I like it when you go off topic in your vids Gunny 🤷♂️ sometimes you drop bits of knowledge on paint systems amongst other things that I might not of known otherwise 👍
Its heartbreaking to see your homeland burning up. Prayers and thoughts for all of you, man. The whole world is going crazy these days, but your videos actually help keep my kids distracted from everything going on, so thank you as well bro. I hope those fires are brought under control and there is no further loss of life, wildlife included. Much love
So glad you talked me into purchasing this gun a couple years ago. I’ve only used it a few times but the quality of my work comes out amazing! Feel like a pro after I’m done. That also has to do with watching your videos and your recommended settings of course. I honestly feel like your the best painter on UA-cam! 😉✊🏻🙏🏻 Thanks again!
thanks for the pressure setting info gunny. I just bought one of these from sprayguns direct on your recommendation. I got the 1.4 and also bought the 1.8 needle and cap cost around $280 aussie with postage for anyone interested and delivered in 4 days.
Sorry just wondering why you would need a 1.8 ?? Or a 1.4 ... just be careful spraying since it’s a bigger tip.. up ur speed and pressure so it doesn’t spit chunks of material on you and get a run
Bought myself one of these 6months ago off your recommendation and I'm really pleased with the finishes I've been achieving spraying in my garage as a hobby not as a professional I've only ever used the cheapest spray guns Chinese knock offs and since I've switched to this I've found I'm not needing to colour sand and buff to get a half decent finish actually managed to get a good enough finish to leave them straight from the gun. Highly recommended 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Been following you for years mate. Finally pulled the trigger on an flg-5 and it arrived today. Hanging to get stuck into it. Appreciate the videos dude keep them coming. I have no idea how you smash that clear on like you do! Incredible
I bought this spraygun a month ago, because of your first top 10 video. It had a good price compared to other guns. It costed 144 british pounds, transportation cost included. To be honest i got really happy when this video popped ud after 5 years, and you said you think the FLG5 is still relevant 😁. Cheers Gunman!
Painted my truck today, and you’re right, no matter how hard I try, there’s gonna be enough trash, I will have to flat and buff. But after watching a lot of your videos, my paint work has really gotten better. Now I need a positive pressure booth. Pretty damn flat/slick for this old man.
I bought a FLG5 a month ago for when I paint a restoration I'm doing in my shed, I chose it from watching your reviews and painting videos. I hope I get half as good a finnish as you show in this video. Thanks for the time, effort, advice and content you put into your videos.

I bought this gun from the UK and had it shipped to the USA based on your recommendation. Im a DIY'r and its a great gun. Thanks for putting out this kind of information!
When Gunman recommended a Devilbiss gun to viewers a few years ago i bought it off Ebay, I made leaps and bounds in a short period of time and using it made me feel somewhat professional, my spray jobs turned out very nice and made spraying easy, but then you soon realize a specialized spray booth would make a big difference for highest quality paint finish.
Thankyou gunman I have bought several paint guns on your recommendations and im getting pro level finishes and thankyou for adding your gun settings that is a great help,
I struggled for decades with the wrong hvlp spray guns, smaller air compressors, and improper technique. Lots of wet sanding and buffing. Enter the Gunman, Devilbiss GPI and Iwata Bellaria . Jaw dropping results ! 👍😍
Happy New Year Gunman. I bought this gun on your recommendation a few years ago and am very happy with it. Keep up the good work and excellent presentations.
I painted some fenders and set my $40 gun to 30psi for both base and clear. Didn’t really know what to set it at. And ur right, I would be disappointed if I didn’t need to wet sand. I like it but I’m pretty sure I’ll eventually get sick of wet sanding clear. I’m guessing when you don’t have to wet sand after spraying anymore that means you’ve arrived
I'm working on a project atm and it's a nightmare but after laying on the primer it's not as bad now from the body work I did I could have done it a bit better but the person I'm doing it for is helping and you know it's not perfect but it will look nice when I'm finished. All because they bought the hype and feel like their skills are great but their toy "tool" was the failure point. Nice work gunny!!
I have an flg-5, a gti pro lite, and a cheap primer gun. I run them off a 3.5 hp 100 litre compressor, with 10mm hose through a wall regulator/filter set at 70psi. Each gun has a water filter and pressure gauge/regulator. Connect the gti or the cheap gun and I get a stable 2 bar pressure at the gun. Connect the flg-5 and it drops to just over 1 bar. Is this normal, or is there something up with the flg-5? I've tried swapping the regulators with the same result. Banging my head, need someone to confirm if they get the same.
Great video, ... I just ordered one of these guns, been spraying with my Iwata with Quartz Liquid Glass but I am having to use a lot of PSI to get a nice flat coat.
