This is an awesome story adn thank you for sharing. Believe me, even at my age when thy were released...at 50 cents, I would have considered doing the same thing. BOys played with toys much longer back then. And they were cool, but didn't last long. I believe you should get them all again. Thanks for watching.
I had gotten the R1500 Robotix (Venturak) set for Christmas the year they came out. It was one of my favorite toys to the point I collected the other 3 sets in my adulthood and have all 4 on display in my den. Great conversation piece when people come over.
Definitely remember most of them. The only ones I had was the Shogun Warriors. It was primarily Star Wars until 84 when Transformers came out and it remained my focus for the rest of the 80s. I just admired some of the others mentioned in the video when I saw them on the shelves.
I was Star Wars through all the films and beyond, but added he-Man, Gi Joe, and Transformers in 82 an 84 respectively. But like you anything after 85/86 I had to admire on the shelf as well...but I was getting older.

Still have that one Also had Big Trac and Armatron, and Sectaurs. The toys I always wanted though was 1979 Alien, that giant red Rodan as well as Shogun Warriors Godzilla, Raiden, Gaiking, and Getter Dragon. My 7th grade art teacher she actually had Gaiking in her classroom I remember asking for it and she said no 😂
I had Sky Commander, some of the Captain Power and Bionic Six figures. I remember the Battle Beasts, Eagle Force and Robotix. Thanks for this video. It was a great trip down memory lane. 😊
Air Raiders was top tier in terms of playability and Captain Power was another level. You could play it with the show like a video game or chase your sibling around the house like laser tag. One of the best toys I ever had.
By the second half of the 80s video games took over and no new toy line could gain enough ground to be as big as Gi Joe/He-man/Starwars and Transformers were...... Nintendo was such a giant leap from what Atari and Colleco vision were. You just had to look at the ads in comic books to see the change happening...by 88 there were almost zero ads in comics that weren't video game related. Those big four toy lines that I mentioned needed such a massive budget to support their domination.... either box office smash movies (star wars) or shows with 64 episodes per season...so daily..... 13 episodes per season and perhaps a comic were no match for Super Mario, Zelda and other games that literally made you shut off your tv to take part in! Transformers the Movie and the Gi Joe movie seemed more like a book end rather than a line getting bigger....and the Heman movie was like vandalism of a strong line.
I got a big box of Air Raiders toys at the Salvation Army. I had no clue what they were but my neighbor and I had fun with them. Loved the concept for the toys. They were the same scale as M.A.S.K. Toys, another cool toy set with awesome transforming vehicles.
I had a couple figures from all these lines except for golden girl and shogun. I had a little bit of everything. I was obsessed with toys and I still collect…for some reason. Most of the figures on this list I picked up from the discontinued bargain bin at kaybee toys. Even bargain bin toys back then were good and they were like $1-$3. This is a good list of lines that most people forgot or never saw
Had a few of these obscure toys i used to go to boot sales (flea markets)im from the uk since the early 80s so i bought intresting toys for my collection i found moon beamers ,mighty max ,action man ,starwars ,dempsey and makepeace figures ,vintage lego from the 50s/60s scalextric,70s bikes and skateboards ,hotwheels from the late 60s and atari consoles the best thing was it was dirt cheap way up till the early 2000s . Thanks for a leap into the obscure and wonderfull 80s toy lines 👍
I've been a Shogun Warrior fan since the get go. The larger Machinders are cool, but the smaller diecast vehicles are so well made and creative. Top notch quality. The other toy lines I remember from this era were the Photon toys. Like Captain power the Photon figures were interactive but with the Photon laser game. The Lords of Light was another very short lived toy line.
I remember getting Robotix and Capsula both for Christmas. My parents were big into the construction-type toys. My brother and I made a lot of different things with those and hauled them around in our Big Track and trailer. I don't remember the MASH line and at that age didn't care for the show, but now I would buy them just to set them up in my cubicle at work (I work at a VA Hospital). I think my co-workers and patients would appreciate it.
It’s interesting the reference that there was no ‘controversy’ about Klinger in drag. The reason being his character purposefully and intentionally wore women’s clothes to show his superiors he was “mentally unwell”and “unfit for duty”. Quoted from the show. Interesting stuff.
