I had this spaceship toy in the late 70's called the Starbird Avenger, and looking back on it, I suppose it may have had gay potential with the phallic shape it had, but I didn't care then or now.
Had the six wheeled tank apc thing . Did not come with an action figure. I just used Star Wars figures with it. Knew another kid that had the car and plane. I don’t think his had action figures either. Up until this video I did not know the vehicles actually had their own figures 🤷🏻♂️. Anyway I thought it was awesome, but the windshield plastic was very brittle at the hinge point.
I never got figures with these space ships ... they were always just piled up bottom shelf of the local pharmacy with giant skoal and mountain dew nascar cars
I'll just add this ,... the gayest toy I ever had was when I asked my mom for a Talking G.I.Joe and she brought home a brand new Ken Doll just for me . Totally gay .
I guess the one "gay" toy I ever owned as a kid was a Rainbow Brite doll, because you know rainbows? And her horse Starlite had rainbow hair. And her sidekick was a sprite named Twink. I think it was short for "Twinkle", but still.
The whole video I was trying to establish a clear definition of what constitutes a "gay" toy and I think that it is sort of a campy, fantastical imitation of something that's already popular. But there were other gay toys as well, such as Husky helpers, which a toddler from the early to mid 80s might remember. Those were gay in their own sort of way.
Also known as American Plastics or a similar name. They made a big giant tour bus, it was MASSIVE and came in red, white, and blue from the one example I ever saw. Been lookin' for one ever since and it's as if the one I saw was the only one ever made or something.
It's a shame that the Gay toys went the way of the dildo. I mean the dodo. I like the simple vehicles that they produced. There was an older gay gentleman that my sister knew from work and he collected and sold alot of vintage items. He had a nice little collection of the Gay toys. He had a really good sense of humor. Good guy. R.I.P., Randy This is totally different, but the only thing I've got is a skull pencil sharpener in the box with a price tag that says "The Gay Dolphin" :) Thanks for the video
The only gay toy I had was The Tin man from Wizard of Oz that someone gave me for Christmas when I was around 7 or 8. The tin man had gay lips, but a cool ax.
Gay Toys was a processed plastic toy company...they were similar to the processed plastic toys of Amloid and Tim-mee Toys, who were famous for making plastic army men..
While it wasn't quite the General Lee, Processed Plastic made a plain orange Charger (clearly meant to be a legally-safe nod) that looked great *and* was absolutely massive. Also, in addition to the spaceship and rover and big six-wheeler, Laser Force also had a boat--which I have seen on ebay exactly twice in my entire life--and the F-15 Turbohawk helicopter, which I have seen exactly once.
I still have the 2 remote control Corvette cars that my uncle from NY gave me in the early 80s. I don't remember the brand though but it was scaled just the same as that General Lee. Ah memories.
i was a little kid in the 1980s and I definitely remember the old Gay toy company where I had the sci fi vehicle with the red see through glass covering. I even had another vehicle was was a spaceship or a low ground car vehicle. Man i miss those
I quit drinking in 2014, but I'm tempted to get a bottle of Jack tomorrow and take a drink everytime you say "gay toys". It's only a little over four minutes long. I would be so fu*ked up in four minutes, that I couldn't scratch my ass with a handful of fish hooks. Hell, for that matter I probably wouldn't last 2 minutes. There is a whole lot of "gay toys" in this one JM. Thanks for what you do. Sorry, I'm a broke ass, but I do enjoy your channel and have for a few years now.
I had a Trans Am/Knight Rider type car similar to that General Lee. All black with a gold bird decal on the hood. Wonder if Gay Toys made that. I also had the Kenner one so I launched the Gay Toys (?) one off the roof my house and it disintegrated when it hit the ground!
@@tomcruisenukedmyaccount5388 As I recall it was a pretty accurate Trans Am. Found a bin full of them at the local Best Department Store in the early 80s and my mom got me one.
Lol I don't even remember any of those but I had Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, KISS, and Hot Wheels. Oh and some old green army men and tanks. I was more I to music, sports and riding my bike. Oh and crawfishin
I had the space ship from the line. I used it with my gijoes. It didn't come with a action figure. Didnt know they came with figures. I got it at Circus World toy store in my local mall. Kaybee toys bought out Circus World in the late 80s.
I had a few of the Laser Force vehicles back in the 80's. They were very well made. The figures were on the cheap side and I really didn't care for them. The Spaceship, Tank, Rover and the Boat were pretty cool. Still have them in my collection. Fast forward 3 decades... Thanks to e-bay, I now have a bunch of EACH one in my collection. Also I have that boxset pictured at the 1:40 mark. Love this line! I also produce repro vinyl decals for the each vehicle in the Laser Force line.
We had the laser force plane and car. I never really used the figures because I just felt they were dumb and useless other than for an easy death of a soldier. I used them with my star wars and gi joe figures because they fit in them great. The plane was cool because it put me in mind of the snow speeder with the pilot facing forward and gunner facing behind. Plus, it had skis as landing gear so it seemed as a good fit for the snow speeder. I'm pretty sure we still have them. Hours upon hours of playtime with those for sure. The car was typically used as a fancy ride for cantina creatures set up.
My closet had a few Gay toys in it along with my Joes and Star Wars stuff. I had a big closet and I would play with my toys in there, but sometimes I would take them out of the closet and play with my Gay toys right in my front yard.
Gay toys prices hurt my ass😂
Well. . . Thats one way to out the entire lot of a comment section I guess? Nice to see everyone admit it - finally!
Gay toys also has a ford pinto style general Lee . I have it 🤣🤣🤣
I have a General that is a Maverick with 10 on the door. I dont know if it is a Gay, but it is the right kind of cheap.

We need to bring that word back. Gay. Yep, as a kid "Gay" equaled lame. Nothing wrong with it.
I experimented with gay toys as a kid
I was just thinking that you left He-Man off the thumbnail. This video went in a very different direction than I thought.
The 80s cartoon sadly made He-Man a gay icon.
I'm gay and loved he-man!!😂😂😂😂
Damn those toys are Gay!
None of my toys would go near those Gay ones . All the Gay ones had to play with themselves .
This is the best gay video I have seen all day.

This is the play value Analog Toys loves.
I remember having the space jet but that's about it. There was cheap jets that could be used for G.I. Joe but I'm not sure what brand they were.
I had that General Lee!! From the cheap toy aisle at Kmart. Also had a black and a red Trans Am.
I use regular GI Joe's when I had vehicles like that I was playing with the same damn things
Cuz your a G.i.A.Y. JOEk.

They also made a General Lee type Pinto hatchback.
Lots of gay toys. Literally. Any Disney IP including Star Wars and Marvel. For girls and gays.
I had princess of power dolls
I got a bunch of them on clearance . Just because they looked cool and were cheap .
