Thank you for sharing your vegan soap demo and recipe with us.Thank you also for speaking slowly and taking your time through the steps. What a beautiful soap it is!
I LOVE that you use colloidal oatmeal in each recipe, my husband and our daughter have skin issues as well as my best friend’s daughter which somewhat spurred my soap making and in my research I found how absolutely amazing the colloidal oatmeal is! I love the recipe and design of this one as well ❤️ Beautiful! I would Love to try that red clay! I always use kaolin mostly to help hold scent but have wanted to experiment with others for natural color etc. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you again for your wonderful videos. Your soaps are always so beautiful. I am new in the soap making hobby. I have a question about the Coconut Oil. Which tule is best for soap making “ unrefined or Refined “ cold process or Expelled Pressed “. Thank you
@@EllenRuthSoap I see. I did put the numbers in the soap calculator. It used 38 percent water. Did you go down to 25 percent? Thanks for your help. I like a water discount, too. In this recipe you are substituting all the water with aloe juice?
Hi Hellen, thank you very much for the video! The colores are amazing!!! Can you please tell me where is the Red Reef Australian Clay from, so I can purchase one for myself please?...
These are lovely! I’ve been thinking about making my own soaps and I’m a vegan so I would love to try this. Is there anything you would change to use this soap as a Yoni soap? Is it safe AND “gentle” enough for that area? Thanks in advance. This video is from a couple years back, so I hope your still responding to questions. Thanks again!
I am a new soap maker and don't have an essential oils yet. Just fragrance oils. Would it be okay to substitute fragrance oil for essential oil? If so, how much should I use for this amount and will the scent stay around over time? I'm sorry for my new questions. I've been experimenting with soap for a few weeks but still haven't come up with a really great go to recipe. The bubbly and cleansing properties of coconut oil (with the 20% superfat that I'm still not totally sure how works), really appeals to me. Edit: Sorry, I had two more questions. Did you freeze your aloe water first or use it room temp? Wondering if working at room temp with 100% coconut oil soap would help it slow tracing?
Welcome to soap making! Each fragrance and essential oil has a different usage rate, so it's always good to look it up and figure out the %. I keep my aloe in the fridge, so it's cold not frozen, and I do soap at room temp or close usually between 70-90 degrees
Thanks! I get it from my local Walmart, it comes in gallon jugs: www.walmart.com/ip/Fruit-of-the-Earth-Aloe-Vera-Juice-Original-128-Fl-Oz-1-Count/10314798
Hi Ellen ☺️ I thought 100% coconut oil had to be cut within a few hours or use single silicone molds... how long did you wait? Thank you, I love that clay ❤️🧼🐾
I need a quality shaving soap for highly sensitive skin. I simply can not use commercial product due to the amounts of garbage in them. I have no preference to smell as usually smell is a foreign substance that causes problems. I must shave daily and my skin gets very irritated in the dry months. Do you make something that could help me or can you offer advice? I've tried farmers market soaps and it's hit or miss even by the same vendor. Pleas help?

2 questions, Is Aloe Extract the same as/or close to Aloe Juice? Can Aloe Juice be used instead of Aloe Extract? I'm making beard oil. Having a hard time trying to find Aloe Extract and if I do find it, it's so expensive.
I made 900 gram of coconut oil and kaolin clay soap ,297 gm of water and 200 gm of lye.(soap cal) My soap solidified in 4hrs only and was very hard .When I forced cut it, soap crumbled. Please help what I did wrong.?
@@thesoapalchemy8208 For a 100% coconut, I suggest a super fat of 20%. I know that sounds high, but it's really a good finish. That may help with the crumbling.?...

I love 100% coconut oil soap.
That Red Reef clay looks really luxuriant! ❤️
It’s a really pretty color, and very easy to work with too
I added my denim blue directly to my lye water and it turned out beautiful.
good to know, I"ll have to try that!
I said Crafters Choice (which I do buy from), but I meant Soaper's Choice for the bulk oils... Just to clarify.