I think most people understand why he dressed like that in the show, but I also know there are those out there who would create controversy over nothing, or even when it is justified. That is simply why I said it. A toy like that too, if it had more wide release or popularity, may also have had to deal with the wrath of the ignorant. Thanks for watching and the the insightful comment, too.
Great video! I grew up on Star Wars (like most boys) and never owned any of these but knew of several. I remember a neighbor had a Shogun Warrior and I thought it AMAZING! Honorable mention for me: Crystar from Remco (1983). Because I had Crystar and Warbow but always wanted them all!
I had Super Naturals, Air Raiders, Battle Beasts, and Shogun Warriors. There were a lot of great lines in the 80s. Inhumanoids, Blackstar, Sectaurs, Spiral Zone...so many.
Right after I got my first summer job as a lifeguard, a local Department Store went out of business and had the entire Air Raiders line on clearance. Even though I was aged out of playing with toys by then- something compelled me to buy up as many as I could. Should have kept these toys like I did my Transformers...
YOu got them all, even after "playtime" was over, and you still don't have them? That would have been gold. But I love you sharing your story. Thank you
I had a few of the figures, a jeep, and a mash covered truck. My sister was a bigger fan of the show and got them. We also had Happy Days toys and Dukes of Hazzard toys.
Hi there thx for the flashback.I had Tuskus from the infacebles & I had Captain Power also 2 battles beast. My brother had 1 supernatural. Now i own Robotics thats i luckily found at a fleamarket.
You mentioned Bionic 6. Best dang set of 80s minor toy lines. Have all the figures but only one vehicle. The playsets & vehicles are expensive and hard to find on the secondary market. I cosplayed as Doctor Scarab at a convention years ago.
Cosplayed even. NICE. Yeah, as it was the end of my Playtime, later GENXERS probably remember that one well. It didn't run long and the figures were often scarce, so GREAT JOB collecting.
Loved the Robotix cartoon, mainly because it gave a story to the cool build sets. Bionic Six the cartoon was far more popular than the actual toys, which were seen as low rent GI Joe stuff. Both theme songs live rent free in my head all these years later.
I was perfectly happy with Star Wars, Legos, Atari and Transformers. Between those and playing sports and riding bikes, I never got into any other toy lines.
I had the original Golden Girl and Jade. I also had Jem, Kimber, Aja, Pizzaz and Stormer. I was a huge Jem fan as a kid. Sadly they got lost during a move. If I had the money I'd get the originals I had as a collection. Reminds me of wonderful childhood memories.
My mother and grandfather got me into Shogun Warriors. I had the (if I remember right) the 24” Raydeen and Japanese cast metal version that would transform from the robot into the flying “bird” type ship. There was a Raydeen cartoon that my mother would read the subtitles for me that aired on one of the PBS channels. It was on either Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon.
I have watched several Raideen episodes since playing the Super Robot Wars. The Robot Raideen has 2 different powerful weapons depending on the situation, the God Bird change when Akira Hibiki found the weakspot of the Youma Beast, and the God Ramuh, a sound wave weapon that can obliterate any of the Youma Empire's mooks and their MOTW to oblivion when incanting the words , the downside of this were the recoil effect and can put Akira in danger in the persistence of usage.
There was a Shogun Warriors CARTOON? I had a couple random issues of the Marvel comic, and we had Great Mazinga coloring book, besides the toys. (I had REIDEEN, firstborn had Godzilla, a cousin had 5” REIDEEN)
@brainlock72 yep, all of them are made in Japan but not as Shogun Warriors as a whole, but rather the robos(like Mazinger or Getter or Daimos) since the 1970s. Several of them were made from Toei, while Raideen were made by Sunrise. If you ever stumbled a Shogun Warrior named Leopaldon, that was Spiderman(yep, our Web slingning, Web crawler) personal robot, but in a live action(no animation, think it as a POWER RANGER lieu style of production) separate continuity, though it is currently known a Leopardon today.
