Hey Brian! Question. I'm doing diy repair. I'm at stage at I need to scuff up the existing clear coat for some blending. Hence why I'm eating up a lot of ur vids. And why I'm here. Tell me when we scuff the surrounding repair we essentially are just scratching that existing clear however not scratching it deep enough or coarse enough to remove it? The point is essentially to create coarse surface for new color or paint to adhere to? Cuz actually tonite I already did this to my 2008 Hyundai Elantra I also have metallic blue so other video u used 800 grit and that what I used. So I should be good to go for coloring yea? U know the repair part is already primed and sanded not professionally but I sanded it with both 400 and 600. That said basically just wash the area super meticlously and than color time. And clear after. The blend ought to be only 1 coat right cuz the clear is what will bring that already paint color in the surface back to life...
amazing finish. I'm pleased to see outdoors end result! I'm impressed I was thinking it was lexus from the rear bumper cover and the swage line of the rear reflectors.... haha Nice work Brian!

Thank you. Much cleaner this way!!!
Wow I’ve seen every color out there hundreds of times. I’ve never had to go through so much and waste so much time on one job. With ICI now Nexa. I giving away my age now or envirobase.
Just when I blend the front pass door I aim base to the back cover only 20%
2nd coat aim gun straight covering 30% of that front passenger door
3rd coat aim base gun slightly father away control coat aim gun to the front of the car
Covering 40% of the door
Not sure if that makes sense to you guys but everyone has their way
When checking shut the lights off and use sun light gun or something close to it
my brain when watching this: "copy those movements!"
finesse is all.
Thanks! Keep learning
nice job, but should have primed the whole door.

Thanks!
very nice your are used under coat im also painter in japan in 5years until now..
Hey Brian!
I'm impressed I was thinking it was lexus from the rear bumper cover and the swage line of the rear reflectors.... haha
Nice work Brian!
Great video great blending nice job Brian love watching your work and the music was pretty cool to not bad the only thing I couldn’t really hear the spraygun but that’s OK Great job all in all looked amazing🤙🎶🎶🎶🎶
i am commenting very late because i watched it today nice and good job thank for detail information about blending the paint job thank gays
V good painters v hard to find, liked the mask off for base on one door, save over spray NICE
At Zenzo here in South Africa.I think BRIAN is the best painter in the world.
I'm a painter at a collision repair body shop. I started as a detailer and parts gatherer So most of my knowledge is just what I have learned over time from working there. I have never taped off my blend panel from sealer/color coverage. Am I wrong for that??
What music is that at 4:00 mins??? Good stuff! ....anyhow.....enjoyed watchng this one....as with all of em! Great job! Great channel.
Its just flawless ! 👌🏻👌🏻
Great job really, but i have a question please, what is the clear base that u put before base coat, is it a simple thinner ? Or something else ? Thank u
I love your work. What air pressure did you use for clearing?
