Model kits used :

ICM 48804 = Pantelleria, Italy - JG 53. (color-scheme based on book)
Tamiya 32503 = Kübelwagen Type 82 - Afrika-Korps.
Luftwaffe in North Africa & Mediterranean.

I think I've found a hidden gem, your work is great!
Thanks Maggie 👍 Glad you like it
What an incredible job! Both the modelling and editing the video! Bravoooo congratulations!
Thanks for the kind words, means a lot! 👍
Good job
Thanks! 👍
I like the slides format you used to show steps on some of base coat painting. Very relaxing video. Ordering Vallejo military colour set and an airbrush soon! So excited
That's great news Will, an airbrush is a nice addition to a modeller's toolbox 👍 Have fun
Very Nice! I hope icm survives Kiev...
Ukraine Forever 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦
Yes, I hope so too, dark times right now 🇺🇦 thanks for the comment
Beautiful final result and video editing 👍
Thank you!
Hello SF
Nice to see you around
This would make a wonderful diorama with Adolf Galland's 2 Me-109f's, one with the 20mm re-installed in the wings and backwards Mickey Mouse insignia. Dane
You heve beautiful models 👍
Thank you Ondra! 👍
If you're familiar with the little yellow post it notes with the tacky strip on one edge. They can also be purchased with the entirely of the back side with adhesive.
They work really good for masking. The adhesive is also low tack so no paint lifting on removal.
Wow, I just found an amazing channel with a very skilled modeler!
Hi R D, I'm just an average modeler but many thanks for the comment 😅 cheers 👍
Beautiful work I can't wait to retire I have about 500 models I've collected through the years all world war II & some Korean era sabers and migs only warbirds, many Me109s, 262s & focke wulf 190s all versions, spitfires mustangs all sorts of bombers, I'm so excited to restart building and airbrushing on my retirement 😎👍🇺🇸
Sounds like a nice collection you got there James, great to read you'll be building models again. Wish you a soon retirement and thanks!
Inspirational, thank you...
That's great to read Jack, thanks!
How that’s amazing
Thank you, happy you like it
Не...48 пробовал собирать...не мое!Так и собираю 72 масштаб.
Интересная сборка! И обзор наборов тоже получился)
Nice double build 👍
How do that it looks like the original BF-109
amazing job. I love that ICM F4 kit, and you did it great justice. Bravo!

Excellent result!!
outstanding work.but for more realism,on the Kubelwagen it should Say OTTO on both sides..
Thanks, yes you're right, I might add that in the future 👍 cheers
Very impressive...👌
Great models, and lovely videography as well. These videos must be a lot of work to make! Thank you 🙏.
This really makes me want to build another plane, I’ve only done a spitfire but it was really fun.
Thanks for the comments, means a lot! Yes making the videos takes a lot of time unfortunately... Hope you'll start a new model soon, have fun and cheers
Hello friend, great job. Which of the two models you used has the open engine? thank you
Thanks, all of the ICM bf109 kits come with the engine and panels 👍
I am amazed by the quality of this channel! I hope it grows it deserves more attention.
Glad you like the channel, thanks for the kind comment!
hello, my congratulations for the demonstrated technique, I have to put together several ICMs and seeing your video, my conclusion is correct when buying them, they are models to enjoy and add details, the cost is very little for what it brings, although there are small details to fix, it more than makes up for the extras it brings, I hope if possible, that Zvezda can put together there are several that have many interesting details, such as the bf 109 g6, I still enjoy your videos, greetings from Chile
Hello Francisco, I thought exactly the same thing, the kits are cheap but can be made into nice models by adding a bit of extra detail. The Zvezda G6 is in my stash too so will probably make it in a future video 👍. Thanks and have a nice day
Great builds!!
Great video, beautiful work, informative and fun!!
Too good. Loved this video.
Brilliant video. Well done you 😊 regards from Spain 🇪🇦
Muchas gracias Andrea! 👍
I have the icm p-51D and the parts can be interchangeable with the old tamyia p-51 kit there identical ?
I've read some parts were indeed copied from the old Tamiya kit, but I don't have the Tamiya kit myself to compare the details. But I asume the're interchangeable indeed. Cheers
Saludos desde Mallorca🍺🏄👍
I like how you cutted these masks yourself to substitute some of the decals. Thank you for the inspiring video's. Would love to see more.
Thanks for the comment! Glad you like the masks👍
Two for one. What else can you ask for? Great job amigo. You just got a new subscriber
Thank you, glad you like the models! 👍
Great work! Just wondering: where did you get the swastika decals?
Thanks Jan Timmer, the cross on the Africa plane was painted, the cross on the 2nd plane came from ebay ('kopro decals'). Cheers
I must say your skills are outstanding. I will try and spread the word of your channel to others as it is very easy to understand and straight to the point without the waffling that some do.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you like the video. Cheers
Sei molto bravo, complimenti! Congratulations, very good job!
Grazie mille, glad you like the video 👍 cheers
Great video an comments. Tks for sharing it.
Glad you like it Fernando, Thanks for watching 👍
Great work
Fantastic
Also very cool base I like how you got a lot of materials yourself from the real outdoors 😳
Yes and the sand is free too 😄! I do bake it a few minutes in an old pan and then sift it out in a few sizes, very handy 👍
Amazing
This is really neat.
Thanks for the motivation
Thanks for the comment, glad it could motivate you, cheers 👍
Nice
i love this style of vid!!! the highliting and arrows really help with understanding scratchbuilding as i would consider myself an intermidiate modeler and im trying to learn scratchbuilding and many techniques in this video!
also how did you make the tire marks??
Thanks for the comment, glad you like the video. I added wood-glue to the base and sprinkled sand into the wet glue, it stays wet for a while, so you can roll a spare wheel (or toy, coin, washer,...) into the sand. Measure the distance between the 2 wheels to get the correct spacing. Hope this helps, cheers 👍
@@stevenshobbychannel thanks!
Amazing job!
Great models
Thanks!
Where is new video ??😅 I´m still waiting
xD - Yes I'm clearly running behind, wish I had more time for YT... Still waiting on a parcel to arrive so I can finish the next video, no clue when that will be though. Thanks for waiting! :D Cheers
Beautiful work on a beautiful aircraft
Thanks Christos, glad you like it, cheers
I don’t think I would have the patience to mask the swastika, great job on the models
You made those 109’s shine. Great build.
Your channel must be pretty new but i hope you will rise up soon with that skills. thanks for sharing.
PS are you Dutch? Intereting accent :D Regards.
Hi, thanks! Glad you like the video. Yes I'm from Belgium 😅 Speaking English is pretty much the hardest part when making videos... Cheers 👍
@@stevenshobbychannel thank you for your answer. i edited my post because auto-correction change for bad word (not "but" but "boy") i am really sorry for that. all the best.
Fantastic work and viideo
Thank you Greg, glad you like it 👍
nice details
Glad you like it 👍
@@stevenshobbychannel I apologize for the short answer English is not my mother language so I prefer to wait until I can write longer with the help of a translator therefore I apologize for nonsensical sentences one you make awesome details nice work with airbrush when you look at that model you see the time you put in the model awesome i wish i make same level models as you btw me 262 is too awesome
@@sirmix9970 No need to apologize my friend! Thanks for the kind message, it means a lot. I'm happy you like the models 👍