The Shogun warriors robot toys were very well known to the children of New England in the early 1980's because we were the only region in the country that got to see the cartoons on TV that the Shogun Warriors were based on. The show was called Force Five and it was a different story depending on the day of the week monday-friday so it was 5 shows that aired for like 3 years the shows were called Grendizer, spacecateers, Gy King, Starvengers and Danguard Ace. I was 5-7 years old when I watched them and I also watched Starblazers. My dad would take me to Boston to buy me diecast Robots imported from Japan in those days. Fun times. 😁
I had read about that, the New England prevalence, and that makes sense. We had the large sized figures, but didn't know anything about them. Thank you
Owned a few of these. Capt Power, Battle Beats, and Sky Commanders. Crazy, I used to draw the vehicles from Air Raiders but I thought I actually created them. Seeing the image in this video triggered my memory!
@@GENXPERIENCE They were really nice figures. I grew up without tv so the lack of media didn't mean anything to me. They were so unique and size wise worked well with other figures, and were natural villains, obviously. Been reselling for years and have never run into any in the wild.
Wow i had that Infaceables lion figure. Totally erased from my mind until i saw this lol. Also i had Great Mazinga 5 inch toy and he was my first Halloween outfit.
I had that robotic kit with the space pod and fingers and remember making a robot arm to pick stuff up and a sim arm for the pod. Also zoids were awesome.
Fun video, and I loved the clip of the Golden Girls show being added! I personally don't remember any of these toy lines and I grew up in the 80s...so you're right, they are obscure! If I may add a couple of comments about your video...1) it would be nice to have the sections be numbered, in case someone wants to skip over a segment, and 2) you narrate very quickly...is that because you want the videos to be a certain length?
Thank you, and I guess I was good with the obscure, lol. I remember all of them except the Sky Commanders to be honest. Most were later and I was not longer acquiring toys, but I still secretly loved them. I have thought about numbering, but I am trying not to be typical with lists. But yes, some people might want to jump around, true. I speak very fast, number one...but that is not why. I narrate quickly because when I started there was this mentality that you never want to pause, keep it flowing (especially for younger folks) so they don't lose interest. But I really could take a breath. Thank you
I was more of a 70s kid but I did like going into Kay-Bee toys to see what messed up new MOTU characters were on the pegs . I often wished I was still a kid because so many cool tools came out when I was a teen .
I am split between the 2 pretty well. After having to GROW UP, I remember always walking toy aisles to see what was still being made. Didn't buy, but loved to still look through them, too.
I loved Battlebeasts and Bionic Six. I was also probably the only person who actually watched & enjoyed Bionic Six. In the late 90's/early 00's. SyFy channel used to air reruns alongside the 90's Gigantor and it was wild to see that show in all its 80's glory again.
Got the Air Raiders Dragonwind back in 1989. Now l own multiple of all the vehicles and playsets. Over 800 figures. Three factory sealed shipping boxes. Both mail away figures. I just love the Air Raiders. Some of my friends call me obsessed 😅
Those giant robot toys were the best. My friend had one, and it was like the big bruiser our robots had against Megatron. We mixed a lot of toy lines. Their show was brought over to the States as Tranzor Z, and kicked off my lifelong obsession with giant robots.
I was always a fan of lesser known lines. My friends would laugh at me, but I always felt like they never gave some of these lines a chance. I LOVED the Infaceables. You could get them for 99 cents in the bargain bin at Circus World, I could complete the entire set with just maybe 2 trips to the mall. Some other lines I loved that were considered lesser known.....Dragon Riders of the Styx, Starriors, Power Lords, Crystar, Remco Warrior Beasts, Remco World of the Warlord, Blackstar.
This is a great share, thank you. Starriors didn't top any list of mine, or Power Lords, but you have some other great ones there and I am so happy you gave the lesser known some love.
I had stuff from about half of these toy lines. We spent a lot of time at a McCroys store that frequently had clearance lines for very cheap that other stores didn’t feature. My folks could get me half a toy line for the cost of a Transformer. I miss that store. I very clearly remember getting Willow die cast figures there.
Apparition is definitely a word, and I had a couple of these as a kid. I remember the Viking and Native American figs vividly, and I thought they were awesome, more so than the Visionaries. Fun times were them 80s.
