to fame is her beauty which skincare plays a part, but I ultimately agree that her brand will fizzle out.
Funny how KK swears by her products but is treated (and said that she uses their products) by Dr Diamond and Dr Ourian
😆
The gesture you made after saying "her financial backing" had me dead 😂☠😂☠ . . I love you for that!! 😂😂
I have my true favorites and I'm past buying the package
and skinceuticals is actually dr dray recommended so why go for any other product if you're gonna splurge right?
This is why I love you Dr. Dray! Always clear, concise and honest. 😘
always think it’s funny when a person like this has an entire skin care line named after them, and they did absolutely nothing to formulate it lol
😆
And has BOTOX N FILLERS!!
It’s the perks of being famous I guess lol
Most brands fall into this category. The namesakes typically hire or employ a team; are hired by a company to be the face/name of their brand. Very rarely is the person whose name is on the bottle is in the lab working feverishly on a formula. Nope... they care about the final product (maybe with a few specifications) and the money in the bank!
I'm more annoyed in her lack of creativity in the naming of her brands. I don't know why people like her and have made her enormously wealthy.
She has said that how effective HA is in products is based on the formulation.
Dr. Dray’s talk is a theraphy for me. Therapeutic yet very informative.
Not alone
Never, never, never underestimate Kimberly K and the power that she has over the masses! While the market is oversaturated, I believe she will have her place in it. Look at what she did with her makeup line and the shapewear line. I will wait to see what happens when it goes live. I am intrigued like I think many people will be.
I don’t think people especially her audience is naive when it comes to skincare, people are willing to experiment with makeup/perfume but definitely not with skincare, most people tend to stick to the same products that have worked for them in the past.
I can’t imagine putting 9 products on my face.. one product alone has like 100 different ingredients, my skin would hate me!!
It is a lot
I recently saw someone do a 20 step routine so nine doesn't sound too crazy after that...
@@db-gb5xi that seems so unnecessary
I saw her sisters skincare routine. It had a lot of steps. She had one of those rollers with tiny needles on it for her face… no thank you.
@@db-gb5xi Omg people are still doing these?! I thought that trend died out...
This is definitely a skincare tea time! I can’t wait for more tea spilled by Dr Dray 🔥
If I never heard "Kardashian" again in my lifetime..it would definitely be a cure for 'skincrawl'..lol🙃😂👍
I think your prediction was very accurate. 7 months later, I don't see many reviews for this line, and hardly anyone talking about it on Reddit and elsewhere.
Ohhh yesss definitely looking forward to this!
Thanks for watching
Not to mention when brands choose their price range, they’re also choosing their consumers, because no ordinary person has the money to buy her products.
no commoner at the least
youd have to be at least a well off middle class/upper middle class to be able to buy stuff from this price point
and these upper middle class people could be pretty ordinary....
you don't have to be broke to be considered ordinary...
Would love a follow-up on this I'm so curious what you think of the formulations!!! Love your videos!
Overpriced & Overhyped , there are better products at your local Wallgreens for a fraction of the price
YAY Queen! Thank you for this video x

Thanks for another great video. I think all people who are serious about skin care should have an SPF product in their ranges. I wouldn't go near this pompous, overpriced celebrity line from someone who is fake, and vain to the point of obsession. Also, the name is an ethical issue, she should have been original.
Yes ,all of this....FRRR
The thing about people falling for this hype of skin care is people look at Kim Kardashian's face NOT knowing her face is filled with fillers, botox and everything else that has plumped her face out and think "oh if her skincare can make me look like her".... Sad people will fall for this.

As well as all kinds of other professional treatments (prescriptions, lasers, etc)
Skincare is vital, breaking the bank for skincare products is not necessary! Why coat the pocketbooks of a celebrity? Keep it in your own pocketbook! Thanks Dr. Dray!
The only place that will appreciate this is the dr dray community. One of my local state parks has added free sunscreen dispensers throughout the park
Thanks!
Well, this isn’t exactly a review video…
Watching😉because it’s a Dr.Dray video, not giving my 💰 to a Kardashian.
Thanks for watching
Yay!!! I've been waiting for your take on this Dr. Dray! 💜💜💜
Out of touch with reality. She’s solely targeting the very rich. It’s insulting to charge prices like that when there are so many quality products for way less.
Greetings Frances Kennedy hope u r well n Happy Monday😀👍💜….
No way I would plunk down the bucks for any of these products. No chance.
I really appreciate your integrity and authenticity, Dr. Dray.
Happy Monday, Dr. Dray ☀️🤍🌸🎀👒😊
Happy Monday!! Have a Fantastic Day, and Week!!🌷🎀🌷🎀🌷

You can talk about anything, random stuff -I don't care, just continue doing what you do 🥰
They are relying on the Kardashian brand to justify such ridiculous price points
Dr Dray cuts straight to the details. I love and appreciate videos that don't chatter on and on, before the meat and potatoes. Thank you Dr Dray!
Your laugh at 4:22 is wayyy too cute and contagious😍🤟🏻 thanks for the video explanations
Thank you!
Hard pass. I’d like to think consumers are getting smarter, in part because of high quality, accessible education from Dr Dray.
100% not interested in another Kardashian product. To date, I’ve spent zero dollars on anything Kardashian, and have never watched their show. I do not get the hype 🤷🏻♀️
Love your videos Dr Dray! I never miss one! ❤️
I love it when real practitioners/experts like Dr. Dray and other real professionals in their fields call out people with scientific reasons and receipts 💅🏻😂 thanks Dr. Dray!!
You CANNOT beat the fabulous toners from k-beauty they are fantastic!
Thank you for the critique of SKKN. The name deal is typical for a kardashian product leap frogging off of something else. The price is $$$$$
Tired of Everybody dropping a skincare line. If you bring nothing revolutionary, spend these resources in something else, that Will actually make a difference. How many Hyaluronic acids do we really need?
Dr Dre when are you coming out with skincare? Thats what we’re all waiting for
I'm happy with my Vichy, La roche posay and N7 products. Thank you Kim🙏🏻
Happy Monday!

Dr Dray you are awesome, so true and right to point. It’s not affordable for all. It’s not for everybody let’s start there.
Me personally, Imma stick with CeraVe and Vanicream and Dr. Dray's recommendations. Thank you for another sensible video.
I was thinking the same thing Doc when you said she doesn't care about the price. You nailed it.
Thanks, Love ♥️
LH is Lori Harvey, famous comedian Steve Harvey's daughter, who came out with her line first with that name, Kim & her staff should have definitely researched more in depth about her name..IMO
2nd thing - I pay less for botox than Kim's line, I find great deals on Groupon! lol haha
Savage ! You are the most articulated influencer , one to be followed too
Kim has enough money to have to be able to design a budget skincare line with amazing results, from woman to women and still earn money, now that would have been smart, in the meanwhile I stick with Ordinary, CeraVe and oils, cheerio!
I just love your honesty! Good video