Excellent build and an easy to follow sequence. Great technique. Photography and cinematography also excellent.
Thank you for the kind words Leonardus, glad you like the video 👍
Beautiful work..I learnt a lot about the ICM kits and your methods..Thank you and take care👍
Thanks for the comment, glad to read you found it useful. Have fun & Cheers!
Outstanding builds Steven ! just found your site and I'm already hooked . Until your next video, take care, Tony
Tanks! Nice to have you here Tony 👍
Lovely builds. Look forward to more videos !. Subscribed.
Thanks for the comment! 👍
Great looking models! You make a perfect mottling camo, it's 100% realistic.
Thanks Griffn! I really like Luftwaffe color-schemes with mottling, they look very interesting imho. Have a nice day
Very nice work and for using a kit that doesn't have quote the level of detail as others I think you nailed it!!! Nice job with the figures too!!!!
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you like the models, means a lot 👍
Very nice video and kits. I just got one of these Messers today, and hearing that it goes together easily is good. I had some issues with Eduard's Messer some months ago that's still not painted, so hope this one will go a bit smoother.
Thanks, hopefully you won't run into any new issues, have fun, cheers
Wow! Who said you only need to buy expensive kits!? This is an absolutely wonderful video to show what can be done with a bit of thought to augment a cheap and readily accessible kit to bring the results up to standard with the best of them. I have this kit in the stash and you have now given me the road map to get to the sort of result I would like to make with it. Thank you for the time and thought you put into this video.
Many thanks for the kind words John! Glad to read you like the video
Beautiful work, and really like the painting of the figures too.
Thank you Jonathan, glad you like it 👍
Highly detailed for scale 48 but nothing fits together! A complete bag of plastic crap!
You can save a lot of time when buying some of the other brands instead, I happen to have a pile of ICM kits in the stash, so I might as well try to make something out of it :) cheers
@@stevenshobbychannel As can see, you didn't install the engine into the yellow 14 from Marseille, and I know the reason. With the engine the motor coverage doesn't fit. But another question, how did you manage the crispy splattering decals from ICM?
@@ichmalealsobinich Hi, I never mount an engine in my models when it will be hidden, that said I have no doubt this would give a fitting issue in the ICM kits. About the decals, I cut them out and put them one at a time into luke warm water, microscale set is aplied onto the model, decal is put in place on model with tweezers (over a gloss coat), then I push out any air with a brush, then microscale sol is brushed over the decal. I keep an eye on the decals and brush microscale sol again over the decal a few times.
@@ichmalealsobinich Also, the decals should come loose by themselves in the water, I wait until I can move/slide them on the back-paper with my finger, if they don't move easy on the paper then they are not ready.
@@stevenshobbychannel In spite, all maintenance details with clear area fell apart after the were loosening from the back paper. I managed finally the problem by overpainting the decals with clear acrylic colour before they are soaked into the water to loose them. That functions. But still they remain to be very crispy.
What skills! I admire them!
Thanks Whirlybird, I still need to improve but thanks for the kind words
glad i found this channel. very knowledgeable and skilled modeller. subbed!
Great video Steven, thanks for sharing your skills and interests