I had a couple of Golden Girl figures: the baddie with pink hair and black catsuit, she was my fave for years and, and Jade with red hair and green armour. Not Golden Girl herself, I never noticed the similarity She ra had to her and GG was out first… 😮
My next-door neighbor had all of the supernatural figures, I was able to get one before the line disappeared forever. I wish it was among the old action figures in a box I found at my folks’ house not long ago.
Minus Golden Girl, my younger brother and I owned a figure from every toy line in this list! From that awesome era when constant paint scratched die-cast metal toys was the norm. I'm still waiting for Eagale Force to drop as a 1:12 scale toy line.
I seem to remember having a wearable Battle Beasts play set that was a purple chest plate, purple eye patch, and either a gold- or silver-coloured crab claw-like weapon when I was a kid. I had no idea it was from any toy line, but remember that the chest armour had a dial that you could switch to either fire, wood, or water. Battle Beasts must have had other costume-like items in addition to the figures and vehicles.
Well, I am glad something caught you, lol. I am so glad you watched AND that you are a fan of BB. Maybe not my favs, but that doesn't matter. YOu like them. Thank you
@@GENXPERIENCE No this video was a great throwback down memory lane. Thank YOU! Bionic 6, Robotix, oh man. My kids are watching it like... you played with toys? Oh the sorrow of this internet generation
Some of the more obscure toys I had was the "Con-nec-tors" (cool monster-figures you could switch the body parts) and a lot of Police Academy- and Ghostbuster-figures. But this was in the 90s.
…still have a few of them robots of those obscure Japanese anime of the late 70’s like Shogun Warriors and a larger sized Mazinger Z and a larger Voltes 5. My Father’s had an office branch in Tokyo and schlepped those back home in the Bay Area. Didn’t play with it much so they are still in their boxes.
I absolutely LOVE the Infaceables. To me it is a highly underrated line. They feature some of the most beautiful card backs of the 80's with spectacular portraits of each figure on both sides of the card. Believe it or not they can in fact be repaired.....but it does take some serious time and effort. Without getting too in depth you crack them open, remove all the old cracked hardened rubber and replace them with small balloons and then draw new faces on with a paint that will adhere to rubber, then you re-seal them. I think I'm most likely the only person to ever put a complete repaired set together, I've thought of offering it on eBay. Another interesting fact.....the line was actually a way for Galoob to utilize the vehicles they had already produced for a 3rd Blackstar line. I actually own the original blueprints to the Cruiser Crusher, which displays a captured Blackstar figure in the chamber. I also have over 20 of the Poppy Jumbos (Shogun Warriors).....that's been a passion of mine for years and is a hobby that can almost make you choose between a toy or a car. The prices are ridiculous on some of them. Loved the video, would love to see a second vid with he likes of Power Lords, Crystar, Wheeled Warriors, Maxx Steele Robo Force, Starriors, Dragon Riders of the Styx. The 80's were just so radical!!!!?
That is amazing. Seriously. They look impossible to fix. I saw a youtube video about it, but didn't watch it. Now I should. Believe me, I think they are fascinating, but not quite the transformations they were promising. But still cool. Your knowledge of Infaceables is so incredible, thank you so much for educating me. YOu should sell those on ebay. And YES, there are so many more toys for such a crazy wonderful time like the 80s.
I had Beast Wars and Bionic 6. My friend had more Bionic 6 than I, and we played with them a lot. I also still have one of the figures from the Air Squad. I don’t remember them at all, but for some reason I had at least one. There was another weird toy line about anthropomorphic food that fought each other.
I was born in 1978, was spoiled by my parents, and had at least one example of almost every one of the toy lines mentioned in this video 😂 I didn't even remember many of them. Some are still in my parents' attic. Even had the Super Naturals Tomb of Doom playset.
Ooooo they are called battlebeasts!? I have 4 in my nostalgia display case (rummaged through the attic and basement at mom's for old toys of mine worth keeping/displaying) Didn't remember what these guys were. Thanks!
was there a Darren McGavin action figure?!?! Battle Beasts was probably my 3rd favourite figures. I had all the Captain Power figures, vehicles, and the video cassettes!!! INFACEABLES!!!! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT NAME FOREVER!
