I think dots new album was going to be all those unreleased diss tracks. He dropped 4 and had 5 more. I think he was going to drop a all diss album towards drake. But once drake called it off, everything changed. If not a album, hopefully he can do features. Or drop a all westside dedicated album ft the ppl from the concert.

He has made great songs since, but no albums ha been overall good. Revival outside a few songs is horrible, i agree with that. Release is very bloated, but for me is a really great album. Its easily one of Eminems most creative album. I actually really like that one. Relapse is 100 timers better than every single album he has made since mmlp2.

They are factoring in everything, including and beyond skills: impact, business moves, hits, etc. There is NO ONE who can be listed above Jay and Dot on a full rubric - both of them can get bested on one or two metrics, but best all around?? Nah fam
In my personal bias ranking he's number one. All time he's probably 15-20, but it's hard to rank across generations of hip hop. In his generation he's top ten, I think.

Nas has been my Goat up until about 2017 once Dot put together 3 straight masterclass classics that can all sit with illmatic had to move him to spot #2
As for Jay he’ll never be above biggie on my rankings so that leaves him around 6ish
Illmatic is a classic but heavily overrated. It’s not a pure work of art. But it’s a heavily influential album and is definitely great. In no way can you compare that album technically to TPAB or DAMN
