    It was very well done but would have liked to see how you sewed the bag together. To see how the zipper looks once in. You may have another tutorial I haven't seen. This is my first time seeing your videos.
    Thank you!

      I was thinking the same thing. I am also new to her channel. It was an excellent video and I can't wait to try it but I am trying to work out in my mind what happens when you close up the bag. Do i need to cut the tails off? Does it make a bulky seam? Obviously not, because her bags are gorgeous, but I am a bit confused. I will keep searching for a link showing the finishing of the pouch.

    Like so many new sewers, I find zippers challenging. I generally sew only for myself, so the zipper doesn't need to be beautifully placed; it should just be functional. From now on, I can get my zipper perfectly placed AND functional. THANK YOU. I hit subscribe, and now I am heading over to get the pattern for the pouch with the clear pocket. I got some vinyl last week that I have been itching to try. 😁💗💗

    Talk about being well timed, this popped up in my recommended listing 😹😹. I am making myself a peg bag with a zipped cover as I’m fed up with the baskets letting spiders living in with the pegs, in the UK I would never worry about them, but here in Australia there are just way too many poisons spiders specially the red back spider some of them make you really sick but some of them can actually kill you when bitten. That’s just one of the many deadly spiders in this country 😩😩
    I have to put the zipper in so there are no gaps and this method is perfect for my zipper, this will get the zipper right up to the side seam and with a cover flap over the edge it will vanish very nicely 😹😹thank you for sharing ❤❤

    I assume you don't put a tab on both ends because it allows you to open zipper a bit further? If not why? Also then why not make both ends like the folded end so they match? Everyone does it the way you do and I am just wondering why. I tend to make my zippers a half inch longer and put tabs on both ends to keep it neat..

    • @RosiesArtStudio
      @RosiesArtStudio  Рік тому +2

      Folding down the top of the zippers helps to open the bag a little wider. It is a very popular way of installing a zipper. There is no advantage to folding the zipper on the opposite end as it will not make the bag open wider and there needs to be a zipper stop which is the purpose of the zipper tab. Thanks for watching!

    If you are putting a tab on one end, why not just go ahead and put a tab on both ends? Or why not do this fold down trick on both ends?