Night Stalker, Christmas Story Dad? I am not sure. I would have to search. CP seemed pretty awesome to me. Ha, that name is so strange, right? Infaceables.
There was plenty of room for crossplay between GI Joe and MASH! The Joes get injured and sent to MASH, who patch them up while making fun of their silly names and outlandish costumes...and then COBRA show up and massacre them all! I had a fun childhood.
Thanks for sharing. Some of these found their way to the Netherlands. Golden Girls: my aunt bought one for my cousin on a market. Robotix: only saw the toys in one toyshop and I don't think I could match any of the sets with the characters I saw in the cartoon. We did have the cartoon for a short period. I liked it. It was one big story, but if it has an ending I never saw it. Bionic Six: as far as I know we got the cartoon and not the toys. If you liked the none racing episodes of M.A.S.K. I think you'll enjoy this one too. Air Raiders: never seen these over here, but I wonder if they were inspired by Starcom. The commercial and promo art look really nice. Battle Beasts were fun to collect and I learned later that some stores had the vehicles and newer figures too. They had a revival in Japan some years ago with a dice gimmick? Captain Power we could watch, but I don't remember the channel. For some reason a supermarket had the Crusher Cruiser for sale, but none of the figures. I got one from my parents and it became a vehicle for He-Man who fit in it nicely. A friend of mine and a cousin had big shogun robots, but I think they might have been bootlegs.
I love your rundown of each. Thank you for sharing all of it, but mainly that some did make it to the Netherlands. It is interesting to see which or how, imports are treated around the world when we were oblivious to that in the US.

Also had Big Trac and Armatron, and Sectaurs.
The toys I always wanted though was 1979 Alien, that giant red Rodan as well as Shogun Warriors Godzilla, Raiden, Gaiking, and Getter Dragon.
My 7th grade art teacher she actually had Gaiking in her classroom I remember asking for it and she said no 😂
I always wanted that 2' GaiKing....loved that, thanks for making this, bring back great memories...
That is my goal. Memory lane...Enjoy.
I always remembered Mantech from Remco. I only had one figure, but I never forgot about the line in all these years
I only remember that name, Mantech. Looking it up now.
I had Sky Commander, some of the Captain Power and Bionic Six figures. I remember the Battle Beasts, Eagle Force and Robotix. Thanks for this video. It was a great trip down memory lane. 😊
I love that. That is why I make them. Thank you
I had all the Super Naturals and the play set with the flipping coffin. One of my favorite Christmas’s.
Wow. You were lucky. Those guys just looked cool. I feel like I need one...just to have.
Air Raiders was top tier in terms of playability and Captain Power was another level. You could play it with the show like a video game or chase your sibling around the house like laser tag. One of the best toys I ever had.
I like the multi use of Cpt Power...chasing around a sibling, lol.
I loved all the all these toys, and now looking to buy thema again.
Perhaps even start a playset company for them...💙👍💯
I hope you do. What a great goal. I bet that collection would look wonderful.
And in '88 that big green wave of the TMNT rolled in.
Bionic 6 had awesome figures & I actually watched the show..thx for putting this together for us
You are very kind. Love the comment and thanks for watching. I may have been older for Bionic 6, but I know they were loved.
Loved Shogun warriors and Micronauts.
I don't know why my recollection of micronauts is so vague, I did have them, but Shogun...those were awesome.
I got a big box of Air Raiders toys at the Salvation Army. I had no clue what they were but my neighbor and I had fun with them. Loved the concept for the toys. They were the same scale as M.A.S.K. Toys, another cool toy set with awesome transforming vehicles.
The fact they were the same scale as MASK was the right direction. They were a cool premise.
Thanks. There are so many that have been lost in time. Good ones, too.
I absolutely loved Bionic Six and Sky Commanders.
I heard Bionic 6 was loved by many.
Bionic Six was a great cartoon. Didn't know about the toys.
The Bionic Six cartoon was great, don't know what this youtuber is smoking. He probably never saw it.
