- The Armstrong Foils High Aspect (HA) 925 combines agility, pumping, and speed as a hydrofoil for foil surfing in the ocean and behind the boat. The Half-Life crew, together with Sky Rama (Instagram @sky.rama) put the wing to the test. After filming was done we tested the HA925 on the wing foil and behind the boat for wake foiling. Finally got 2 sessions on the 925, coming from 1550V2. 60cm, chopped 200V 0.5 shim in fresh water. What a thrilling ride! So sporty and reactive with incredible efficient glide. Pitch control is a lot more sensitive but that’s where the thrill part shines. The more I rode the better all aspects became. Second session was on 60L (I’m 90kg) and that was even better

Could not stop looking at the mast base, Is there a new mast base coming out? the base screws look like there in the middle of the mast :O

How far off the tail you running the mast with 60 fuse?

Thanks for the heads up re the HA 925. In the Armstrong range of boards is a there a prone foil board? I;m 6 4 an 205 lbs and looking into getting into this craziness.

To answer your question above - yes - Armstrong does make prone boards -- they call them "WS" wing/surf. The right size will depend upon your paddle strength and waves but odds are that the WS410 will be the right prone board for you. Look forward to hearing from you.

I think you mean the HA925 has a HIGHER stall speed relative to the HA1125 not LOWER stall speed!

What is the wing size?

@@HALFLIFEVIDEO hey, love the vids. I’m looking at HA 925, vs 1125. I’m 190# and wing mostly with 1550 and 200V. Just starting on prone surf. Sometimes kite on 1050. Going to Puerto Rico for all above. Should I get 925 straight away? Or 1125 first?

@@salvino777 I’d imagine that at 190lbs, the 1125 would be a better wing for your weight. Kiting you should have no problem with the 925 tho! Curious to hear what your experience with either the 925 or 1125 have been
Is Sky riding the 4’5”?.
Sky is riding the 4.0 - 27 liter vs 4.5 34 liter. Sky finally let me try that foil. Works great on both boards!
I have ridden on both boards. Definitely less swing weight with the 4.0 and pumps like the devil with the reduced size and weight. You have to work harder paddling the smaller board and (for me 185lbs) you have to arch your back more on the 27liter as it sinks deeper into the water.
Gives you more incentive to pump vs paddle!
New Armstrong boards have a great feel and are really dialed in for a production board.
@@johnanderson4561 thanks Johnny,I’ve got a 4’11” FG on order with the idea of having it for Winging on stronger days and for proning if I want to do any.We tow and wake foil mostly and I have a 3’11” for that which is my go to board and just love it.We have a full range of wings etc. and are looking forward to a demo on the HA925.
