I still can’t believe this, but when I was a kid in small town Kansas I had a General Lee pedal car! Complete with confederate flag on the hood (as it had no roof), toy CB radio and I kid you not, it played Dixie Land when you honked the horn!
I loved that car as a little kid. I fantasized about driving that around and ramping off stuff. When I was a little kid around 7 years old, I went to a Tom Wopat concert that was held right in town, the Gen. Lee was on display in the middle of the road. I got my picture taken next to that Gen. These toy cars are awesome Junkman! Nowadays if we have a rebel flag people cry racism even though the flag had nothing to do with racism only cause the clan used it doesn't mean it stands for racism. It's my dream to own a 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee replica in excellent condition and still drivable. I had the mego figures, the 3 3/4 figures, a general Lee that the figures could sit in (or it was at least the same size, I can't remember.), a couple different die cast general Lee's. I only saw so many episodes of the show. I do remember the theme song and thought about it recently with the controversy with John Schneider 😂. I also remember the Dixie song the horn played.