I remember buying the vehicle's for super naturals at a car boot sale and having no idea what toy line they were from. I loved them. ❤
I bet. I think I would like Supernatuals the best from this group, myself. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, I hope you enjoyed. I am here just to have fun. I love when I hear folks going to Flea Markets for some great finds.
YOu have opened a memory, Photon! Thank you
I remember getting Robotix and Capsula both for Christmas.
What a great idea about the MASH. Yeah, I watched with my family, but didn't care too much. Surprised there was a line at all. But they do look great.
Glad to see Sky Commanders, I remember having some toys with the colored string for zip lines but never could remember the name.
Cool. They were just a bit after my playtime...but believe me, I kept in the know and thought they were pretty bad ass. Thanks for the comment.
Crystar is popular, I don't remember it at all, but I do love being introduced to something new. Thank you so much.
I didn't have any Shogun Warriors toys, but I read and re-read the Shogun Warriors comic books!
Better than me. I had no media for it.
@@GENXPERIENCE I read a lot of comic books based on toylines! I had more comics based on toylines than I had toylines represented in my bedroom! :)
@@ScrapKing73 To each their own...much respect to you.
I had Super Naturals, Air Raiders, Battle Beasts, and Shogun Warriors. There were a lot of great lines in the 80s. Inhumanoids, Blackstar, Sectaurs, Spiral Zone...so many.
SO MANY. I have an 80s 2nd Tier Toyline Playsets coming up on Friday
Thank you
Interesting! I never knew there were MASH toys!
THe only toys I DO NOT open, lol.
Do you still have him around? How does he look. I'll admit I'm thinking of getting a Supernatural because of my show, lol.
@@GENXPERIENCE I do have 2 supernatural toys yes
You mentioned Bionic 6. Best dang set of 80s minor toy lines. Have all the figures but only one vehicle. The playsets & vehicles are expensive and hard to find on the secondary market. I cosplayed as Doctor Scarab at a convention years ago.
Cosplayed even. NICE. Yeah, as it was the end of my Playtime, later GENXERS probably remember that one well. It didn't run long and the figures were often scarce, so GREAT JOB collecting.
I remember playing with Sgt Rock with my Gi Joe figs. Eagle force were cool too. We'll made
Very well made, but the chipping paint. That aside, they would go great with the FP toys, star wars, and GI JOe.
I had lots of those from battle beasts, Captain power, dinoriders, sky commanders, supernaturals, and others. Fun times.
Love my skycommders lol great memories
Loved the Robotix cartoon, mainly because it gave a story to the cool build sets. Bionic Six the cartoon was far more popular than the actual toys, which were seen as low rent GI Joe stuff. Both theme songs live rent free in my head all these years later.
Those theme songs were so catchy. Glad you like Robotix, I did not, but I do know there is a lot of love for BIonic 6. Thanks for watching.
Don't remember any of these hitting the shops in the UK, but I was 20 in 1987... They all look appropriate for the era
Yeah, it may have been too too late for your to notice, but you are ABSOLUTELY right as their aesthetic is UNMISTAKABLE.
Battle Beasts were awesome! I still have that white lion somewhere
Nice. Glad they didn't get lost.
I was perfectly happy with Star Wars, Legos, Atari and Transformers. Between those and playing sports and riding bikes, I never got into any other toy lines.
I had a few of the Super Naturals. I don’t know if I necessarily played with them, but really enjoyed the holographic aspect. They were a lot of fun!
THat would have been me...especially as I was older. I would still want them...JUST FOR THAT. Thanks for watching.
So glad you were brought back, that was my whole intent. Sorry you lost, it would be nice to have them on a shelf today.
I remember getting Sky Commanders for Christmas back in 1987. I had Battle Beasts and both Captain Power and Lord Dread.
I love hearing all these stories of the toys people had. Makes me feel good inside. Thank you for watching.
I discovered that only some regions got those shows. We certainly didn't, but I loved the toys.
@@jonecuntapay9561 I know about Leopardon, which eventually led to the Sentai/Power Rangers franchise.
