I was pleasantly surprised to see the extra parts in the two versions of the ICM Model Ts that I bought. Cool stuff.
This kit looks great, can’t wait till your build video!
Built the 1913 Speedster a while back. Beautifully engineered kit! Time consuming, but very rewarding. I build mostly '50's and '60's cars, but take the model T out of the showcase quite often to look at it. Youll like it.
ICM kits look like high quality. I was concerned that they may no longer be around due to the conflict there having. Hopefully I'll get to build one someday. I know Matt that your fire truck will turn out awesome. Enjoy your weekend.
Very well detailed kit! When the first automobile was invented, it's tyres were made from natural rubber. Chemicals were then added to make them tougher and more durable. A white substance, zinc oxide, was added to increase traction and it also gave the tyre a white appearance.
Thanks For The Interesting Trivia Sir🤗🤗
And when Carbon Black was added for even more durability there was a reluctance to buy them because they were black. The durabilty won out.
Can’t go wrong with an ICM kit 👍👍
Good luck and happy building of this kit sir, looking forward to the next update, bext best regards from Australia 👍👍👍👍
Awesome looking kit Matthew
They are great kits.
Looks like a great kit!
Tires were white rubber until they added Carbon to them to extend the life of the tread.
The lights are Acetylene lamps, that cylinder on the running board contained Acetylene powder, with a chamber of water above, water dripped onto the Acetylene producing a flammable gas which was plumbed to each lamp.
I'm building a 1/35 ICM 1939 Opel Admiral, Very nice detail and a lot of tiny parts
Thank You Sir For Sharing Your Interesting Trivia Also 🤗🤗
Those were carbide lamps. Like the miner's helmet lamps of the late 19th., And early 20th centuries. I have an old miner's lamp somewhere in my stuff. Also Had a can of carbide chunks for it, at one time.
Very nice looking kit. looks like you will have fun building it,
Great looking kit Matthew!
ICM kits are great. Very well engineered & produced. Master box, MB are also very nice
That is excellent detail on the parts.
Early tires were white because it’s the natural color of the rubber. Manufacturers started adding carbon to the mix to give them the black color we now see as normal tire color.
What a greatly detailed kit Matt! I’ve been looking at one of their very early releases, a 1/35 Russian Ural rocket launcher, and boy is it DETAILED! I’d say that they probably “over engineered “ the kit. Great video!
It looks like a very well engineered model kit. It should build up into a very nice model. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for reviewing this kit. I've eyeballed these kits but, was unsure about the quality. This will steer me towards a purchase of one of these kits.
Very cool Matt! Thanks for sharing. 😎🇨🇦
Hi Matthew. My hobby store in Norway have a lot of this ICM kits. They look awesome. It's not my years of models. Maybe I have to try one now, when have see what so is in the box. You make a lot of great movies. Your builds is awesome to. 😊😊😊😊😊
I'm going to have to get one. Thanks for the open box review.
I figured you would like it David!
cool kit matt.
Nice looking kit, going to have to get me one. At 9:10 into the video you opened up the instructions and on pages 2 and 3 it shows all of the sprues included in the kit with a couple of them covered in red probably the sprue with the roof pieces. Revell does the same thing with their kits instructions.
Nice Looking Kit!!
Love it!
They are great kits I have only built there aircraft kits. The part fits are excellent.
I have two of those kits. Have not built them yet. They look very nice
I don't build fire apparatus but this is a must have. I do have an AMT Aerochief I plan to build at some point. Wish me luck on that one.
I told you, 😀
Thanks!
Thank you Bennie!
Goes on top.
Matt, natural rubber isn’t black, it’s white or tan. Mjd
Nice 😅
Very nice looking kit. When will you build it?
Soon!
Question how does it glue I had issue since these kit are old I did one it did not hold very old spur
Natural rubber is white ,they add carbon to make them black.
that thing you don't know what is that sits on the fender is an acetylene generator to run the headlamps
tires were white because thats what natural rubber is :)
Looks like a complete extra body
I have this kit coming from Ukraine, does this come with decals?
Too bad they didn't plate the brass p😊arts
