Reason dope I just think the industry doesn’t appreciates these type of artist anymore. Kdot is established, J Cole is established it’s plenty of lyrical artists that are not getting the proper recognition.

Reason fought for his last album to be released and then it came out and I see why a label wouldn’t want to release it. Bro has an identity crisis musically. That whole album was bad/unnecessary skits and him doing his best rendition of mad other artists. Bro music has stagnated so early in his career.

I think it’s a solid project worth listening. I will say the tape feels like two separate EPs put together and has a bit of a “song for everyone” type feel

Tbh TDE should of never signed anyone else. Sza is successful but it doesn't feel like a team/group since her and Isaiah was added. It's just a label that artist look at to get in for clout

I liked his last album was pretty solid
Porches was cool
Def has tracks I like going back to, and he has good chemistry with the other TDE artists
I do have to agree with the fans when they say his style fits more with Dreamville than TDE. At the same time I do think on that label he just wasn’t the stand out artist more so a good rapper. At this point I think Reason is better off staying independent and creating his own label. I kind of feel signing to Dreamville would be pointless at this moment of his career his identity was already established with TDE, he’s been out since 2018, plus I think if he signed to Dreamville you would be paying out the label you are signed with and them and I really just don’t think we would see a great increase in record sales for Reason. For him I think being signed to one label or just going independent would be in his best interest and this point of his career.

He's not "done done," but if he couldn't pop at TDE, his chances of doing it elsewhere are slim and none. My guess is, he'll be forced to go the indie route, get distribution by a company like Empire. If he hustles and floods tge streets with music, he can carve out a lane in tge LA underground. Guys like G. Perico, Jay Worthy, 2Eleven and T.F. are out here eating, and ain't none of them close to platinum, or being signed to a major label.