Thank you
The fact this video exist means that we finally have become old isn't it
Yes. Yes, that is exactly what this means. I embrace it
I loved the supernaturals and the visionaries toys. Holograms were so freaking cool in the 80s!
HOlograms were the BEST
Sky commanders were awesome!!! I had most if not all of those.
That is awesome. I bet they were a lot of fun.
Owned a few of these. Capt Power, Battle Beats, and Sky Commanders.
Crazy, I used to draw the vehicles from Air Raiders but I thought I actually created them. Seeing the image in this video triggered my memory!
Thank you for sharing about you drawings and you discovering that they were from that line. So cool. Thanks for watching.
I loved Super Naturals! So cool.
Didn't have, but thought they just looked AWESOME
@@GENXPERIENCE They were really nice figures. I grew up without tv so the lack of media didn't mean anything to me. They were so unique and size wise worked well with other figures, and were natural villains, obviously. Been reselling for years and have never run into any in the wild.
Brilliant vid, enjoyed this more than anything disney has put out in the last 5 years, boom!!
Oh my....but THANKS
Some of these toy lines are hella neat...🤘🏼💯✔️
Aren't they? Some I would still want...maybe today.
Wow i had that Infaceables lion figure. Totally erased from my mind until i saw this lol.
Also i had Great Mazinga 5 inch toy and he was my first Halloween outfit.
YOur Halloween Costume? YOu go. That was a great era of make your own costumes. COOL.
I had that robotic kit with the space pod and fingers and remember making a robot arm to pick stuff up and a sim arm for the pod. Also zoids were awesome.
NIce toys. Sounds like a blast.
@@GENXPERIENCE Yup . I bought a reproduction 1970’s era Kung Fu Grip GI Joe just on a whim once . Haven’t ever seen them again.
I loved Battlebeasts and Bionic Six. I was also probably the only person who actually watched & enjoyed Bionic Six. In the late 90's/early 00's. SyFy channel used to air reruns alongside the 90's Gigantor and it was wild to see that show in all its 80's glory again.
It does seem to be at the end of The GEN Xperience, but there ARE A LOT of fans. Thanks for the view and comment.
Sky Commanders were awesome. Still the only line I was able to collect all of. Threw them out in high school. though.
What an awesome feat to get them all. Thanks for sharing. Sad you threw them out. But that happened often.
I had the Captain Power vhs tape and Starship gun game. Also Sky Commanders was one my favorites cartoons 'hotwire!!'
I was passed my ideal toy time, but these would have been awesome.
This is all some of my favorite stuff now
That is great to hear. Makes them all the more special.
I had a few Supernaturals and the red car..loved them as a kid. Didn't really fit in with anything else though lol 😆
You know I did like it when toys could play with others, but that would be difficult.
Eagle Force had one of the best ninjas in 80s toys. I only had 2 figures from this line but they were durable and the blue ninja was cool
Eagle Force was pretty awesome looking. I would have loved that playset. But I am a sucker for playsets.
Got the Air Raiders Dragonwind back in 1989. Now l own multiple of all the vehicles and playsets. Over 800 figures. Three factory sealed shipping boxes. Both mail away figures. I just love the Air Raiders. Some of my friends call me obsessed 😅
That is so incredible. It is nice to see someone was into one of these so much, that is it one they collect. Thank you for sharing.
Those giant robot toys were the best. My friend had one, and it was like the big bruiser our robots had against Megatron. We mixed a lot of toy lines.
Their show was brought over to the States as Tranzor Z, and kicked off my lifelong obsession with giant robots.
Love me some giant robots. I know only some regions and very limited got those Tranzor Z show. I had no idea about it.
My mother made a Captain Power costume for me one year for Halloween I loved it and the kids that bullied me even liked it
WOW. What a mom. Sounds like she was all into whatever it is you were loving. Thank you for sharing.
I loved clearance stores. So many more opportunities to get toys less expensive. Willow? nice!
Apparition is definitely a word, and I had a couple of these as a kid. I remember the Viking and Native American figs vividly, and I thought they were awesome, more so than the Visionaries. Fun times were them 80s.
True, but I said APPARITIOUS, as an adjective. I think it SHOULD be a word, lol. I think I want some supernturals and VISIONARIES now.
