Rory Reid does a great job here, the car is outstanding and to give full respect to the amazing Norman Dewis was a special touch. IMO the best new Top Gear item by far.
coming from a grand tour fan, this is a such a good review! why is it so hard for most people to enjoy multiple shows at once? if its good content and bringing a car enthusiast good information, then there's no need to bash a show just because it doesn't have our favorite presenters presenting it.

I can really relate to this, I once had to do something similar, whilst working for the same company. I was tasked with driving a prototype, loaded with it's test equipment from Gaydon, all the way to the test facility in Barcelona, a distance of over 1000 Miles overnight. I was helped by another who came with me so we could at least swap drivers, but we went non-stop, neither of us slept, and we made the drive in something like 17.5 hours. I know the weight of responsibility Rory must've had on this drive. Massive respect to him.
yeah it may be a little cinematic, but this one of the greatest drives I've ever watched, the words of Norman was very moving... hats-off to Rory & TopGear... 👍👍👍

They would have had a team of people to give the car a once over and could have easily got a brand new car show room ready in 5 mins flat. They never said he drove straight onto the show room floor. The point was to recreate the legendary trip and get there in enough time for the show, which they did. Whether 20 mins early, 10 mins late doesn’t matter, long as it made the show. Really liked the way the told the story of the driver and bringing his amazing life to the world while showing off two of the best looking cars ever made.
And I'm probably the only one here who has driven from Geneva back to Manchester in one stretch on only 2 hours of sleep the night before. In a Saab 93. Last year.
