" It is what it is" one of the best phrases. You do your best n roll with the punches. It's hard to give a shit when other people don't. You have high standards. I love it! And all the videos you put up. Thanks for giving a shit Gunman!
Great video Gunny, I like that it's a longer episode as for me it's more engaging seeing the complete job from start to finish whilst in the booth, I think some of the problem with the quality falling in professional occupations is down to the unrealistic deadlines the bosses put on the workers, when I was working I was an injection and vacuum moulder my job was solely making the exterior panels for MRI scanners which had to be completely spotless, I had to spray the mould with a matting agent then the gelcoat then the mould was closed and injected with the right type of resin the vacuum type had to be laid up with glass fibre first, the deadlines put on me was at times un-doable so quality had to suffer.
Thank you for making these raw videos again. I paint myself all day long, but something about watching someone else do it is relaxing 😂
Is because you are chilling while he is working my friend LOL. I have been doing cars on the side for years and still learning but my main job is painting airplane parts and I have 3 guns that I got thanks The Gun Man top 10 video.
Same here
Gunny ,hallwys in hight performance , y...pe .
You 'are the " top man" keep on going ,let cut chase ,let's paint some bloody f.... sheet
Michael .......out.
Good tip gunny about spraying bonnet on the outside first.. Something most people wouldn't think about 👍
Always great to watch a pro at work.
7:14 it was a freezing cold winters day
Come on now, It was probably 20C 😂
Like the way you paint and clear !
good job
Beautiful job thank you for sharing!😎
Another great Raw video keep them coming
As for time management, and making it that personal goal to see if you can get it all done during crunch time, a good boss will notice that. I got caught a few times at the end of the week being that 1-2 small job short of a "perfect" week, and the boss didn't get down my neck about it, he realized that the best effort was made, and any delays at that point were out of my hand. If I was griping wednesday about the work load and dragging me feet, and bitching again thursday and dragging my feet, than being 5 jobs short friday, you bet your ass the boss would be down my throat. But putting in that honest effort goes so far with a boss that truly sees it.
Gunmannnnnnnn flg5 for life! Direct glossing my Monte Carlo atm 🤘🏻
Best of luck man, shoot some video for us!
Take some videos before and after than, if your nervous when people are watching :P
Very good!
Hell yea brother that gun is definitely on the to bye list. Killa long raw vid mate 👊
Gunman I don't even work on cars or paint them ..But I love your videos brother..Something satisfying about watching clear go on .
I try to do my job as good as possible in the time that i get for it no doubt you guys make good quality work in australia but i am surprised you guys still have to do all your bodywork and prep work on the floor in most european country's you have hoists so you don't have to bust up your back and knees for 50 years . Painting is still done on the floor/grates but wacking a coat of paint doesn't take ages
Awesome work as always
Perfect 👌 job
Lovin the raw videos bro and sweet job man!!!
A few of the older painters I know have the "Concrete retirement plan" meaning that when they hit the concrete they retire (Work until they die) It scared the hell out of me
nice video
HOLA GUNMAN WHEN HE MAKES A VIDEO WITH THE NEW SAGOLA 4600 Trophy Truck
Nice gunny, paying a bit more $ for small little things like good quality tape can be so worth it when you don’t have to spend an hour cleaning off overspray on a tricky part of the car. 😎
Great video as usual! I dare ya to try a microfiber for a tac rag...it will change your life 😉
Hey gunman have you see the new ANI red/black 200 limited? Let's get one for a review! Cheers 🤙
Gd job brother
I think the decline in quality of work has a lot to do with the labor rate the insurance company’s are willing to pay the area I’m in the body labor rate is $55 per hour with most tech’s making $20 per hour it’s really hard to hire on a qualified technician at rate. Keep in mind most other automotive labor rates like mechanical are $80-175.
Hi gunny-seeing you just switched your prolite to 1.4-where is your material setting ending up? I've done the same with upol 2:1 clear-like the 1.4 much better. I'm using way less paint as well.
Muy buen trabajo , la cinta violeta en Argentina no existe jaja.
Saludos!
Question!
Why pearl white paint defect on polyester body filler .yellowing?
Your base system is it solvent or water now
What spray gun ,psi, and nozzle size are you using for sealer?I always seem to run my sealer or it ends up having dry patches .
🙋 Darek. POLAND
👍
So for the bumper, you mixed primer sealer with plastic bumper primer which allowed you to skip the sanding process?
It's a specific additive, I still scuff them but it gives adhesion to raw plastic
I still believe you guys hold a higher standard than us here in Canada, but the trade has been falling off. I've seen it, I keep hearing about it. I keep seeing small guys bought out. This trade is going into a strange place.
Colour code ?
What is the name of the plastic cutting tool you use that you keep in your pocket?
Colad blade, most of the time theres a link in the description. Just hit up any of his main channels videos and it'll be there
@@LukeIsGod Thank you Sir!
Hi Gunny, what device did you use at 44:00 ?
This kind of thing www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/index.php/iwata-aquadry-paint-dryer-gun.html#sthash.Rr9fNppa.dpbs
Which one with you gun is the Best for first for amator paint
Pro lite
Flg5 $130ish no need to go pro lite twice the monies 💰
A pro-lite kit will give you 2-3 needles and 2-3 air caps, huge bang for buck.
Overkill and unnecessary for a beginner
Nonsense. First gun I got. Let me play with 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4, and a few caps to figure out what worked for me. It's a versatile gun that will do it all. Can't go wrong
Puedes hablar en español please!!
Basecoat with 2k hardener??????
Yupp, check your TDS sheets for that one ☝🏼
@@PnwOnTour yeah I did man.
Never heard of anyone doing this over 20 years so I'm assuming it's a brand to brand thing.
Which brands do you use?
I noticed about three years ago in a matrix tech sheet, increased durability etc.
@@PnwOnTour ahhh ok man....interesting to know ...thanks for the info.all the best to you
Colour code NH700M.
I agree gunny as a mechanic... all people care about is the bottom dollar... sad
I hate these cars. Nice work as always.
Pls answer me to resolve my problem

Standard of work has dropped because insurance companies won't pay for the labor to do anything. He in rhode island USA they only pay like $40 an hour for body work but yet they'll pay 100+ for mechanical labor. Bottom line is nobody wants to pay to have their shit fixed so people cut corners..