@@GENXPERIENCE did you? I need to get my ears checked! They are mighty apparitional though, for sure 😄.
Captain power did a hell of a job on advertising. They had a commercial on every 1/2 hr back then.
Maybe that is why I remember it so well. Thanks for watching.
I had a couple of Golden Girl figures: the baddie with pink hair and black catsuit, she was my fave for years and, and Jade with red hair and green armour. Not Golden Girl herself, I never noticed the similarity She ra had to her and GG was out first… 😮
I enjoy when I hear someone had GG. Yeah, I feel like She Ra took maybe SOME inspiration, for sure.
My next-door neighbor had all of the supernatural figures, I was able to get one before the line disappeared forever. I wish it was among the old action figures in a box I found at my folks’ house not long ago.
That would have been a nice surprise. Lucky kid next door.
Minus Golden Girl, my younger brother and I owned a figure from every toy line in this list! From that awesome era when constant paint scratched die-cast metal toys was the norm. I'm still waiting for Eagale Force to drop as a 1:12 scale toy line.
You know it is going to happen. And boy do I miss die cast!!! Thank you for sharing, you were a lucky son of a gun. Thanks for coming by.
I feel like there was some sort of bandoleer for the BB. Perhaps there was other merch. Diversifying was a good idea.
Didnt know if I wanted to watch this video... Bro got me with Battle beasts in the first 30 seconds
Con Nec Tors sound very cool, will have to look up. Those others are a little later, but I still remember them on the shelves.
I can still hear the Air Raiders theme in my head to this day.
Isn't that a nice thing to recollect. I sing a few themes myself.
In box and everything. SHould be worth a pretty penny. I love that your dad brought them home to you.
VERY cool done video. Great topic though.
Appreciation from Germany :-)
Well HELLO. Thanks for watching and writing. I know there are HUGE Toys Fans in Germany. Thank you
I still have several on-card Eagle Force figures! 🙌🏼
oooooh, now those sound priceless.
I found an Eagle Force revival, new figures - very cool looking. They say “preorder” so who knows
Hmmmm, that is awesome. They were loved by so many, but so short lived.
Fresh Monkey Fiction is behind the new Eagle Force, which has expanded its cast way beyond to some more familiar faces. 😉
I do have the FOOD FIGHTERS in another show. Stay tuned.
I loved the Air raider toys!
I was born in 1978, was spoiled by my parents, and had at least one example of almost every one of the toy lines mentioned in this video 😂 I didn't even remember many of them. Some are still in my parents' attic. Even had the Super Naturals Tomb of Doom playset.
The Tomb of Doom, huh? And I thought anyone who owned it was a myth, lol. That is pretty awesome. You were showered with some great toys.
Ooooo they are called battlebeasts!? I have 4 in my nostalgia display case (rummaged through the attic and basement at mom's for old toys of mine worth keeping/displaying)
Didn't remember what these guys were. Thanks!
Wow, that is awesome. And glad I could help. Cool you still have them in your case, even. Thanks for watching.
I had a bunch of Sky Commanders toys. They were awesome.
Sounds like people really enjoyed those.
was there a Darren McGavin action figure?!?!
Yes-there-are-Christmas-Story-figures-by-NECA.....His-figure-is-called-"The-Old-Man"-and-comes-with-the-leg-lamp.
@@GENXPERIENCE Darren flashed on the screen early in the video, I thought maybe he was in one of these you lines!
Good god man, it's like memory lane
That is my intention. Good times we need to think more about. Brings a little joy
There was plenty of room for crossplay between GI Joe and MASH!
The Joes get injured and sent to MASH, who patch them up while making fun of their silly names and outlandish costumes...and then COBRA show up and massacre them all!
I had a fun childhood.
That is a perfect marriage. I would have done the same.
@@GENXPERIENCE Happy to contribute. I'll definitely be checking out more of your videos.
"Late gen x-ers" ....when did my body get old?!
I love how She-Ra spends so much time saving the bad guy. I wouldn't do it myself, but it's the mark of a true hero!
You're right it is...but too many times. I agree, NOT something I would do, lol.
